Milo -- Twoleg Place | With Zinnia - soot There seemed to be a hesitation before Zinnia met his gaze and repeated his own sentiment back to him. There was shock there - no. Surprise, maybe? Well, whatever the exact emotion was, it seemed he'd manage to subvert the black tom's expectations. A warm chuckle worked it's way out of him as he gave a slight nod. "S'what I said," His words were laced with amusement as he spoke. "Always been a kittypet, but I like being out more than in. Like you, I s'pose. Just haven't mustered up the heart to wander past the treeline." Expect for that single time, but he and Fran hadn't gone out too far. Treeline had just just behind them, really, only a few mouse lengths away.
Assurance came that time wasn't wasted. That was good, it was a worry he could let go of, then. "Reckon I will one day - maybe after this round of snow," Milo meowed in response. He'd face the secrets the forest had to offer at least once before his time here was done. He could ponder on that later, though. Right now he was focused on the way his companion seemed to grow smaller by the second. For a moment, he couldn't place what the behavior was meant to imply, not until he grimaced. Or perhaps attempted to smile, though he felt it was the former.
Regardless, Milo knew the look well. He'd crossed a line somewhere, he just didn't know exactly where. Or, perhaps the entire interaction was starting to weight on the round-eared cat. There were times that he failed to remember that not every cat was a socialite such as himself. It seemed this was one of those time. Right then. "Don't mind at all." Rising to his paws, he was forced to acknowledge just how cold he'd become - his pads were no succumbing to numbness and the chill that had seeped into his bones caused his joints to protest just a tad. Made for a perfectly fine excuse to make this trip quick for the other cat and hopefully ease what he interpreted as distress. "C'mon then - gotta get that blood moving 'fore you freeze up."
Honey -- The Forest | With Shadow - runningsky123 Alleycats were a new concept to her – the molly couldn’t recall Shadow bringing them up previously. Though, she supposed it wasn’t impossible. After all, she’d come across countless cats in both the forest and moorlands in her lifetime, so why had see assume that every single cat in the twoleg place had a den to return to? And better yet, why didn’t they try to leave the twoleg place all together? The wilds had their problems, but between the humans and their monsters, it didn’t seem too hospitable there.
Still, to hear that he may consider leaving his nest to join whatever a Clan was intrigued her. "Really? I didn't take you as one to leave them long-term," she mewed.
Before she could continue in an effort to learn more about this thought process, the scent of squirrel settled on her tongue. Perking her ears, Honey brought herself to a swift stop, lifting her tail to signal the same to her friend. Drawing in a slow breath, blue eyes flicked about as she worked to pinpoint the location of the morning's meal. Once she was certain of a direction, she dropped just a little lower starting to creep toward her prey until it was just in her line of sight.
Would she get to hunt as she pleased if she were beholden to a group? Would she need to hunt for the 'clan' before hunting for herself? Ugh, the entire concept seemed bothersome the longer she thought on it. Unfortunately, she'd thought on it just long enough that the morning's meal had escaped her before it even knew she was there. "Damnit," she hissed.

