Emberlef checked through her herbs, making sure she had everything she needed before leafbare.

Wolfspirit was seated by the warriors den, eyes closed but not asleep. He was deep in thought, organizing the first few patrols of the day after seeing who all was awake and around.

Moonflame and Shadewing were chatting off to the side of camp, both with their tails curled over their paws in the cool weather.

Pinepaw stretched and stepped out of his nest, the first few steps out of the den were uneven but they steadied as his paws woke up.

Wolfspirit opened his eyes and dipped his head to the leader. "Good morning, Brackenstar," he meowed, sounding formal as usual.

"Fine as always," Wolfspirit replied after giving one paw a few licks and drawing it over his ear. "And yourself?"

"Always good to hear," WOlfspirit commented. There was a break in the conversation as he surveyed the camp once more before speaking again. "I was just starting to put together a few patrols for the day before you came out."

"Morning Emberleaf," Moonflame meowed. She had left her spot beside Shadewing and was on her way to the fresh kill pile.

Amberwave was laying down in the shade, a mouse and a vole laying next to her front paws. She was waiting for her sister to wake up and eat with her.

Aspenpaw woke up quietly with a yawn before shaking out her pelt. She glanced around with bleary green eyes before exiting the den in search of her sister.
