the descendants
Status
open, joining encouraged In a circle of stones upon a black ridge, countless cats sit still as the boulders around them, each darkened pelt glittering as though though they had stolen the stars from the blank sky above. There is no wind or trees, and the grass is still, but the night is filled with a faded whispering, too low to make out the words. Perched at the crest of the hill are five figures with eyes shining with the light of the absent full moon, their gaze seeming to beckon you forward. Your ears strain as you step forward, the whispering growing more urgent but no more clear. As you pass through the crowd, the stars in the cats' pelts blink out one by one, as as you brush by each silhouette it fades until you are standing alone, face to face with the five, and the whispers fall silent.
"They will come."
The five speak as one now, the intensity of their shared voice rattling inside your skull. Their gazes weigh down on you until you feel you may as well be buried beneath the stones. But even as the panic of suffocating overwhelms you, you cannot move from the ever-brightening glow of their gaze, until all the world turns to blank white and you feel you may never breathe again.
You open your eyes to the familiar scent of your home, shaken by the vivid dream. Nightmare? You blink away the images of the strange dream, unaware that it will be visiting you again soon. β§ β¬ β΅ β΄ β― βMain Plot
Arc One: The Call
The Five Great Clans died long ago, many generations now, and their descendants were scattered across the land. Though stories of the warrior code and the heroic deeds done in its name have been passed down, its laws have been long since forgotten and StarClan all but faded away. In a last effort to preserve themselves and memory of the warrior code, the last warriors of StarClan - confused and half-faded shadows of their former selves - call out to their last living descendants. Across the land, cats begin having strange dreams. Although they begin merely as an odd nightmare, many cats begin seeing shadows flickering or wisps of starlight in the forest, accompanied by the whispered, ominous words: "They will come."
When and if the Descendants begin to find one another, StarClan intends to encourage them to reform the Clans, whether as recreations of the old five or as something new. StarClan itself is split over this decision; some believe that there is no point if the Clans cannot be reformed as they once were, while others feel that perhaps adapting to a new age is best. Some still think that it would be better if the Clans were forgotten altogether. But of course, the spirits of StarClan aren't the only ghosts with an interest in the fate of the new Clans, and the Dark Forest stirs anew as well. Even so, all the spirits, good and evil, have begun to fade away as they are forgotten, and their memories of their lives and their Clans are only half-remembered. Between their lost memories, the weakness of their powers, and the lack of unity amongst the spirits, StarClan's ability to guide the new Clans as they form is precarious.
Subplots
β§ Cats who are not Descendants may take an interest in the new Clan(s) as they form. Some might be loners or rogues in the area who are not so keen on new competition, perhaps even directly fighting with the Descendants for territory. Others might be non-Descendants interested in talk of Clan life. How the Descendants will deal with these outsiders remains to be seen.
β§ Though the spirits of the Dark Forest are just as faded and forgotten as StarClan, they may seek to use StarClan's division as an opportunity to influence the Clans and their new warrior code into something more favorable. That said, the Dark Forest may not end up being any more united about their ultimate goals than the warriors of StarClan are.
β§ β¬ β΅ β΄ β― βroleplay rules
β§ The usual: follow forum rules, keep the roleplay forum-appropriate, be nice to each other, etc.
β¬ Please keep characters realistic (within typical Warriors parameters) in appearance, abilities, and personality. At the moment, there should be no unnatural type abilities beyond some cats possibly having a slightly better connection to StarClan or the Dark Forest. Appearances follow Warriors rules in that they don't have to be 100% realistic but they should be believable.
β΅ Although I won't impart a literacy limit on this roleplay, please try to keep it somewhat slow-paced and mid-level: decent grammar with enough content to build off of, without writing an entire novel each post. One or two paragraphs per post is suggested, but use your best judgement.
β΄ Similarly, I won't impose any particular activity level, but I would say to at least try to keep the RP going at a steady pace. Ideally, between all members there should be at least one or two posts a day. Please keep roleplay posts on the roleplay page, and chat posts in the planning page (although you may include some OOC text on your roleplay posts).
β― Things that happen in the living world should be roleplayed on the main page, while things that happen in the spirit world (StarClan or the Dark Forest) should be roleplayed on the spirit page. So, when spirits visit the living, that would be done on the main page; when cats visit the Dark Forest or StarClan's hunting grounds in their dreams, that would occur on the spirit page. This is mostly meant to help keep spirit plot and non-spirit plot separate for players who might not want to know what spirits are up to.
β There is currently no limit on the number of characters each player can have, but if a lot of characters end up being sidelined and ignored this could change. StarClan/Dark Forest characters do not have to be active and can be used sparingly, but living characters should consistently remain at least somewhat involved in events. β§ β¬ β΅ β΄ β― β