Bo -- Farm House | With Spark & Alecto - runningsky123 It wasn't as if getting a new dog was out of the ordinary. After all, he and Spark had just been pups once upon a time, and at least for him, there'd been others. How else would he have learned the ways of guardianship if not from a predecessor? Confetti was just a pup as well, still learning the ropes of the cattle's ways. Perhaps he just didn't expect it so soon. The farm wasn't too large for his own watch, per se, and it's not like any of them had reached old age. For just a moment, somewhere in the back of his mind there had been a spark of jealousy.
'New pups mean a strong pack - don't fret about them. Let them learn.' That's what Orion had told him when he was hardly a year old and brought to the farm. Echoes of his old teachings were enough to snuff out any negative feelings had started to brew over the idea. A new pup would be interesting for everyone. It'd been a while now since a new dog had to learn this farm's ways.
Word had spread fast among the cats, too. Vague comments here and there about a new dog coming, the human coming back at odd times of day reeking of who knew how many dogs. Though, when nothing came to fruition after a few weeks, whispered talks died down. Now, a full moon after the rumor had started, Bo was following the fence up the gravel path, barking in alert of a monster he didn't recognize. He only halted at the gate, hackles raised as a new twoleg clamored out. Were he truly motivated, he could clear the gate if he so wished. But there was no threat, not yet.
And none would come. The farmer came out, greeting the other. Bo took this as a queue to relax, releasing tension with a yawn and quick shake of his pelt. Only moments later he was joined by his beloved pack mate. "Knew I heard ya alerting," he said by way of greeting. Despite speaking to him, though, brown eyes watched on as the monster was opened again. Familiar sights of a leash greeted him, and then out hopped a pup. At first glance he figured she was a year old at least, if not just about to reach that.
"So it was," Bo agreed.
Alecto -- Farm House | With Spark & Bo - runningsky123 She had no idea where she was being taken.
Rarely had she been in the monster. The first trip in it was medical, and so was the second. Being poked and prodded and jabbed wasn't her favorite, but she tolerated it (only for the little snacks she got after). Another was to some sort of cleaner. Her claws had been trimmed, some more poking and prodding, and a bath. Again, not the worst, but that didn't mean she had to like it. The one prior to this? Medical again, though this time it was cuts from forcing herself under a fence to get after a coyote that had gotten too close.
It was these few experiences that had her shifting awkwardly in the back seat as she tried to balance herself. This, of course, would've been easier if she would just sit or lay down. Not that she would. No, she had to focus on the windows, try to figure out where she was being taken, and more importantly, why she was being taken. Sure, she could be a little pushy with the other dogs and even the few cats she hadn't managed to scare off, and she'd admit to getting through the fence on more than one occasion, but it was to neutralize a threat! Plus, the other dogs had never really corrected her for it, and she was all they knew. So, clearly, she hadn't done anything wrong.
Now familiar scents were reaching her, but they were foreign all the same. They were approaching a farm, that much was clear, but it wasn’t hers. Even the alerts of the dogs here were unknown to her. There was something exciting about this, though.
By the time the monster finally stopped, Alecto’s tail was held high and going a mile a minute. Her twoleg got out, had an exchange with another, then returned and leashed her. As soon the chance presented itself, the dog made quick work of jumping onto the gravel path, nose turning directly to the ground for a few moments. A farm was a farm, but these were all new scents.
After a moment she lifted her eyes, light brown eyes meeting those of two other canines. New dogs, new farm. Was she being moved?
Keeping her eyes training on them, Alecto followed the pressure of the leash as she was lead around the fence and to a gate. There her collar was removed, giving her the freedom to move as she pleased – so long as it was into the new field, that is. So she did, nose to the ground as she covered the distance between herself and the established back. Upon reaching them, she lifted her head to proper look at them, finding one was a good bit larger than herself. “I’m guessing I’m here to stay, so~o I’m Alecto!” she greeted with a cautious grin. At the very least, she knew to greet dogs older than herself with respect – let them approach and assess her rather than force her presence onto them. This was likely the only bout of manners she had about her.

All I’m saying is that the general number for savannah cat litters range from 1-3 kits and it wouldn’t be unheard of if he had younger siblings c:<

That’s a great question I’ve had him drawn up for so long - I want to say African (very general I know) but I’m no longer confident cause I’ve tried to look it up a few times but I never get a concrete result

