Could Dark Forest spirit Tigerstar successfully kill Scourge or will this battle result in a stalemate or another win for Scourge?
Tigerstar knows about Scourge's reinforced claws now and knows that once he dies again he'll stay dead so could Tigerstar use this knowledge to win? Firestar struggled against Scourge two times despite knowing about the claws so this isn't a automatic win for Tigerstar.
In my personal opinion you could make the argument that Tigerstar was indeed caught off-guard in the Darkest Hour while acknowledging that Scourge was also caught off-guard because Tigerstar literally attacked FIRST. Guess it's a matter of if Tigerstar can react fast enough to dodge any lethal attacks sent by Scourge.
I look forward to reading your posts and replies!

Scourge still wins. I never bought the argument of Tigerstar being off-guard, and I think it stems a lot from fanworks misrepresenting how things went down. If you look at fanworks where Tigerstar leaps, Scourge dodges, and cuts him open from underneath while he's in mid-air, I can see how one might think that it was just a miscalculation on Tigerstar's part. However, Tigerstar has already landed in the book after his failed leap by the time Scourge knocks him down and sets him up for the fatal blow. Not only had he landed, but he had turned to face him. He can't have been off-guard by then, it just doesn't make much sense.
Bearing that in mind, I don't think Dark Forest Tigerstar is THAT much stronger than his living self. He has a fighting chance just because yeah, he's skilled and strong, but I don't see him winning more often than not. Firestar was able to win because he had faith in something greater than himself, and could dig deep for just that little bit more. Same way he defeated Dark Forest Tigerstar. I don't think Dark Forest Tigerstar has that. As Barley said, it might make you better at fighting, but being better at fighting isn't enough. Scourge is someone who's pretty much perfected brutal, cold battle, and fighting him at his own game is just really tough. One has to avoid playing right into his hands, and Tigerstar never really showed he was capable of that. Still, like I said, he's strong and fights aren't perfectly decided.

I think that Tigerstar would win, I think he'd have learnt from the first time
