Feathertalon -Thank you! And uhm, cause I'm amazing at paying attention to important things. How exactly are the cats going to eventually start joining the clans, anything I need to think ahead for?

from what im assuming, i believe once crystal and kuta find pumaheart, she'll tell them more information about the clans and that it's time for them to be brought back. she'll probably give them hints of what cats to look for (like smoke, wisteria, flame, etc), and then bring them all back to her. from there im assuming all the gathered cats will search for other cats and tell them about the clans and ask them if they'd be interested o:

^i also assumed that either we would roleplay the recruiting process or maybe just say for some cats word had spread leading to them making the decision?

Ohhh thats gonna be interesting. I'm sure it'll be fun to do either recruiting or cat's hearing rumors and such, and go exploring to find the clans. I always have fun with this kinda stuff, lol

i feel like some cats the recruitment might be skipped over while others could be roleplayed out - because it would be fun to see that process for some characters but we're not gonna go over every single character's decision in writing just because that would take ten million years

Yeahhhh, it'll probably be like at least one or so of each persons cat's or something along those lines. And if they wanna skip they can just sum up what happened.

Feathertalon definitely want to roleplay Flame recruiting Wila, I feel like that would be an important conversation for her as a character, and for him, and for their relationship lol

Quinn grinned when he’d come to the decision to tell her about his past. Rising to her paws and leaping down to the floor. “This way.” The tabby cat never told her own story. Not even her closest friends knew. But she knew each of theirs very thoroughly. How Fran’s sickness led her to the cutter and lose her kits, and her unnatural adoration for her human girl, or how Wila’s housefolk urged her to breed like all the showcats before her. Though the dark-furred molly usually wasn’t comfortable speaking about it. Quinn respected it. They all had things they wished they didn’t have to go through, didn’t they? Things they wished they could just erase from time altogether. I sure do. If she could go back she would change her story. It's not necessarily a happier story. Happy stories were cliche. Too housecat-esque. Maybe she would change her story from running away in the cold winter to running away in spring or summer. Would she still have taken refuge in twoleg place? The easy way out. The rough yet familiar disapproving voice sounded in her head. She simply shook it away. There was no way of knowing now. No way of going back.
The molly led him to a corner in the kitchen where a strange water bowl sat. Like a mini waterfall. Except it was indoors. “Voila.” She mewed nonchalantly, bending her head herself to lap at the tangy water. Already the forest was calling out to her. Begging her to return. Her stay was only for the night.
Raising her head she stood back to allow Spackle to drink. Swiping her tongue over her maw, the curiosity returning to her. "So about your past-"
The clumsy click-clacking of paws nearing them interrupted her. And there stood an excited Harley. Her tongue lolled out and tail wagged furiously. "Oh Quinn, is this your friend!" She whimpered, fighting the urge to come to close. Cats were not very fond of her she'd come to the realizing. They thought she was too big, too scary. When they saw her broad head and her drooping chops that hid sharp teeth, they usually kept their distance. Even if Harley would never hurt a fly. It was best to be polite with cats. Her wet, black nose sniffed vigorously at the gray and white cat. He smelled of the outside world. How Quinn would smell every time she returned back from one of her adventures.
"Yes." Quinn growled begrudgingly. "Harley, this is Spackle. Spackle, this is Harley."
✧✧✧ The ginger tabby purred at her praise. His head held high as if that were something new for the tom. But it meant even more coming from Lillith. She just didn’t know it. She was the cat Leo craved praise from the most. It made him all the more confident.
He shook his broad head at her next proposition, waving her off with a paw. “You enjoy. I’ll eat later.” This meal was for her. She needed to restore her energy and rest. He could eat later when he was sure she would be fine. And even then he wouldn’t eat until he knew everything was safe. There was that fox scent near the chicken coops. He would go and check on it himself to make sure it was dealt with and then alert Alice on the matter once she returned. Winter meant every animal was hungry. Desperate. And if foxes were building the courage to intrude into the barns, what other animals would also be willing to take the risk? They needed to have their guard up just in case.
But he would worry about that later. Now his focus was Lillith and her health. He watched her proudly as she ate. A meal he had provided her himself. A task he hoped to continue for many years to come. He would provide for her and the rest of the farm until he died. It was his duty.
"So, you were mentionin' all the things you liked about me, I don't reckon you mentioning my good looks." He puffed, smiling a wide smile full of teeth.
(harley's a big mutt dog if anyone was wondering lol. i have her main dna being rottweiler but she only has the colors and build of one. her ears are pointy and her tail curls, i'll try to find a reference picture for her)

