Arc 9 is here and you were chosen to write the next big villain! Is it a cat from within the clans (again)? Is it a cat with a large formidable group (Darktail/Scourge)? An evil otter that can talk to cats? You decide!
How would you write and decide your villains motivation, mannerisms, traits, personality, etc Don't be afraid to be creative.

I'll probably go more into this later, but one that comes to mind is having a medicine cat who is so desperate to prevent a dreadful prophecy from coming true that they end up fulfilling it themselves, all while essentially ruling the Clan with an iron paw in the process.

Kind of similar to Tinuviel above in that I would absolutely do a medicine cat, particularly a Windclan medicine cat. I would have them at first be eager and earnest to heal and excited to be special and receive signs from Starclan, but as they grow older and realize how much power they hold over their Clanmateโs lives, they grow more and more arrogant and self-righteous until they begin to make up signs to get what they want done.
A cat they choose gets to be deputy, for example. A cat who slighted them in the past is deemed traitorous by โStarclanโ and punished or banished, cats they like get perfect treatment, cats they donโt like have a bad time or suffer from illness to death. Once they start trying to play God, thereโs no going back. And their eventual defeat or death results from their own arrogance.

I have two ideas
One, a non-cat villain. Sharptooth was cool, but a bit of a one-hit wonder. It would be very fun to have some kind of epic quest to defeat a giant predator like that actually occupy a whole arc, treating them kind of like a dragon or great king equivalent. Alternatively, it's a smaller animal like a monkey or something like that which leads a troop of other escaped zoo oddities. I think this would be very fun in presenting a new and unique type of enemy. One idea that particularly comes to mind here too is of an escaped kind of wildcat from a zoo, and that it would reveal that its version of the clans' historical events is very different.
The second is more simple in so far as I would like a group of villains who raid the clans constantly. Kind of like pirates or Vikings. Just because I think it's neat.

I want a rabies storyline so bad like a zombie apocalypse basically ravaging the clans and the clans having to fight back would be so amazing

I feel like this would be a really cool idea! Though I would take it one step forward and make it almost like an underground mafia style thing. With all the non-clan cats the clans are taking in some of them have to be evil or working for a greater leader. So all the kittypets that joined the clans would be feeding information to an outsider rogue or something.

i have to agree with some posts above and say an evil medicine cat. we are so due for one ! it would be really interesting to see a medicine cat ruin lives because of fake prophecies and signs or something like that

I actually had this in mind recently. First of I would love it if the protags in arc 9 were 3 randomly generated existing clan cats. It would be more interesting to see this challenge to unite these random protags instead of, "here is young warrior 1, and young warrior 2 who is the love interest/sibling of 1, and anxoius medcat." I specifically came up with the protags, full grown Whistlepaw, Finleap, and Ridgekit. I find it that using the supporting characters from other arcs like AVOS would be super cool to not only enhance their own story but also an ex-protag, instead of letting an ex-protag be the parent of a new protag (Ivypool and Dovewing). Not only that but in regards to the villian in this scenario I picture Ridgekit feeling oppressed by clan life and wanting to explore/leave the clans. There could be a journey that is sending clan cats, and he tags along to experience the outside world. On the journey is seperated leaving Finleap left to help raise and mentor Ridgekit. However due to Finleap's own insecurities he ends up misleading Ridgekit. The book would then leave on a cliff hanger, and start the next book with a huge time skip to post apocalyptic clans being dictated by an uknown villian. Towards the middle of this book it should be revealed tht the villian is a grown Ridgekit. I would love for there to be a true villian protag and a sense of suspence, also showing the worst case scenario when a villian has complete power and succeeds leaving the remaining protags to overthrow them.

First thing ^^^ Comment above is amazing! Would pay to read this!
Second: I want five siblings, each representing a misfortune. Each come to the Clans as mysterious strangers. One at the the time the siblings are rejected by the clans and when rejected that tragedy happens to the Clan that rejected them. Also bonus content if one or more is accepted they appear suddenly healthier and the opposite of their misfortune and bring good luck to the Clan that accepted them.

From previous posts, an evil medicine cat or rogue spies both sound so awesome!
I also think it would be cool to bring back the badgers who used to inhabit the Lake Territories, and have one of the main characters (maybe a POV protagonist, but likely just in a prologue or two) BE one of the badgers. Theyโd probably meet Midnight and learn to speak to cats eventually. It might bring a lot of new ideas into the franchise to craft the badgersโ society and see how it differs from that of the cats weโve seen. New ways of life, behaviors, animal traits, traditions, myths, social and language structuresโฆ And it could lead to absolutely brutal battles and warfare.
Thinking about it, the badgers lived around the lake for generations, the same length of time the Clans lived in the Forest territories. It would be interesting to see how they try to rebuild their societies elsewhere, and maybe have a Badger Warlord rise up to lead them and retake their ancestral home.

Villain protag and medicine cat. (I know, generic, but we've never had these and it would be really cool if we had at least one of them. Or an evil protagonist who just so happens to be a medicine cat!)

First of all, I love a lot of the ideas presented on this thread, especially a villainous medicince cat would indeed be neat!
Personally, if Arc 9 takes place in modern times not long after ASC, I'd love for Sol or/and Sleekwhisker to come back and get instantly defeated though (since my AU stuff is just unlikely to happen and I never was impressed with either of them as villains. Maybe Sol, who must be pretty old by now although he's younger than Leafstar, could come back and ask for refuge in the elders' den but still would manipulate one of the leaders into letting him stay. My guess for that would be Harestar since I doubt he'd come back in time this arc to team up with Splashtail. Either, Sol is being genuine and only wants shelter or he could be in trouble by having caused trouble for others, or he is planning something/continues scheming from inside the Clans. Perhaps a group of rogues he's convinced to attack the Clans (and maybe including Sleekwhisker) is lying in wait, or him or/and Sleekwhisker had kits (yes, I'm aware he's a tortoiseshell tom and thus likely infertile, but this is Warriors, not real life) that he plans to get into the Clans and still raise up to destroy them.
I once wrote an AU where Sol had two kits, both of which he got to join the Clans and taught them to harm them from within. One of them followed his plans while the other went against him.
On a similar note, I have another AU where Sleekwhisker has kits (two again because it just works so well in terms of a set-up of two siblings on opposite sides). In that AU, Darktail was their father, even though the timeline would not match up considering that he dies in SS and she shows up again in RoF where the canon example of a very pregnant Yarrowleaf shows that it would've been very obvious if Sleekwhisker had been pregnant (and also considering the fact that Darktail was not interested in her canonically, but that's what AUs are for). But yeah, Sleekwhisker raises her two kits to despise the Clans and then sends them to join two seperate ones when they are around 12 moons old, pretending to not know each other and a few moons apart to avoid suspicion, with background stories where one heard about the Clans from growing up with rogues and the other from kittypets (with a false story to have been raised as one). I would imagine that one joins ShadowClan and the other WindClan but have not written much further than that except for the fact that this is similar to the Sol one were one follows the plan set out for Sleekwhisker while the other turns against her.
Then again, I'm still hoping Arc 9 will be a DotC sequel or at least take place 5-10 years in the future after ASC if it is really a modern sequel. So an evil or morally grey medicine cat would indeed be great potential for either arc idea.
