Hello and welcome to this very laid back context. It will merely be called 'story prompts.' The idea is I will post a prompt and there is a month to write something to the prompt. It can be a short story, a RP post, a chapter of a book. It can be warriors themed - it can not. It can be posted to this topic, to this board, any other board, or off-site. Anything goes. Anywhere goes. The deadline is a hard deadline. Once June 30 is here, any submissions will be placed at random into a 'hat' (I'll roll a dice on Discord) and whoever gets drawn will get a prize. This is a contest completely about writing for fun with no stakes. You don't have to write well. You don't have to write much. The goal is solely to have fun. ----------- Prompt:
Wisdom is knowing when to stop fighting, but I've never been very wise.
-----------Rules:- Doesn't have to be Warriors. Can be Warriors. Can be humans. Can be dinos in dresses at an Opera house. We good. Cx - Submit your entry however you like. In the thread? Good. In WFF as a topic? Good. In an RP post in Off-Topic RP? Fine by me. On AO3? Sure, why not. A google doc? Sure, as long as I can get into it without an email. Anything goes. Anyway goes. - Length? What length? It can be any length. No maximum, no minimum. It can be a fic length or three lines or two words. Everything goes. - Prize: You have the same chance as anyone else. The goals are to write. The winner is selected by lottery. The prize is a piece of art drawn by me. - Why should I do this? Well, it's motivation to write something. This is just a fun little game to get you to do it. ^^ - Thusly, as follows, to turn your thing in, there is a hard deadline of the end of the month (June 30). There will be more of these things afterward, but it will be a different prompt. - Don't have something or someone that fits the prompt? Make one up. I'm not picky if you invent John Johnson on June 30th and decide he's scared of cheese. This is fine by me. XD -----------

Siara marched along her fellow fighters, the metallic clang of shiny metal hitting pavement repeating over and over. She felt the usual pride well in her chest at the sight of the civilians lined up to see the Imperial Space Army, Earth's last hope against the Invasion. This would be her last battle. Sargent Kone had told her this would be the governments last attempt to fight, and if they didn't win then... humanity would be forced to abide by the alien's laws. It was comforting in a way to know that whatever the outcome, this would be it. No more early morning marches. No more leaving your family on holidays to slaughter slimy creatures. And best of all, no more walking into the break room every morning to see one less person standing there. Humanity had been fighting these creatures for more than four years now, and the effects of the first battles still showed on the land. Giant craters, traffic lights thrown to the side like dolls, and buildings crushed as though by a giant's fist. The army itself looked out of place, with its silver boots and white cloth. Siara's brown hair felt prickly in the sun's light, as though it too was staring at her and wondering the outcome of the battle to come. Tommy, who was marching beside her, stared straight ahead. She remembered what he had told her before they set out. "I don't want to give them hope," he had said, "if I can't promise that their hope will become reality." Siara wasn't sure about that. If they were going to lose, why not give them hope one last time? *** "Fall back! Full retreat! I said fall back!" Sargent Kone's words sliced through her like a knife, although it was hard to tell whether it really was his words or the actual stab wounds that stained her pure white shirt. Siara felt her heart sink as she saw his tall figure hunch over, a red rose of blood visible where his own heart was. That was it then. The last of humanity's best generals. The war, lost. But something inside of her burned. She stood up straighter and followed the troops to where the retreat sight was. Cries of agony and utter defeat reached her ears as she walked. When she got inside the tent she looked around at the about one hundred people, the last remains. "Brothers, sisters," she suddenly called. "we are the last hope. The last army. We aren't really going to give up now, are we?" Her tone was noble and caused everyone to look at her in surprise, their bruised and dirty faces turned towards the brown-haired girl with the burning blue eyes. "If we're going to die, we might as well die fighting for a good cause. So stand up, save your tears, and join me in one final fight!" They cheered at her and stood up to follow her. She grinned and held up her spear, clanking it on the ground. *** Twenty years later, a monument was created in memory of the brave Final Pushback that saved everyone. And in the front, was a statue of Siara Hue Modune, the infamous female fighter that led her army into battle and sacrificed herself to destroy the evil that plagued the earth. Congrats on winning! What would you like as a silly little doodle?

It was a lazy Sunday morning, and the town was unusually quiet. The sun was gently rising, casting a warm golden hue across the sleepy streets. The birds sang a soft melody, harmonizing with the gentle rustle of leaves swayed by the morning breeze.

My story for this prompt! I stood on the balcony, watching as the army made its way through the gates. As the commander, I spent most of my time going from camp to camp, reviewing the battle plans for each wing and giving orders on what to do from there. I would admit that it wasn't the best setup, but the king said it works just fine. It really doesn't though.
As the last of the army make their way through the gates, I can't help but wince. At least half of them didn't come back. I knew that four of the wings had been ambushed but... I hadn't thought it would be this bad. I told him didn't I? And now look at this!
They were sure to be mad at me. I would too. In fact, I was mad. But not at myself. You see, I may have given the orders, and the wings might have obeyed them, but I wasn't really giving the orders. No. I was only a puppet of the king. This way, if anything went wrong, I would get blamed, not him. If the people demanded an execution, they would get it.
Running down the staircase to my rooms, I pondered what would have happened if I hadn't given the orders. Well, I would have been executed I would guess. For disobeying the king. No surprise there.
I shed my regal clothing and quickly put on my regular garments, still too fancy to quite blend in as a peasants but they wouldn't stand out in the crowd. Luckily, my room was in the back of the castle, and escaping was easy. I had practiced many times, just in case I would have needed too.
Jumping out the window, I braced for impact. I was on the second floor, not too high, but I could still get hurt if I didn't jump correctly. My windows faced the garden, so that was where I ended up. Night was falling, and only a faint line of the sun was left. That was good for me.
Racing through the garden maze, I knew my absence would be acknowledged by now, but not made into a big fuss. They could easily replace me with another person. You didn't really need to be good at anything for the job.
After what felt like an hour, I was free. The castle was far behind me, and I laid down in the bushes, falling asleep almost instantly. It's kind of a mini story; one of those stories that is in those group books with three in them or smthing? Like the Graystripe Manga, if you know what I mean.

See, I'm aware you're a bot that steals posts (I had to delete your spiel from the Autolock thread, thanks for that :/ ). I just can't work out whether you're an AI bot that picked this up somewhere else or if you're a copy-paste bot. This means Dew wins by default.

Also how do I post an image that I took? I'm such a newbie lol... So we sadly don't have any internal uploading options, so you will have to use a third party image hosting service like imgur or similar. Brownie did a guide here: wcrpforums.com/thread/518/easy-tutorials-code-imagesAnd the board that art is primarily put in is the Art Forum: wcrpforums.com/board/8/art-forum

How goes it, Mint? I'm still kickin' and going to have injection therapy on my neck and hope it alleviates the pain and stiffness there that is interfering with my writing and art.