Percy’s words of reassurance calmed his nerves. Another skill of the ginger tabby that Smoke felt he needed in his hectic life. He tended to fall deep in his head, and now he had Percy to pull him back out. A smile returned to his gray face. Of course, they would restore the clans together! They were partners now. And he knew the tom would do all he could to help him seek more information about the Clans. Would they be together still when they lived in the clans? He hoped so. What would be the point in making a new companion if it were only temporary? The resentment from earlier returned at the thought. Of all the cats who’d invaded Percy’s solitude and built a relationship with him. Only to leave him as if he were nothing more than a pile of dirt. The young tom, Quiver, who’d gotten what he wanted before disappearing. Or the mysterious she-cat whom Percy seemed very fond of who left him in thin air. His heart felt for him. Smoke knew what that loneliness was like. It stayed with him a whole year before finally coming to terms with his mother’s death. He hadn’t had a choice then. He knew his mother would have to leave someday. A part of him was even prepared for it. But he was not prepared for the heartbreak that would accompany it. Those cats had a choice to conflict that same hurt onto Percy and they’d chose the ladder. It was unfair. Smoke vowed he would never do such a thing. It was wrong. And if he did have to leave he was sure he would tell him. No matter how painful he may have felt. No cat deserves to feel abandoned.
The tabby’s gentle touch aroused him once more from his thoughts. The negativity that clouded his mind vanished once more at Percy’s naturally uplifting energy. A purr rumbled deep within the gray tom as he looked up at his smile. That reassuring smile. Smoke returned the gesture, leaning over to butt his head against his side. “Ah yes, my personal apprentice. My mother told me they would come one day.” He chortled, returning a toothy smile to mimic Percy's infectious one.
Smoke was well aware Percy had no intention on mastering herb knowledge and healing, but it was nice to at least have an assistant. Or at least something like one.

of my cats i think it would be most important for smoke(obviously), ember, and quinn to be recruited. maybe fran just so she can downright dismiss it lol. also i am tempted to make a cat that will join with a silly name. there was a post on reddit about how come kittypets don't have multiple names when they are asked(ie. the void, goodest boi, silly things we call our pets XD) and that has inspired me to make one.

Spark Location: Farm With: Bo ( Myst) "No worries, we work better as a team. Besides, wasn't going to make you deal with it yourself.", Spark said. While Bo was the one there for protecting the animals, Spark and Confetti weren't about to sit around and let harm come to the animals, or Bo. He glanced around, suddenly wondering where Confetti was. She hadn't come running, so she must be busy somewhere else on the farm. She could handle herself, but he didn't want those foxes to try again and outnumber Confetti. He shook himself slightly, hearing the sheep suddenly pick up with their baaing, before there was a whistle. He perked up, looking in the direction of the sheep pen. "Sheep moving time.", he told Bo, before he started to trot off towards the sheep pen. Heather Location: Farm With: Bo and Spark "That sounds like a plan. I'll hang out around here, make sure they don't try again.", she said, glancing back at where the foxes had gone. Heather looked over at the whistle, purring softly as Spark headed off. "You should probably get going. I'm sure the sheep would appreciate having you there while Spark's working them.", she said, before starting to wash her paw. Flame Location: Pine Forest With: Wila ( Feathertalon) Flame was glad that Wila seemed to bounce back once he assured her that she shouldn't expect to be perfect on her first hunt. He led her through the pines, purring softly at his comment. "Well it's my first time hunting too, so I'd say count on it.", he chuckled, flicking his tail against his side. They continued walking into the pines, the snow getting sparser and the air a bit warmer as they walked further in. Flame crouched down when he saw movement up ahead, another mouse having appeared by the base of a tree. He dropped down into a hunter's crouch, slowly creeping forward towards the mouse. As he did, he was mentally debating catching it. He had a feeling he could, it seemed none the wiser to his presence, but part of him didn't want Wila to feel bad that she had missed her mouse, and he'd gotten his. He decided quickly, and leaped... and barely missed the mouse, making it seem like his paw had slipped as he'd leapt, the mouse scampering away. Really, he just didn't want to seem like he was one-upping Wila, and hoped it didn't seem obvious that he'd messed up on purpose. He shook himself off, growling slightly in frustration as he watched the mouse disappear into a burrow.