β§ Players may create Descendants (who are descended from one of the original five Clans: ThunderClan, RiverClan, ShadowClan, WindClan, and SkyClan) and are receiving the dream about the stone circle from StarClan. Descendants may or may not be aware that they are descended from the Clans, but even Descedants who have heard stories about the Clans only know a little. For example, they might know the name of the Clan they're descended from but not the others, or might know one or two rules of the warrior code, but not the whole thing.
β§ Players may also play non-Descendants, who are not descended from any Clan and are not receiving dreams. In order to be included in the roleplay, non-Descendants must have some reason to interact with the Clans/Descendants, either because they are interested in joining or because they are opposed to new Clans forming, perhaps even fighting over territory or resources. Descendants might have heard legend of the Clans, but would know very little actual information about them.
β§ Players may also play spirits of StarClan and the Dark Forest who have an interest in influencing the Descendants. Spirits are partially faded, and have lost many of their specific memories. They may know general details about who they were, what Clan they were from, and how Clans worked, but do not remember specifics like how they died or what happened to the Clans.

Descendants
 Sparrow
β¬ she-cat
β΅ Tall, lithe light brown she-cat with distinct darker dapples and pale blue eyes. Her muzzle, chest, belly, lower legs, and tail are all white, and she has a noticeable snaggletooth. She usually looks somewhat disheveled.
β΄ Sparrow is a pragmatic and straightforward cat. She's not really one for games, and isn't apt to dance around what she wants, nor let others be cagey in turn. Her bluntness, and a slight lack of tact along with it, tends to push others away, but Sparrow doesn't usually mind being on her own. An effective huntress in her own right, she tends to think that others mostly just slow her down.
β― Most of Sparrow's life has been uneventful. She was born and raised in the forest, and has lived as a wanderer her entire life, rarely staying in any one place for long. Eventually, she ended up expecting kits, and although she was caught by surprise and had already left their father behind, she was excited to be a mother. It was not to be, though, and all three of her kits died soon after birth. That was only two moons ago, and although the worst of the grief has passed, Sparrow is still not quite back to her usual self.
β Brother is Fox. Kits are Pine, Thorn, and Minnow (all deceased). Their father was Shrike. She is a Descendant of WindClan.
 Beast

β΅ Lanky, long-legged dark brown tabby tom with amber eyes and a white muzzle, chest, and belly. His lower legs, ears, tail, and much of his face are black, but one leg does end in a white paw. Beast's short fur is shockingly soft, possibly due to his age and diet.
β΄ Beast is a playful and unserious cat, constantly getting into mischief in his twolegs' home. He has very little sense of danger or caution, and frequently gets himself into trouble. He is extremely friendly with other cats, but occasionally tries to taunt dogs or other animals for fun.
β― Beast's upbringing has mostly been uneventful. He was born in the twolegplace to a wild mother, but twolegs took their litter in when they were only a moon old and sent to their current homes not long after. Beast doesn't really remember his mother, or even most of his littermates, but that doesn't particularly bother him.
β Sister is Kiki. (open to parents/siblings) He is Descendant of SkyClan.
 Miss Sprinkles (Kiki)

β΅ Sleek dark gray tabby she-cat with bright yellow eyes and a white muzzle, chest, belly, and paws. Her hind legs and tail-tip are white. Kiki is always very neat and well-groomed.
β΄ Kiki is quite prim and proper, even somewhat arrogant. She is the only cat in her household and is rather spoiled by her housefolk. Although she can be playful at times, she's not really interested in hunting or even going beyond her garden. She has a tendency to look down on wild cats or cats who spend much time, in her mind, running around in the dirt.
β― Kiki was born to a wild mother in the twolegplace, but twolegs found the litter and took them in when they were only a moon old. Kiki was given to her housefolk at about two moons old, and only barely remembers her mother and littermates. She is a little curious about where she came from, but she is satisfied with where she's at so she typically pays it little mind.
β Brother is Beast. (open to parents/siblings) She is a Descendant of SkyClan.
 Blaze

