Twitter thread for proof.if anyone's curious, drop a post and I'll share some content! Surprisingly, there is some new content in here. I haven't gotten a new book early in ten years (last time was The Sun Trail). This was obtained at NYCC by my friend, whom I asked to pick up the book for me.

Lucky! I don't have Twitter so I can't see anything rip 💀 I so need to see the Fire/Gray POV from Starclan bit. So, the FireGray scene starts with Firestar and Graystripe, as expected, in StarClan. The two are as expected, banter-filled and old farts. They're recalling their days while they were alive, and Firestar mentions that he sometimes uses his time in StarClan to watch the living cats.
The first bit shifts to Firestar's time as leader and when Graystripe was his deputy.
In a nutshell and without spoiling too much for those who don't want it, Firestar basically royally offended his Clanmates by mentioning the lack of prey on the fresh-kill pile. To try and make up for this, Firestar and Graystripe go on their own patrol, but gets startled and falls into a ravine.
So you know how some people overdo it when telling a story? That's what these two did here and Thunderstar pokes fun at their memories, telling the two friends that Firestar was spooked by a squirrel, not a fox. LOL.
The second story is about Dovewing's first bit of time in ShadowClan. As expected, not everyone is welcoming and we find out that Scorchfur and Grassheart are basically being ***** to her and Grassheart mocks her for not liking frogs. Dovewing tells Tigerstar what happens, and he (as expected, because he's a ****) threatens to "talk to" the pair. Dovewing doesn't want this and wants to win over ShadowClan on her own. Before this, though, she decides that she needs to fix what else is eating away at her, and that is her bond with Ivypool. So, yet again, she makes a trip to ThunderClan's border (and was initially not exactly welcome) to talk to Ivypool. The sisters talk it out, and that tale ends with the two fixing their bond.
Tale three is featuring Alderheart and the refugee camp. It turns out that Alderheart is working with Twigbranch to try and get cats into the refugee camp safely. This includes Berrynose, who is still has useless as ever. This time, Cherryfall is also brought to the camp, even though Twigbranch is risking a lot by trying to help.
The fourth story was unexpected, but by far my personal favorite. This DotC-era story features Skystar and how he was the second leader to lose his nine lives (as shown by the fact that Riverstar, Windstar, and Thunderstar are still alive) and it was to a dog attack at a Gathering. Ravenstar is finally shown as ShadowClan's next leader, although his deputy is not named. Skystar is killed saving Feather Ear, one of Thunderstar's kits, and in return Thunderstar saves Star Flower from the dogs. We also see that Jagged Peak has died, since he, along with Gray Wing, Quiet Rain, and Shadowstar greet Skystar when he ascends to StarClan.
Sparrow Fur is not mentioned as Sparrowstar that we see, but since she was alive, it's only common sense that she succeeds him when he dies.
Basically this was a way to give us some insight into four different times of the Clans and some things that happened that we hadn't seen before.

If the Erins were smart, they'd give us more slice of life in Starclan shorts. Thunderstar interacting with Firestar? Just inject all that happiness right into my veins please.
Thank you for that!

Congrats! Can you share more about the New Code story Bramblestar Speaks and the Firestar and Graystripe StarClan story? Bramblestar is reflecting on what happened with Ashfur, and wonders if there was any peaceful way to really prevent it from happening. This narrative seems to really focus on leaders losing their power, and even mentions Brokenstar or Tigerstar 1.0 as examples of leaders potentially losing their rank and file based on their actions. I was surprised to see that even Bluestar warrants a mention in here, and he says that perhaps she could have retired to the elders' den due to, and I quote, "her paranoia against her Clanmates". Bramblestar reinforces the fact that they couldn't just up and get rid of "the rule that a leader's word is the Code", and explains that they decided that a majority vote must be held, and that all remaining leaders must agree to ask StarClan to strip the leader of their nine lives. It also mentions cats moving Clans, and mentions Graystripe, Mistystar, and Stormfur (I think he means Stonefur since he mentions Tigerstar going at them for being half-Clan despite not knowing about it). Below is the new Code, if you're interested in it.

So if Squirrelflight became Squirrelstar, there would be no way a vote-of-no-confidence would happen. She'd have to willingly step down/retire. Really hope she gets rejected in that case. And what if the deputy had really good objections? Imagine Firestar being unable to raise any concerns and needing to wait for his clanmates to do anything about Bluestar had this been implemented during his time as deputy.

Oooh, interesting! I think I'm looking forward to the Dovewing and Skystar ones the most! What exactly is Dovewing and Ivypool's conversation like? Okay, so. Dovewing is really struggling with fitting in with her ShadowClan Clanmates, and she thinks it's because she left ThunderClan on such a sour note. Dovewing, not liking how she feels about this, makes her way to the border because she knows it is the only way to get in contact with her sister. She doesn't necessarily regret leaving, because she loves Tigerstar and their children, but she absolutely wants to make amends with Ivypool.
Their discussion revolves around their bond as sisters, and kind of feels like one of those "closure"-type discussions you'd have. Dovewing asks Ivypool how she feels about her leaving ThunderClan, and Dovewing says that she was angry about the whole thing. Ivypool admits that she very well still may be angry, but at the end of the day they are still sisters and Ivypool still believes in Dovewing. While Ivypool still kind of hoped for Dovewing to come back to ThunderClan, she does accept Dovewing's choice to stay and the entire exchange is actually very sweet.
I can kind of relate to this, and it brings about probably now one of my favorite quotes in the series now.
"I need something from you. You've always stood by me, even when we were angry at each other. Even if you can't stand up for me in my new Clan, just knowing that you still believe in me will make everything better. Are we still... us? Are we still sisters? Don't give up on me."

YESSS, MORE DOTC CONTENT!
Oooh that's really interesting about Skystar! Wasn't expecting him to be the second to die, to be honest. And him dying saving his grandkit is really sweet! Thunderstar saving Star Flower from the dogs is really cool as well. Jagged Peak dying before Skystar isn't something I really expected? But it's interesting. I guess it might make a kind of sense, given his leg thing, but still.
Awesome. Today is a good day.

Also just realized, you need the medicine cats to agree as well. So as long as you have them in your corner, or even another leader, you can't be touched?
Jay and Alder would have absolute faith in Squirrel so... yeah not happening.
This feels like it fixes nothing except have the option there.
And apparently Starclan doesn't need anyone to go to the Moonpool to remove and give lives? How else would you force a leader to give them up? This just raises more questions than answers tbh