For sure! I’d love to see that play out too, especially because I know that Wila’s gonna be torn between going with Flame while also knowing that she’s been a house cat her whole life and doesn’t know much about the wild
Okay but please we need a cat with some weird nickname as their name

Spackle w/ Quinn( whispering ) Spackle just sighed, leaped down, and trotted after the molly. Keeping his ears perked as he followed her, his thoughts a bit scrambled as he tried to organize a relatively paced story. His past, hah. Who'd think Spackle of all cats would say this willy nilly, well. Not that he is, but.. maybe, like Lada's meowed to him many o' times. With change, comes new predicaments, and as they all know of Spackle. A curiosity, is something he cannot resist, if he sees no obvious harm of course. He's curious ,not birdbrained. His blue eyes quickly identify their surroundings, the kitchen of a twoleg place. Where they eat, and most of the time he did as well, when he'd been in a twoleg place anywho.
Easily catching sight of the...very odd watering- bowl? Chattering in quiet amusement at the molly's wording. It's like a tiny waterfall, and he's only seen a waterfall- well, on those things his, and most likely all, twoleg's look at for hours on end. Fascinating, but not real. He's always wanted to see a waterfall, he's sure it would be awe striking. With his attention more so on the molly than anything else as they trot up to the.. mini waterfall-bowl. His ears perked as he listened to the molly's cut off sentence-
Nails, making obvious noise as they walk. A large figure, and lolled tongue.
Spackle barely refrains from rearing back and his fur bristling and claws unsheathing, and merely stared at them for a moment as the two in front of him talked. A dog, of all the houses this kittypet- this molly had to be in, they just had to have a dog. Keeping his ears straight, and tail still, he promptly ignores the dog sniffling. He's noticed anything dogs do, is much more obvious than cats. Keeping composure, the gray and white tom dips his head at his introduction. Friends? Spackle nearly chuckles. He's sure this molly doesn't consider them friends in any right. Though you'd think so with how straightforward she is about his 'past' "It's a pleasure to meet you, Harley." Spackle says easily, gazing up to the dog with blue eyes. Tilting his head as he inspected them. They seem harmless enough, but it's always, always, good to be careful with dogs. Paws shifting slightly, ignoring the odd ghost pain on his flank in remembrance of 'The incident', as Zee so adores dubbing when ever it's mentioned. That young ball bones wasn't even there when it happened, hadn't even been alive yet. His ears swivel a tad, eyes looking between the two once before staying on the dog- Harely. Not a bad name.