β΅ Massive light ginger tabby tom with narrow yellow-green eyes. His muzzle, paws, and tail-tip are white, and he has a white patch on his face and chest. He is covered in scars and his ears are torn to shreds.
β΄ Blaze is a mixed bag: he can be friendly and even quite helpful when it suits him, especially when he wants something from someone. He is courageous and ready to help other cats defend themselves from predators or other cats... but it always comes with a price. Blaze expects to be paid back for every good deed, and when cats are unable to meet his demands, he readily flips from being good-natured and charming to vindictive and vengeful. He will go to substantial lengths to keep other cats under his influence, sometimes using charm and sometimes using coercion and even physical force if he feels he is justified (and he usually feels he is justified).
β― Blaze has lived much of his life in and around the twolegplace as a rogue. He was raised with an aversion to kittypets and twolegs - possibly a holdover from the warrior code, but it's hard to say - and had a habit of bullying kittypets and weaker alley cats. He doesn't typically venture into the forest, as he doesn't like the competition (and has had a bad run-in with John a time or two), but he risks it for better prey from time to time.
β Current mate is Poppy. Daughter is Seraphina, but they don't have a relationship. He is aa Descendant of ThunderClan.
Acorn β§ 32 moons old
β¬ she-cat
β΅ A sandy brown she-cat with light brown eyes.
β΄ Acorn is a lazy diva who wants to do nothing more than sunbathe and enjoy freshkill all day. Despite her vapid nature, she hates to see a cat in trouble and believes in helping others. The collaborative nature of the clans appeals to her (even if it's under the mistaken belief of a lighter workload than traveling on her own!)
β― Descended from ancient Skyclan, Acorn always felt more at home in trees than that twoleg nest she'd grown up in. When opportunity struck, she escaped the kittypet life and never looked back.
β Twist is her sibling from another litter.
Seraphina @swaggycassie β§ 16 moons old
β¬ Molly
β΅ Seraphina's coat is described as "rust-colored", the dark red covers a majority of her body and appears almost metallic when groomed. The darker tabby spots resemble dark holes that have worn away over time, adding a more rustic feel to her small frame. Along with the "rusty" color are black "ghost tabby" patches that are sharper than the rust-colored ones and seem to resemble wings. Her frame is short and muscular, despite this she is a very good runner and is light on her soft, white paws.
β΄ This molly tends to be cowardly and discreet. She is never seen in one place due to leaving at any sign of danger, and doesn't stick around long enough to make friends. Seraphina is careful with her words if she speaks at all, and when she does speak it is very quiet, and almost ghost-like.
β― Seraphina is a ThunderClan Decedent, even if she doesn't know it. Her flighty temperament and quiet nature do well to hide this fact, not resembling the loud, lion-like cats that ThunderClan used to be. However, her short, muscular frame and high morals attracted the attention of a spirit and she has been haunted by terrible nightmares ever since. Currently she resides in a tall-grassed meadow commonly known as Pheasant Fields.
β Father is Blaze. Fox

β΅ A tall ginger tom with darker ginger classic tabby stripes. All four of his paws are white and he has amber eyes.
β΄ Fox is a calm and stoic cat, able to handle and control his emotions quite well. He remains level-headed in stressful situations and tends to be thoughtful and calculated in his actions. While he may keep to himself and pretend he doesn't need anyone else, he is actually very caring, protective, and selfless towards others, especially when he knows and cares for them. He tries to avoid getting attached, but he has a good memory and rarely forgets a face/interaction.
β― Fox was born in the forest and split away from his mother and littermates once he was old enough and knew how to care for himself. He wandered until he found an area he was fond of and has been there since, with his own little den in the hollow of a tree trunk. He is a descendent of WindClan, and learned a little about it from stories that his mother told him as a kit, but not much.

β΅Shrike is a large dark grey tom with black tabby markings and a white chin. He has one yellow eye. His right eye is missing as he wasn't born with one. There is a scar over it.
β΄Shrike is a charismatic and keen tom. He seems quite likeable as long as he gets along with another cat. Otherwise, he comes off as aggressive and quite territorial. He has a temper and isn't afraid to threaten cats who pose as a threat to him. Shrike is brash and doesn't have any shame whatsoever. He believes that whatever he chooses, it means he is in the right.
β― He is descendant of ShadowClan. Shrike was born to his parents, who were in a rogue band along with Poppy, his old friend. The two grew up together and he became extremely protective of her. Shrike may have had an inkling of romantic feelings for her, but never admitted to them. He had a short romantic relationship with Sparrow, but it didn't last long.

