The Swift and Sure

Moons ago, a cat known as Lightningtail, a WindClan warrior, decided to strike it out on his own, joined by his ThunderClan mate, Swiftfoot. Together, the two traveled to a new moor, and established a new Clan. Lightningstar was killed by a badger attack in their new territory, making Swiftfoot leader. After her, their kit Dawnriver became the leader, and now, her son Furzeclaw is now Furzestar.

During the many moons away from the main Clans, LightningClan has a neighboring Clan named SplashClan. They were a group of loners that decided to become a Clan at Swiftstar's instruction on the way of a Clan.


LightningClan territory is a moor, with a small forested area in the northern corner of the territory, with a river running through the territory. The camp is located at the edge of the forested area.


The most common prey for LightningClan is rabbit, though the river provides fish as well to those cats that can swim and fish, a trait passed on from the few RiverClan cats that left to join LightningClan. Birds are also common. Lizards, frogs, and mice are rather uncommon, except for mice in the forested area of LightningClan's territory.


Leader:

Furzestar, brown tabby tom with green eyes. Furzestar can be a bit pushy at times, and is extremely set in his own ways. However, he always has time to listen to his warriors, and does everything he can to be the best leader he can be, as his mother, grandmother, and grandfather left quite a legacy for him to follow. Deputy:

Turkeyjaw, a slender grey tabby tom with copper eyes. Turkeyjaw is wise and level-headed, a rather popular figure in the fact that he's fatherly and typically knows what to say in any given situation. He is pratical, somewhat traditional, and incredibly loyal. Turkeyjaw is demisexual and demiromantic. Family: Open. Mate/Crush: Open. 


Medicine Cat(s):

Daydrift, a gray and white tabby oriental longhair she-cat with green eyes. Daydrift is a dreamer, with her head in the clouds. She's physically there, but not mentally. She's spiritual as well, but in an unorthodox way where she believes even prey and plants have afterlives. She's calm, peaceful, and serene, with not a care in the world. If you have worries or pressure, come to her and talk and she'll calm you down. Daydrift is demisexual and panromantic. Family: Cloudstream (littermate). Mate/Crush: Open. 


Medicine Cat Apprentice:

Grasspaw, a dusky gray tabby with brownish stripes, and bright green eyes. Grasspaw is a very caring cat, and is a pacifist, which is the reason he became a medicine cat instead of a warrior. His mother Elvira was a loner that joined the Clan for a short time after he was born, and left when he was about 5 moons, as Clan life turned out to not be for her, but she wanted him to be happy and left him with the Clan. She still visits sometimes, and is welcome in the Clan at any time. Bisexual. (Runningsky123)


Warriors:


Lostdawn, a pretty silver tabby she-cat with blue eyes, and dark gray paws. Lostdawn is extremely bubbly, and loves to talk to every cat in camp. Lostdawn was found as a kit at the edge of the territory, and was taken in by one of the queens, Mistywater, who is now an elder. She once wanted to be a medicine cat, until she fell in love with a fellow apprentice, Darkpaw, now her mate Darkstalker. Bisexual. (Runningsky123)

Darkstalker, a dark gray tabby tom with black paws and dark blue eyes. Darkstalker is rumored to be the Great-grandson of Brokenstar, though this has never been confirmed, as his parents were killed when he was very young, but their names have trailed down the line to be traced to Brokenstar. He is a very quiet and secluded tom, only ever talking to those he trusts, most of all his mate Lostdawn. Demisexual. (Runningsky123)

Runningshadow, a dark gray tabby tom, pretty much the exact opposite coat as his sister, with black stripes that almost blend into his dark gray. He has dark green eyes, and is incredibly agile. However, he is a larger cat than his sister, and because of this, often is unsuccessful during hunts, as he does not have stealth on his side. Ravennight is a pretty black she-cat with very dark gray stripes, almost blending into her fur and dark blue eyes. She is extremely swift and agile, and is a magnificent hunter due to this. However, she has to rely on her ability to dodge and avoid hits in battle, as she is not very strong. Because of this, some cats see her as a coward, but she sees it as being smart and living to fight another day. Family: Runningshadow (brother), Duskwatcher (father) {Runningsky123}

Flareclaw, a dark ginger tabby tom with a scar on his back and side, and green eyes. He is shy and quiet, but is very protective of his crush Runningshadow. Flareclaw is bisexual. Family: N/A Crush: Runningshadow {Flareclaw}

Spottednight, a small grey she-cat with black flecks dotting her curly pelt with a black tail tip and light blue eyes. Spottednight is known for her calm and level-headed personality. She tends to be lazy, always sleeping in. Spottednight is heterosexual. Family: Mistfeather (sister, OTC) Mate/Crush: Open {QUACK}

Greyfoot, a silver tom with black spots and yellow eyes. He has a lean build with muscular legs. Greyfoot is a proud and narrow minded cat. He is fiercely loyal to the Clan and will do whatever he deems as necessary to keep his Clan safe. He is pretty straight-forward except when it comes to his feelings. He can be a little snappy if you catch him in a bad mood. He prefers to have a small group of friends, usually those who are similar to him. Greyfoot is heterosexual. Other: He was born and raised in the Clan. He has eyes set on becoming one of the best. Family: Stormclaw and Riverwing. Open for siblings. Mate/Crush: Looking for a mate. 