CottonLocation: Moor (Cotton’s Den) With: Creamsicle ( Feathertalon ) Hm... Creamsicle's mother ate rabbits as a kit? Though it didn't change her wariness of the cat's character, the fact that she was a cat who hunted rabbits improved Cotton's opinion of her considerably. At least that incompetent she-cat had some talent- perhaps some promising background. The mention of twolegs must mean they had come from the twolegplace. Cotton didn't know much about the ways of kittypets, nor had she ever tried to. They rarely came this far. Whenever they did, she would make it a point to scare them off as she would any cat. From what little she had seen, they were talkers. Soft and usually easy to scare. She would consider kittypets less of a nuisance than cats that would put up more of a fight, if it wasn't for their inconvenient ignorance to the way things worked out here. Cotton's yellow gaze drifted down to Creamsicle. When she first met the kit, she had thought she could catch a whiff of that same twoleg smell that all kittypets carried. But the longer she spent with the kit, the more she realized the scent was weak and faded, as if by time or by thorough cleaning. Creamsicle's description of her mother sounded much more capable than the average kittypet. She still didn't know what to think of this cat, but perhaps there was more to the story than she had originally thought. "If your mother comes and asks me herself, then I might consider it," Cotton said at last. It was the safest and most honest reply. That way she could test the cat's determination and not commit to anything in the case that she was untrustworthy. Her tail tip flicked again. The topic was making her feel edgy. Cotton peered at Creamsicle, looking her over once more, as she had several times since they had met. Many plans flitted through her mind~ plans to put some more meat on her bones, plans to teach her and train her on moor life, plans to protect her and keep her warm and safe throughout the winter. As she pondered on these, she could feel herself sinking deeper into her nest. She was growing weary. All the travelling, the encounter, the cold, the uneasy sleep outside, the hunt~ it all seemed to be catching up with her now. She shifted in the nest, gathering the energy for one more story. She thought through the day's events and decided to share a story about hunting. Creamsicle seemed to be warming up to the idea with the hawks and all, but perhaps another story would still help things along. "You know... One of my kits was once scared to hunt."(Aw, Cotton would love that. :3) (Haha. Yep. It's amazing how much little pieces of information can change the point of view.) (Aw. And poor Solomon. For someone who holds a grudge against his momma, his personality actually has become a bit like her. :3 I find that cool.)

I’m thinking Wisteria and Gardenia get recruited, then maybe they somehow run into Alyssum and Aster, who join to be with their littermates? Something of that nature.
Which I might free Alyssum and Aster up, Harpy hasn’t been on in a bit, either that or I completely missed their reply 😅

Sprite w/ Heather at The Barn. runningsky123 ) Sprite enjoyed the barn, as scary as it was.. It was better than being stuck outside in the cold. With a bit too much effort needed, the small cat stretched her limbs before hopping down from where she had been laying. Trotting through the barn easily, and swiftly before slipping outside. She enjoys the barn, but the fresh air outside makes her feel better. Careful of her step, she glances at the sky with wide, brown eyes before setting her gaze forward. Maybe she should explore around more.. that'd be good, right?
Seems like all of the farm animals are doing good today, none of them really straying too much from their crowds. As nice as they are, she's mildly curious about just exploring the area. It'd be good for Sprite to do, anyway. She's.. not in the best of health right now, the snow falls and all. She gets sick easily, but she got over it fast enough! Thankfully. So the young molly continues her walk, she always liked those fluffy, round, white creatures. Sheep? When her paw's suddenly get cold, her nose dripping, she heaves a sigh. Maybe going out when she's only just gotten better is a bad idea.
With drooped ears, the cream colored cat turns back around, heading back for the barn.

Heather Location: Barn With: Sprite ( soot) Heather watched Bo and Spark trot off to deal with the sheep, before she started inspecting the outside of the chicken coop, making sure the foxes hadn’t managed to damage the wire, but it seemed intact. She turned sharply at the sound of pawsteps crunching in the snow, her hackles raised slightly, thinking it was one of the foxes… But relaxed at the sight of Sprite, her hackles smoothing back down. “Sprite, you scared me.”, she said, flicking her tail at the younger she-cat. “You’re lucky you came back now and not a bit earlier, Bo and Spark just chased off two foxes trying to get into the chicken coop.”, she said, her tail waving a bit agitatedly, still annoyed that the foxes had come so close, turning and looking at where they’d run off, before back at Sprite. “Did you go hunting, or just for a walk? I’ve got a mouse I caught in the field earlier inside if you’re hungry.”, Heather offered.