Flame Location: Edge of Twolegplace With: Wila ( Feathertalon) “Oh, he was old by the time I got there. He always used to say he’d gotten a nice long life, and that was all he could ask for. It was sad, but, I don’t know. It’s nice to imagine he can run around and play and hunt like he would tell me stories about him doing when he was younger.”, Flame said. By the time he’d gotten there, even just getting out to the garden was a lot for Oakley. So it was nice to imagine the tom in his prime once again, somewhere up in the stars. “No, he couldn’t go very far. I’ve never been out this way.”, Flame said. “At least not far enough to see it. But I think you’re right.”, he said, seeing the glistening ice. He hopped down from the fence, and padded over to it. “Shadow said to still use the bridge even if there’s ice.”, he said. “That you never know how thick it is. He lost a friend moons ago who went exploring and fell through the ice. He was with another cat but she couldn’t get through the ice to get to him.”, he said. “So I definitely vote we use the tree bridge.”, he said. Shadow Location: The Forest With: Honey ( Myst) Shadow hummed softly at her comment. “I don’t know. I’ve been spending less and less time in the nest, and I just feel like something different might be good. I’m not getting any younger.”, he said. “And one of the main reasons I haven’t left before is being on my own isn’t for me.”, he said. “So I don’t know. It’s not a no, but it’s not a firm yes. Not now at least.”, he said, his tail waving slightly. He quieted down when she lifted her tail, crouching down as she did, having not senses the squirrel before her. He waited, thinking she was going to go for it, when the squirrel started heading off. Honey stayed still, but Shadow leapt into action. He was a bit too far to pounce on the squirrel, so he just ran at it. The fluffy rodent squeaked, and took off, in the middle of a clearing so it didn’t have a tree to run up. That was its downfall, as Shadow got to it before it got to a tree. One quick bite and the squirrel went limp. He walked back over to Honey, dropping it at her feet. “You alright there? Your mind was miles away it looked like.”, he said. Spark Location: The Farm With: Bo and Alecto ( Myst) Spark stayed close to Bo, watching the new dog approach. He was sure the farmer wouldn’t bring a bad dog here, but he was still a bit wary. Best to stick close to the dog that was bigger than the new one. He took a slight step back with how close she got to them before lifting her head up and introducing herself, relaxing a bit at the cheerful greeting. He was sure no dog that was rude or mean would be that enthusiastic. “Spark.”, he introduced himself, not bothering with his long name. No one but the farmer called him that, and that was only during competitions. Here, he was just Spark. He shook himself off to displace some of the tension he’d had before, seeming to relax a bit more. He did wonder why she was here though. Bo seemed to be doing fine guarding the farm, especially since it wasn’t even really by himself. Sure, he and Confetti were technically there to herd, but they were also more than ready to fight to protect the animals, or, in the case of the few coyotes or wolves that ventured close, alert Bo to them and then back him up. But maybe that was it. To have two dogs that could take on the larger animals. Spark wasn’t sure, but he wasn’t complaining either. It wasn’t that much of a problem, as long as she fit in well with them and the cats.

Edwina
—--------------------------------- The cold had well and truly seeped into her skin, and started ravaging her bones. The hunger, and traveling and cold leaving her plain.. Weak. So at the offer of warmth, she became almost drowsy, and desperate, but she forced herself to stay awake. To learn what in the stars was happening. Edwina will be the first to admit she’s always been curious of such things, those curses cats speak of, or even things written in the stars. The afterlife, where cats might still roam among the living. But she’s still.. Skeptical. So she wants- she must ask. That’s what she forces to the forefront of her mind.Until the scent of prey hits her, as Edwina had opened her mouth to speak once more, after following silently for a bit, pausing some, eyes already dragging her head towards where she could tell the scent was strongest.Edwina fluffed her fur, putting her gaze to Pumaheart, who urged her to sit down, and rest, with just the flick of her tail.Edwina had almost felt the genuine urge to keep a cool, nearly blasé expression at what she’d done to get here, like she wasn’t quite that affected. But once she pads over quietly, paws shaking with each step and grabbing one of the small prey animals left of two, and brings it over to a spot she can.. finally sit down. She figures Pumaheart will understand.Edwina’s pelt seems to be warming already, moving to lay down, bunching her shoulders, fluffing her short sleek fur, peppering her ears, and tucking her paws under herself. Edwina sinks her teeth into the animal’s meat with little hesitation, only a polite curl of her tail.Edwina ate. And once The Puma started speaking, she paused in her meal, even if it’s mouth watering temptation. And listened intently, eyes trained onto Pumaheart. Her ears flatten just a tad. The whispers quieted, just as the other molly spoke, Edwina intent in her picking apart of what she’s hearing.Spirits of old cats… Clans being reborn… And Edwina herself, a part of it.She blanches a moment, brows furrowed, ears perked straight up.“So.. there’s dead cats who speak to us? From- Starclan? Is that like.. The afterlife? Do all- cats go there?” She asks, tail moving to curl around her form. “And.. by healer of the gardens..- What.. is my part, in this?”