Non-Descendants
 John
β¬ tom
β΅ Large, lanky black and white tom with narrow blue eyes and a very long black tail. John's ears are torn to shreds and his flanks are covered in scars. Quite intimidating-looking between his size and scars.
β΄ Despite his appearance, John is actually a very friendly and welcoming cat. He is rarely one to actually start a fight, just to finish one, and only for a good cause. Although he usually keeps to himself, he is happy to share fresh-kill or a story with any cat he comes across, as well as to lend a helping paw where he can. Cats in the area often seek him out to help deal with fox or unfriendly rogues. This means that although he has his share of friends, John also has no shortage of cats who wouldn't mind getting back at him.
β― John was born as a barn cat, but he left when he was much younger and wandered ever since. Although he's settled down in this general area, he doesn't really have a permanent den or territory, and often travels between the forest and the twolegplace. Sometimes he stays with housefolk for a day or two, but never long enough to really consider himself a kittypet.
β Twist is his daughter, but he doesn't know about her.
 Poppy
β¬ she-cat
β΅ Small, fluffy calico she-cat with one blue eye and one green eye. She has a slight bend in her tail from where it was broken before, and a scar over her right eye, which is partially blind.
β΄ Poppy is extremely meek, enough to be considered quite the pushover. She never really stands up for herself; in fact, it's never really occurred to her that she even should. She doesn't really think much of herself or her own skills, and has a habit of finding the strongest cat or group that she can find and endearing herself to them for protection. However, this strategy backfires as often as it works, and it's gotten her hurt plenty of times. She doesn't really know what else to do, though, as she doesn't think that she would be able to survive on her own, despite the fact that she is a decent hunter. She hasn't really considered that there could be places out there that are peaceful.
β― Poppy was born in the twolegplace and raised amongst a nasty group of alley cats who constantly fought each other for everything. Her parents paid little attention to her, and she quickly learned how to fall into the shadow of a stronger cat to get what she needed. Recently, though, the fighting has gotten intense enough that she fled from her home and met Blaze not long after.
β Current mate is Blaze. Grew up with Shrike, and they have a relationship that is ambiguous as to whether it is familial or romantic.
 Belle
β¬ she-cat
β΅ Small black Scottish fold she-cat with round orange eyes and folded ears. She has very thick, fluffy fur and a white patch on her chest and nose bridge.
β΄ Belle is very dainty and friendly, and is very gentle both to her housefolk and to other cats. She is extremely cautious, even to the point of often being anxious. Her housemate is Beast, and she both admires his seeming fearlessness and constantly worries for his safety. She is curious about the world, but rarely ventures beyond the garden, or even out of the house.
β― Belle was born in an animal shelter, where she lived until she was about five moons old, when she was finally adopted by her current housefolk. She doesn't really like to talk about her time in the shelter, and is very grateful to her housefolk for rescuing her.
β She was born very far away, so it's unlikely she will ever meet any of her kin again, if she has any. However, she has come to see Beast kind of like a little brother.
 Pine
β¬ tom
β΅ A small blue-grey tom who spent much of his life undernourished and shows it. He has an old scar across the bridge of his nose from kithood, and dark grey markings. He has light green eyes.
β΄ Quiet, and a little shy, Pine is likely to yield in a fight for territory, which hasn't exactly helped his growth. He's easily spooked and a touch cowardly, but longs for deep friendship worth being brave for.
β― Not a clan descendant. Pine has lived a solitary life with no siblings or family worth speaking of.
 Sage
β¬ she-cat
β΅ Small white she-cat with soft grey spotted tabby markings. She has a fluffy tail and yellow eyes.
β΄ Sage is energetic, friendly, and playful. She is an optimist, always trying to stay hopeful and focus on positive outcomes, and is very kind towards others but also a little scatterbrained at times. She can be affectionate and touchy. Although she's so outgoing and curious, she is a bit cowardly when faced directly with dangerous or scary situations, and tends to react in a freeze response.
β― Sage was born in a kittypet home. After leaving her mother, she was adopted by a family who would lock her in a cage every time they left the den, leading to her having issues with confinement. She has recently moved to a new twoleg den, with different housefolk who are much kinder, but she prefers to spend her time outdoors when she's allowed.
β I imagine she doesn't have family in the area, but open to housemates and other relationships! Twist
β¬ she-cat
β΅ Twist is a fluffy pale brown and white tabby she-cat with olive green eyes. She has two scars across her back.
β΄ Twist is an adventurous and playful cat. She is still young, so she tends to act more like a child than an adult. She is quite naive and will believe any cat, especially if they have bad intentions. She is boisterous and tends to make obnoxious sounds whenever she's speaking or doing something. However, Twist loses focus on important things. She'll be preoccupied with meaningless thoughts or duties. She likes finding accessories for herself, especially moth wings and flowers. It reminds her a bit of wearing a collar, but she takes pride in it.
β― An escaped kittypet, Twist is somewhat new to the life as a loner. She used to live with a pair of Twolegs, but she left on her own. She wanted to explore instead of being tied up with her former owners. So far, she's found the journey to be less than exciting. She is not a descendant.
β Twist's father is John although she doesn't know anything about him. She is Acorn's half-sibling from a different litter. |