Rippleshine, a handsome silver tabby tom with green eyes. Rippleshine is very curious and social, as well as flirty. He is homosexual. Other: Rippleshine was left with the Clan as a week-old kit by a rouge named Fox. Family: N/A Crush: Flareclaw

Cloudstream, a lilac longhair oriental she-cat with pale green eyes. Cloudstream is a very go-with-the-flow cat, and is peaceful. She is a pacifist. She doesn't believe in rushing life and just takes her time. She's chill, calm, and has quite possibly never experienced emotions like anger, frustration, or aggression. She can be considered lazy. She's also very open-minded and always willing to listen to a cat cry out their woes and she will do what she can to help. Cloudstream is pansexual and panromantic. Family: Daydrift (littermate). Mate/Crush: Open. 


Apprentices:

Emberpaw, a ruddy gray tabby tom with an orangish-brown hue to his fur, and amber eyes. Emberpaw was rescued from a fire in the abandoned Twoleg nest not far from the edge of LightningClan territory by Ravennight, and was raised by her, seeing her as a mother figure. Emberpaw is, no pun intended, a spitfire, and is a very ambitious cat, wanting to grow up to lead the Clan. He is very outspoken, and is not afraid to speak his mind. His mother is unknown to him, as she was killed in the fire. However, after some investigating, he discovered that Elvira, Grasspaw's mother, was his own mother's older sister, and therefore he is Grasspaw's cousin. He loves to spend time with his cousin when he can, though their differing training schedules complicate that sometimes. Mentor: Turkeyjaw Bisexual {Runningsky123}

Brownpaw, a brown and white splashed tom with amber eyes. He is eager to please and wants to do everything to the best of his abilities. Failure scares him and he shies away from rejection. This makes him a little skittish. He tends to trip over himself in the presence of authority figures. He can also be very gullible and naive, an easy cat to manipulate. Brownpaw is questioning. Family: Emberpaw (littermate). Mate/Crush: Open. Other: Brownpaw was also saved and raised by Ravennight. Mentor: Lostdawn

Elders:

Mistywater, a silvery grey tabby she-cat with white paws and blue eyes. Mistywater is an extremely kind she-cat, and absolutely loves kits, having lost her only biological kit. She is the adoptive mother of Lostdawn, and treats her no differently than she would have her own kit. She is blind in one eye due to cataracts from old age. Mistywater can be a bit far-off at times, lost in daydreams, which has gotten her into trouble, even when she was a warrior. Her mate, Snakestrike, died at the claws of a rouge, making her extremely untrusting of outsiders. Heterosexual. (Runningsky123)

Duskwatcher, a dark grey tabby tom with darker grey stripes, not quite as dark as his children. He has dark blue eyes, and was one of the best hunters and fighters in the Clan when he was young. However, age has taken some of the strength from his body and agility from his legs, causing him to retire to the elders den at about 84 moons. He is extremely caring, and is always up for telling the kits and apprentices stories, and loves to see their reactions at some of his favorites. His mate, Nighthawk, was killed in battle shortly after their kits became apprentices, and ever since then he has shut himself off to finding another mate, as he was heartbroken at the loss of his mate. {Runningsky123}

Elvira, a dusky gray tabby with one white ear and blue eyes. Elvira is a loner that lives near the Clan, and is Grasspaw's mother. She is welcome in the Clan, and was known as Everheart while she was in the Clan, though she left the name behind when she decided that the life of a loner better suited her. She still visits her son and stays near by to be able to keep tabs on him easily. Heterosexual. (Runningsky123)

The Warrior Code does apply to this Clan, as does the rules of the Forums! However, I will not be posting the Warrior Code on here. For those of you who do not know it, send me a reply here and I will gladly add the link! Amendment: Medicine cats can have mates/kits, but are required to take a break from duties while nursing. In the case of a med cat with kits who does not have an apprentice, their pregnancy will be spent training another cat in day to day medicine cat duties. In the event of a catastrophe or large battle, nursing med cats do help.
While I will allow more ‘illegal’ names (I.E. Ghost-, Spirit-, etc.) I reserve the right to ask for adjustments to names, especially when the cats would have no knowledge of the thing being referenced (I.e. sea creatures, fantasy creatures, human terms, etc.) unless that cat has been a loner/rogue/kittypet and kept their name.
