"Pssh, no! It's juicy and warm. Tender and sweet goodness melting in your mouth!" Magpie's mouth began to water just thinking of it. Vanilla would love a wild-caught morsel, she just knew it. It was far better than the tainted prey that roamed the twolegplace. Full off of their crowfood and debris. "I bet if I caught you a fresh rabbit from the moor, you'd never go back to your kittypet food."
The black and white molly paused as Vanilla disappeared into the twolegden. Her green eyes clouded with uncertainty, the fur along her shoulders rising with unease. She had never been inside the lair of a twoleg. What if they trapped her? What if she never went outside again? The thought of never returning to the moor was saddening.
Sucking in a breath, Magpie entered the den, flinching at the unnatural lights and strong smells.
"Come here, there’s plenty."
Vanilla was saying. But every hair on her pelt seemed to prickle at being in the den. She should hurry and eat to leave before the twolegs found her. What would they think when they found a dirty stray in their home? She gave the food a tentative sniff before taking a bite. It wasn't prey... it wasn't even better than the best scraps. But it would have to do for now.
"Don't you feel trapped here?" She asked, warily looking over her shoulder every now and again.

What if
Around the time Simon is convincing Kuta of that, and the kits have been able to sneak off and find Simon by then, one of the dogs actually attacks one of the kits (whether it just be playing way too rougher or actually going in for an attack, maybe resource guarding?)
Because i will totally nominate Finch to get attacked and injured and Simon somehow finds out about the attack
and I can see Finch getting a phobia of dogs after that

okay okay so if we go that route, which dog would be attacking? If it's Alecto, depending on the timeline how many rough corrections she's received from Bo, Spark, and any cat willing to put her in her place, it would certainly be her not understanding that she can't play rough with them
if it's earlier though I could see resource guarding be on her rap sheet
ORRR if Whispering makes the bad influence dog, I could see that going either way
Though I supposed to Simon it wouldn't necessarily matter because all Kuta needs to believe and know was that it was, in fact, a farm dog and that the kits are just in danger the longer they remain at the barn

my she-dog would definitely snap at a kit if it came too close👀
but shes also a little shit and would terrorize them on purpose if they came to close xD

Ooh I’m down for all of that lol. I’m also off the next two days so I’ll be on a bunch!
And oof yeah, cause like, Spark isn’t really protective of the livestock, that’s Bo’s job but he helps, but he is very protective of the cats, especially Heather (and especially now). He’s not feeling the grief about Sprite as much as her, but his way of showing it is protecting her.
But I love how much we’ve got the dogs involved lol. They really do add a nice touch to the farm’s dynamics

I feel like that works very nicely cause while Bo could reach Spark whereever he is fairly quick, he can't be everywhere at once and would like the security that there's somebody watching over the cats while he tends to the rest of the live stock
im also excited to see mad Bo
I imagine it may escalate to him purposely trying to deal damage on sight depending on how bad everything gets
and I mean if Alecto gets chased off the farm even for just a short time im down
omg just two lone boys trying to end the permanent and destructive girls night