StarClan
 Aspenfall
β¬ she-cat
β΅ Large, muscular russet tabby she-cat with shining amber eyes and one white paw. She has a long, plumy tail ending in a white tip, and a dappled pattern on her face and legs.
β΄ Aspenfall is a kind and honorable warrior, although she is not really much of a diplomat. She is always ready to support her Clanmates (which she now considers to include all of StarClan), and to fight in their defense. She is a little quick to use claws, but will back down if her Clanmates think there might be another way to solve a dispute. As dogmatic in death as she was in life, Aspenfall feels that the fate of the Clans is best left to the Descendants, and that non-Descendants should have no part in their reformation. Perhaps they could earn their place in Clan life later, but how the new Clans are formed, she feels, is for Descendants to decide alone.
β― Aspenfall once served as the deputy of SkyClan, shortly before the Clans were destroyed. Although she doesn't remember the details, she does know that she was killed slightly before the end of the Clans, and it's possible that her death was in part one of the final blows to SkyClan. She remembers a happy kithood with her littermates and her mother, but not much else.

 Snailfoot

β΅ Small, scraggly-looking white tom with a dark gray head and tail, and black lower legs. His large orange eyes are round and luminous almost like an owl's, making him look a little unsettling in the dark.
β΄ Snailfoot is a cautious and soft-spoken cat, often preferring to listen to others before offering his own opinion. That said, he is resolute in his beliefs and not one to be easily swayed, even if he lets others have the first word. Although he will not force his opinion on others, he can be a bit stubborn when it comes to his own behavior. Snailfoot is undecided about the Descendants, and although he hopes to guide them towards creating something that will last, he believes that the time of him and his Clanmates has passed and that the future is in the paws of the living, whatever they decide to make of it. He dislikes that many of the other StarClan cats will seek to force their vision of the Clans on the Descendants, and may try to stop them where possible.
β― Snailfoot was the last medicine cat of ShadowClan, and he knows that he stayed until the end, even if he can't remember what the end actually was. He believes that he died either as the Clan ended or shortly after, perhaps due to being unwilling to go on without a Clan to call home. He remembers a lonely kithood and apprenticeship, but finding meaning in healing his Clanmates and communing with StarClan. He has some idea that he fell in love at some point, but he doesn't remember if he ever broke the warrior code and acted on his feelings. He hopes he didn't.
β Younger brother is Frosteye. Perhaps he'll eventually remember who it was he fell in love with.