APPLE
Location; woods with Solomon @talonfeather
Apple, at the mention of the jawed creature being dangerous, and its possible limb removing abilities, scurried away from it clumsily, falling backwards into a patch on bare dirt and twigs.
"Yeesh! Why didn't you lead with that?" he says, shuddering but laughing good-naturedly as he pulls himself up.
Apple, though still acting friendly and chatting pleasantly, was becoming more and more nervous by the minute. The way the toms eyes pierced through him made his stomach curl and his smile waver, tighten, but never fall.
He was sure the other tom didn't like him, and he didn't deal well with not being liked.
Ever since he was a kit, he'd felt this overwhelming urge to be loved by everyone, even the grumpy tom who sat on the picket fence by the shed who only liked him when he'd push his milk tray from the porch to his resting spot every morning, even the small two-legs that pulled at his whiskers and stepped on his tail, even his least favorite cousin who ate from his food bowl. Everyone was a potential friend, with some work here and there, but if it did so happen that a cat just plain old hated him, he almost always knew why. Usually it was because of his tendency to accidentally fall on or trample others, due to his size and clumsiness, but what could this tomcat, who he'd never met before and never stepped on before, dislike about him?
Sure he'd get a few annoyed looks back home when he talked to much or took play wrestling a bit too far, but he'd never been looked at with such... distain. In fact, if he were back home and a cat looked at him that way he probably would have ran and hid under the cold box to wallow, but seeing as there were no cold boxes around and this was, to his knowledge, the only other cat around here for him to talk to, Apple swallows the growing nerves in his gut and takes a few steps towards the tom cat.
"I just realized I never introduced myself," he says, glancing back at the jawed creature for a moment, to make sure it wasn't following him. "My name is Apple, It's a pleasure to meet you!," he says, shaking some snow from his paws and smiling. 'I didn't think I'd see any other cats out here, are you lost?"

SpriteLocation // The barn With Heather ( runningsky123 )Sprite startled. Sprite paused, ears perking back up at a familiar voice. "Ah- sorry, heh." She apologized, blinking kindly to the fellow cat. Which swiftly turns to worry. "Foxes? Really- are you all okay?" Sprite asks, head tilted with a tad bit of worry. "Oh- uhm, yes please. I still.. feel rather, uh, not great. I'd appreciate the prey." She says, ears drooping in relief. She'd forgotten to eat, maybe that's why she doesn't feel all that great? Besides the cold anyway. Shaking her paws of a bit of snow as her fur fluffs up at the cold breeze, not that her shorter fur would do much against it. Tail flicking slowly, her gaze flicking towards the area the chicken's reside. She really does hope those two are alright. As big as dogs may be compared to.. well, cats. Foxes are quite dangerous.

Heather Location: Barn With: Sprite ( soot) “Oh, yes, they’re alright. The farmer came and looked them over, they’re off driving the sheep right now.”, Heather said, standing up and stretching slightly. “Come on, I put the mouse inside near my nest. I already had one this morning.”, she said, leading the way around to the front of the barn. The big barn door was cracked open as it usually was, allowing the cats to come and go as they pleased. She led the way inside, walking past the horses, one of whole raised their head from eating their breakfast, but went back to their hay when they say it was just the cats. Heather led the way to the hay bales in the back, leaping up a few to a spot in the middle, a small scoop in the hay serving as her nest, a mouse laying next to it. She grabbed it, and turned and jumped back down to where Sprite was. “Here ya go.”, she said.

Paw's shuffling as she waited for the she cat to grab the mouse, the scent settling her nervousness. "Thanks lots, Heather. I appreciate it." She meows genuinely , tail flicking as she reached for the mouse. Setting it back down at her paws for just a moment, head tilted. "Do ya think we'll se those two again soon? I'd wanted to say hi.. Heather Location: Barn With: Sprite ( soot) “Bo, probably not until the sheep get brought back in tonight, if they are. He’ll probably stay with them since the foxes were here. Spark might be back soon, he just had to drive the sheep out to the field.”, Heather said. Of the cats, she was one of the most knowledgeable about the dogs’ schedules, as she spent the most time with them. “I’m sure they’d like that.”, she said. The two were always sociable with the cats that wanted to be, and left alone any that didn’t want to have anything to do with them. She glanced across the barn at where the chickens were pecking around on the floor. They were staying close to their nesting house, obviously shaken up by the foxes, the two roosters patrolling around the flock.
