BlizzardClan
Introduction
You don't feel it at first but the cold deepens, and an icy wind blows against your pelt. As you tread delicately over the snow covered landscape, you are tempted to turn back, but something urges you onward, something deep inside you. All of a sudden you hear a sound, almost imperceptible, and a cat leaps down from a rocky outcrop in front of you. The cat is large, or maybe just looks so because of her thick pelt, her eyes are an icy blue and her pelt pure white except for some flecks of gray. You are startled at her sudden appearance and nervous that you've just tread onto some cat's territory.
''Who are you and what are you doing on BlizzardClan territory", the she-cat demands, her voice strong and full of authority.
You feel quite intimidated and answer,''I'm sorry, I didn't know any cat lived here, I was just passing through, I'll leave right away''. You turn to leave, but the she-cat stops you.
She fixes you with her intense blue gaze and looks at you intently, "How would you like to join BlizzardClan?", she asks. Now you have a choice: Do you leave? or: Do you come with this mysterious she-cat and join BlizzardClan?...
BlizzardClan Territory
The cats of BlizzardClan live in the sparse tundra, their camp is located at the base of a hill, underneath a rocky overhang which acts as shelter from the worst of the weather. They have dug their dens in the earth, finding that to be the option that offers the most shelter in this barren landscape. The leader's den is at the right side of the camp, while the apprentice and warriors dens are at the left. The nursery lies in the most sheltered part of camp, in the middle of the other dens, and the medicine den is a little ways of from the leader's den, the only den that is not dug into the ground, but rather a cavelike den in a rock. The fresh-kill pile is in the center of camp, surrounded by small rocks the cats have collected. And the leader makes announcements to the clan on a rock which they call the Flat Rock, near the camp entrance.
BlizzardClan Landmarks
Big Rocks: A group of large rocks that cat’s like to sunbathe on in the warmer months, also a good place to catch prey that like to hide in the crevices.
Icy Pond: A large pond which is the cat’s main water source, they don’t like to swim or fish so the pond is rarely used for any other purpose than drinking.
Heather Fields: A heather field which is a good place to hunt hares and rabbits.
Abandoned Bear Den: A dry, sheltered space, where BlizzardClan cats go to practice battle moves
BlizzardClan Traditions
Trial of Courage: when it is time for an apprentice to be made a warrior they must undergo the trail of courage, which is a set of 3 tasks made up by the clan leader, usually testing strengths pertaining to the clan, and it always ends with a trip to the Crystal River, where the apprentice receives his full name from the Bright Stars.
Day of Thanks: On the first day of leaf fall, the clans hold a ceremony thanking the Bright Stars for the plentiful greenleaf and ask them for a good leaf fall and leaf bare, both clans gather together and catch a lot of prey, they eat most of the prey, but bury some in the earth as a gift to their ancestors.
Time of Remembrance: When a warrior dies, the clan holds a ceremony to remember the deceased warrior, the cats who were closest to them each bring a gift that will be buried along with them. The gifts all represent things about the cat, such as traits or qualities.
Day of Celebration: On the first day of new leaf, when leaf bare has come to an end, both clans come together again and celebrate the return of the warmer weather. Instead of feasting as they do on the Day of thanks they do not eat during this ceremony, instead they celebrate by holding different contests, such as who can climb the farthest, or run the fastest.
BlizzardClan Predators&Prey
Predators that the cats of BlizzardClan have to face are mainly foxes and owls, but sometimes they will have to deal with wolves,wolverines, and the occasional bear. Their prey consists of mainly rodents such as minks, lemmings, ground squirrels, marmots, hares,voles, etc., but they will also catch small tundra birds if they can or need to.

*Keep cats realistic(no unrealistic fur colors, powers, etc.)
*No killing off someone else's character without their permission
*Post at least once every one to two weeks(I understand life can get in the way so let me know if for some reason you won't be active for more than two weeks so I know you are still in the rp)
*No powerplaying or controlling other people's characters
*No graphic mating or kit bearing scenes
*Cross-Clan romances are allowed, but they are considered forbidden by both Clans
*Let me know if you have any ideas for potential subplots for BlizzardClan, all ideas are welcome!

Main Plot for BlizzardClan
For many moons BlizzardClan and EvergreenClan have lived in peace in their arctic home, but in BlizzardClan not every cat is satisfied with their peaceful arctic life. The beginnings of trouble are showing themselves in BlizzardClan, and the cats will need to be stronger than ever to survive the comming storm...

1. A skirmish on the border separating EvergreenClan and Blizzardclan leads to deep distrust between cats from each clan.