The Dark Forest
 Frosteye
β¬ tom
β΅ Small, mousy dark gray tabby tom with one bright green eye; the other one has been scarred over and blinded. He has torn ears and scars covering much of his body. His face and one leg are white.
β΄ Outwardly-speaking, Frosteye is a surprisingly cheerful, easy-going cat. He seems friendly enough, and despite all his scars typically prefers not to fight unless he knows he can win. On the occasion that a living cat finds themselves in the Dark Forest, Frosteye enjoys listening to their stories, although he's not partial to the company of other dead cats. Although he is typically not malicious, Frosteye lacks any real sense of empathy and is capable of a profound callousness if he feels that another cat is standing in his way. He is not intentionally cruel, but he has no concerns about the harm he causes to other cats, especially if he perceives them as being in the wrong.
β― Frosteye was once a warrior of ShadowClan and believed strongly in the warrior code. In the final days, as the Clans began to collapse around them, he began taking this belief to extremes, even going so far as attempting to kill code breakers in an attempt to preserve the Clans and the warrior code. Although he doesn't remember the details, he knows that he was killed by his own Clanmates and was not allowed to enter StarClan. He still believes that he was only doing what was best for his Clan, and that StarClan is cruel to reject him.

β΅ Lanky, long-legged gray tom with pale yellow eyes and lighter flecks dappling his pelt. His muzzle and front paws are white, and the tip of his tail is a darker gray. He has a claw scar on his right cheek, and still wears the black collar that he wore in the end of his life.

β― Reggie was once a RiverClan warrior named Smokerain, and he has hazy memories of an unremarkable but pleasant life. He stayed with his Clan throughout its hardships, but when it seemed clear the end was coming, he instead allowed a family of twolegs to take him in. He lived remainder of his long life as a kittypet. When he eventually died, he expected to rejoin his Clanmates in StarClan, but they rejected him due to his perceived disloyalty.

She is quite naive and will believe any cat, especially if they have bad intentions. She is boisterous and tends to make obnoxious sounds whenever she's speaking or doing something. However, Twist loses focus on important things. She'll be preoccupied with meaningless thoughts or duties. She likes finding accessories for herself, especially moth wings and flowers. It reminds her a bit of wearing a collar, but she takes pride in it.
β― An escaped kittypet, Twist is somewhat new to the life as a loner. She used to live with a pair of Twolegs, but she left on her own. She wanted to explore instead of being tied up with her former owners. So far, she's found the journey to be less than exciting. She is not a descendant.
β Twist's father is John although she doesn't know anything about him. She is Acorn's half-sibling from a different litter.

β΅Shrike is a large dark grey tom with black tabby markings and a white chin. He has one yellow eye. His right eye is missing as he wasn't born with one. There is a scar over it.
β΄Shrike is a charismatic and keen tom. He seems quite likeable as long as he gets along with another cat. Otherwise, he comes off as aggressive and quite territorial. He has a temper and isn't afraid to threaten cats who pose as a threat to him. Shrike is brash and doesn't have any shame whatsoever. He believes that whatever he chooses, it means he is in the right.
β― He is descendant of ShadowClan. Shrike was born to his parents, who were in a rogue band along with Poppy, his old friend. The two grew up together and he became extremely protective of her. Shrike may have had an inkling of romantic feelings for her, but never admitted to them. He had a short romantic relationship with Sparrow, but it didn't last long.
β Shrike is old friends with Poppy. He is Sparrow's ex.

Along with the "rusty" color are black "ghost tabby" patches that are sharper than the rust-colored ones and seem to resemble wings. Her frame is short and muscular, despite this she is a very good runner and is light on her soft, white paws.
β΄ This molly tends to be cowardly and discreet. She is never seen in one place due to leaving at any sign of danger, and doesn't stick around long enough to make friends. Seraphina is careful with her words if she speaks at all, and when she does speak it is very quiet, and almost ghost-like.
β― Seraphina is a ThunderClan Decedent, even if she doesn't know it. Her flighty temperament and quiet nature do well to hide this fact, not resembling the loud, lion-like cats that ThunderClan used to be. However, her short, muscular frame and high morals attracted the attention of a spirit and she has been haunted by terrible nightmares ever since. Currently she resides in a tall-grassed meadow commonly known as Pheasant Fields.

β― Sage was born in a kittypet home. After leaving her mother, she was adopted by a family who would lock her in a cage every time they left the den, leading to her having issues with confinement. She has recently moved to a new twoleg den, with different housefolk who are much kinder, but she prefers to spend her time outdoors when she's allowed.

He tries to avoid getting attached, but he has a good memory and rarely forgets a face/interaction.
β― Fox was born in the forest and split away from his mother and littermates once he was old enough and knew how to care for himself. He wandered until he found an area he was fond of and has been there since, with his own little den in the hollow of a tree trunk. He is a descendent of ThunderClan, and learned a little about it from stories that his mother told him as a kit, but not much.