Kuta was in fact a kittypet lol I’m happy to retcon his story a bit since currently his story is just that he was bought by his twolegs pretty much as soon as his litter was about to be without their mother, and they moved to the area only recently and he’s since departed his humans To me it would make sense that his humans would have gone back to the same breeder for another 1 or 2 kittens from his mother’s next litter so if this were the case, Kuta would definitely have gone back to explain what was happening and why he wasn’t coming home, and then he would also make trips back to visit his siblings if not outright try to bring them out him - ultimately he would take his duties as older brother as seriously as he could despite his generally unserious nature

Zinnia
Twoleg Place -|- With Milo ( Myst ) —----------------------------------- Zinnia chuffed only slightly, the fur on his shoulders settling. He hums. “Well, that’s not.. A bad thing, really. This season maybe isn’t- ideal for wandering.” Andy replied. “It’s still pretty nice, being just there anyway. I’d, personally, wait for the warmer seasons to go out further.” The black tom adds with a quiet, hesitant chatter. He didn’t really know quite what else.. To add to the other tom’s responses, simply giving a chatter, or trill here and there. It’s that time he decides to really.. Take in, who it is he’s speaking with. This cat is certainly.. Interesting. Not the whole wanting to adventure the forest thing, plenty of kittypets think it’s a surprising, dastardly thought. But… a whole ton more of kittypets have left their twolegs for the exact reason of adventure, or sense of freedom. That doesn’t.. quite seem to be this one's motivations.Just a general curiosity. He doesn’t seem to harbor any ill thought towards his current situation. Seems fine with it, actually. He quietly sniffles, lifting a paw to bat at his muzzle before deigning a response. Nodding, and up on his paws he was, and leading he went. “Thank you.” He says a bit sideways, shaking his head, and moving to lift his chin, not staring at his paws. He doesn't want to seem smaller than he already is.Andy looks mildly surprised (once more) at the other toms words, chattering as he gets his long, but still smaller legs hopping. “Freezing is.. Not on the agenda.” He says with a long trill, tail balancing behind him.He leads them as fast as he’s able to while not going too fast, headed for the treeline. Out of the way of any up and at ‘em twolegs, or any other animals lingering around as polite and sociable as the one who’s currently coming with to.. Bid him goodbye when Andy heads into the forest. The trees are tall, and bare, when they reach them, Zinnia already stepping paw onto the somewhat muddied edges of the forest, before he turns to the tom.“Thank you, again. Not freezing yet. I.. forgot how much movement can help warm a cat up.” He says simply, and a bit.. Lost, not quite sure what else to say as he takes a glance to the forest, then back to Milo.He’s.. almost not wanting to leave, just yet.
(Not.. too happy with my dialogue in this one! But I'm committing, pft.)

But yes! I was thinking of the same owner as well ^^ For mine, I'm thinking a nice lil' gal. Cheery, with a light outlook on life, but also.. perhaps a bit unfortunate in luck on occasions? Still working on some of the kinks. But I'm happy to work on both of them to bounce well or interesting off each other!