Minkstar arched her back in a luxurious stretch. The cool, crisp morning air felt amazing on her pelt and she reveled in the beauty of the morning. She was one of the first cats awake besides the dawn patrol, which had just left, and began grooming herself as she waited for more of her clanmates to wake up.

Bright morning light woke Goosewhisker from deep sleep, he slowly got to his paws and stretched, noticing his sister, Ptarmiganflight, wasn't in her nest, he assumed she was on the dawn patrol.

Shatterpaw — Open
A silver-and-black blur shot out from out of the Apprentices' den, running about in circles for a few seconds before deciding on an impromptu rehearsal for her furthest leap. She bounded over a small bundle of stones in the clan clearing, but in her imagination, she was flying over the Big Rocks out in the territory, with awed stares pointed her way.
This blur was Shatterpaw, an apprentice of 10 moons of age. She wasn't quite sure what had come over her, but something in her spirit was buzzing, humming with activity that she just had to express. If she were to be productive with it in her training today, then she would be on top form!
However, her idea of an outlet for this burst of energy was to join the dawn patrol. Which she had not been assigned to.
As the last few legs headed for the entrance to camp, Shatterpaw took a few deep breaths to focus herself. She looked out for anything on the floor that would crunch under her pawsteps, then lowered herself to a stalking position, stepping forwards at the back of the line...

In the warriors den, Winterflake slowly woke up and stretched, she left the den and padded over to the apprentice's den to fetch her apprentice, Shatterpaw. Upon her arrival at the den she noticed Shatterpaw wasn't in her nest. She might have been worried if it had been any other apprentice but knowing Shatterpaw she'd probably woken up early to go on some sort of adventure. But still, Winterflake knew it would be best to search for her in case she'd gotten herself in trouble. She felt a twinge of annoyance, Shatterpaw should know better by now. Winterflake usually expected this with Shatterpaw,but today was different. Feeling no need to wake the rest of the clan,she headed out of camp to find her apprentice. |

Heatherstorm loved feeling the morning breeze brush through her pelt. She peered over her shoulder, spotting her friends, Rushingriver and Shatterpaw, while Pigeonflight was walking in front. She decided to begin a conversation with her clanmates.

Ah, what a beautiful day in the tundra! The rising sun brought the world to life, and a crisp breeze brushed against her pelt, almost spurring her into action. Considering herself fully assimilated into the patrol, Shatterpaw's stalk turned to a casual, inconspicuous walk. Her heartbeat picked up a teeny bit when she saw Heatherstorm peer over her shoulder, but Shatterpaw seemed to escape the deputy's notice. In the clear, get in!
That was, until Ptarmiganflight came to a sudden stop, the rest of the patrol joining her on her signal.
Oh, crud. All Shatterpaw could think to do was crouch down in the hope that she could pass off as a rock. But it was no use; she mentally prepared herself for the texture of old bedding on her paws.

Frostedpond exited the warriors den, stretching their legs out behind them They moved into the camps clearing near the prey pile, and layed down peering at the fresh-kill next to her. She poked around at the prey-pile before deciding on eating a mouse.

Rushingriver nodded in agreement with Heatherstorm It was a wonderful morning the usually cold air was just a crisp breeze, warmed by the rising sun. “Lovely indeed-” Rushingriver craning his head hearing something from the underbrush. He listened to the surroundings her ears perked for any danger. He turned to take a step forward towords the source of sound. The tom took a deep breath smelling the air. “Shatterpaw?”

Ptarmiganflight took a step toward the apprentice who seemed to be trying to make herself as inconspicuous as possible. " What are you doing here, Shatterpaw?," she asked. Goosewhisker(in camp with Frostedpond) QUACKGoosewhisker headed out of the warriors den, and, noticing Frostpond eating a mouse beside the fresh-kill pile, padded over to her. ' Good morning', he meowed with a friendly flick of his tail.

Heatherstorm - On the Dawn patrol with Shatterpaw, Rushingriver & Ptarmiganflight.
"Great Starclan! Shatterpaw, what are you doing here?" Growled Heatherstorm. She let her fur fall flat on her shoulders, before continuing, "This is quite dissapointing behavior, Shatterpaw. But I'm glad to see you excited about being on patrols." Heatherstorm complimented, but her eyes narrowed on the apprentice.

Greywind slowly makes his way out of the warriors den and takes a moment to adjust to the cold air. Yawning, he glances around to see what his clanmates were up too.
Silverfrost: Camp Open
Silverfrost walks past her brother and over to the fresh kill pile. She hoped there would be something there for her to eat. She briefly considered bringing her brother some prey but decided he could come get it if he wanted to. She picks up a mouse and walks off to eat it.
