I hate that whenever people I know tell me that I should talk/text them more often and when I do they barely talk or never respond to me. What's the whole point of telling me to text/talk to you more often if you're just going to leave me hanging!?

Okay, so there's this one kid...
Right, in my school class, there's this kid, he's super agressive and rude, and gets annoyed by everything. The worst part is, he shows his anger through PHYSICAL VIOLENCE. Yes. He kicks, punches and hits things, and sometimes even other students.
Worst part is, out homeroom teacher is so nice to him it's annoying, and he doesn't get the proper punishment he deserves.

I hate when people think we, as a plumbing business, are in it for charity. Sometimes they’ll tell us sob stories thinking we’ll give a free handout, like YO— HAHA, YOU BUGGIN’? Or, “Why is this part this much, when I can get it for THIS much at Home Depot?” Listen, when you go to a movie theater, you think they’re gonna charge you the same for candy and a soda as they will at the dollar store? Nope. It’s all about convenience. We’re bringing Home Depot TO YOU. If we charged the same exact price, what sort of profit do you think we’d make? Or when people think it’s “gouging.” Like, don’t use that term in the trades bro. It’s an insult. Do you know how much money is involved in company tools, vehicles, uniforms, cellphones, insurance, maintaining an office, advertisement, leads, etc? If we didn’t charge what we do, we wouldn’t even be able to operate, and then, coincidentally, we wouldn’t be able to FIX YOUR PROBLEM. Like bro, haha, we have a pro-press machine that CRIMPS copper. So while some other guy is torching on a copper fitting, we’re done in less than a few seconds. How valuable of a tool do you think that is? Not tryna brag, but I KNOW we have some of the most reasonable prices, too, because we be tellin’ people to call around and they come running back. Or when people are like, “Well, this handyman will install my heater for $350!” 350?! HAHA, laughable. Right, let an unlicensed person, who doesn’t know the code, mess with your heater. Just saw a guy do that and for one, he had two totally different types of pipe connected to each other, CPVC and PEX, which one glues, the other is crimped on. And then this handyman freaking put in a natural gas water heater to a house running off of propane! BECAUSE THIS GUY WANTED TO BE CHEAP, HE ALMOST BLEW HIS FAMILY STRAIGHT TO HELL. Not knocking on handymen but damn. Most the time we be fixin’ stuff that someone who had no idea what the hell they were doing touched. But hey, it’s your money and your risk, do whatever you want Ahem. Sorry. Didn’t mean to rant but I got really into it the more I kept thinking about it

historical myths that are widely regurgitated as proven fact even by supposedly "reliable" sources (looking at you, History dot com). like 90% were just straight up created by the victorians for funsies, and everyone after them was just like "ah yes we have no primary sources contemporary to the time, only this one dude from 1860 claiming its true, but it must be certified fact that everyone in 1375 france worshipped teapots" me with corsets. idk if you've seen that video where it goes over the history of myths surrounding corsets but it's grazy. victorian men were literally just making shit up

But hey, it’s your money and your risk, do whatever you want Ahem. Sorry. Didn’t mean to rant but I got really into it the more I kept thinking about it adding onto this, i work at goodwill and i hate discount culture. is that a word. i'm making it a word.
customers don't even say hi anymore they just look at you and go "MILITARY!" or "SENIOR!",,,, they've started making up discounts that we don't even have too. one customer asked me for a discount because the item was used. I WORK AT GOODWILL. A THRIFT STORE. SECONDHAND STORE. WHERE THE ITEMS. ARE USED. another asked me if she could get a discount because she's a christian. goodwill doesn't offer religious discounts, that would exclude us from non profit status. and trying to figure out why she wanted a discount made me giggle. was it a sunday? no it was a thursday. was it a bible that she was purchasing, maybe? no, she was purchasing a desk lamp. how entitled do you have to be to think you're gonna get a discount for your religion.. another time, a customer asked if, instead of purchasing a shirt like a normal person, she could take off her shirt and switch it out for the shirt she wanted and just walk out the store wearing the shirt she wanted instead of. purchasing it.
okay now i'm getting into rant mode. another thing about goodwill that i hate is that we offer a tax exemption for resellers. like. why are we encouraging them. like every time they come in i give them the exemption but i'll be glaring them down the whole time. and they'll be so smug about it too. they'll be like "ahhh yeah i found this item, turns out it goes for 400 dollars on ebay. i think i could make a big buck off of this one" dooooon't give a shit.
lastly i hate when people go "you get these items for free, why don't you just give them to the community?" labor costs,,,, also they do not acknowledge that goodwill has career services and a career academy (that's what the round-ups and donations all go to) that's completely free so we have to. finance it. somehow.

We had to replace the oven and the guy took one look and was like "ay yo, this entire house is a fire hazard." Thankfully because they knew it wasnt our fault that the wires were like that cause we just moved in they had a team of dudes fix basically everything and only charged us as if it was one person. The first dude was like "dont worry about it i couldnt sleep at night if something happened" So yeah unless youre positive its a small fix do not touch anything.

Older people who are completely out of touch and just tell you to budget better.
No budget is going to change the fact that rent and bills are 80% of the income my guy. "live somewhere cheaper" this is literally the cheapest possible place I can live that isn't a literal slum where I have to worry about break ins or hearing shots at night.
Also it costs more money to even be able to leave, how is someone supposed to just abandon everything with no savings?

electricians, not electrical engineers. I didn't realize there was a difference 😳 Electricians are the people who can just come in and lay the wires and fix them and whatever, electrical engineers are the people who do things like lay out blueprints and know the physics behind electricity to know what wires are okay to go where and touch other wires or parts of the wall etc. without causing things like fires or shorting the breaker box, which is something that happened a lot before we got it fixed. So basically the electrician made it "work" but because he didn't know what he was doing he had left like open wires just inside the wall and had several of them connected up that shouldn't have been that made it overload if too many things were plugged in or turned on at the same time.
