runningsky123 ooooo say less!! I also lost one of my long-term rp partners a few months ago - I'd found this plot that I'd been putting together like YEARS ago and reworked some of the setting/world lore and reworked what I had done for vampires and werewolves but I don't remember if I'd ever like. gotten an actual plot worked out for it? I have it all saved up on Discord I've been back on my fated mates thing for no reason lately, but I have a few plots worked out from previous things that just sort of fell off honestlyyyy I'm big down if you're down cause I would love to get something supernatural goinggggg

I just finished my first full (good) fic in years that was a Denny fic and I’m giving myself a few months to rest and have a backlog of chapters for the sequel but like, I want to do things still lol.

CottonLocation: By the Stream With: Creamsicle ( Feathertalon ) Cotton felt Creamsicle tremble beside her, and was fairly certain it wasn’t from the cold. Her earlier boldness and excitability had died back down to quiet murmurs similar to the way she sounded when they had first met. When those watery blue eyes met her own, Cotton knew. It wasn’t mere fear at the frightening sound; it had something to do about her past- the family she had lost. Just what horrors had this kit been forced to endure? And so young... When Creamsicle nuzzled closer, Cotton welcomed it, her tail slipping from her shoulders and curling around the kit’s paws instead. She opened her jaws to say something, but changed her mind and closed them. She tilted her face to the sky, as if she’d find the words to say somewhere in its vastness. Then she tried again. “You can’t say you don’t like something until you try it. That was something my mother once told me,” Cotton started, blinking slowly. Before the kit could come up with any arguments, Cotton continued. “In time, when you are strong and able, I will show you some tips. I will teach you the basics you need to know in order to hunt.” She looked back down at the kit. “Then. And only then, you can tell me whether or not you like it.” Cotton leaned close enough that her warm breath would tickle Creamsicle’s ears. “But for now, all I require of you is to grow strong and healthy,” she murmured, her voice almost gentle. She refrained herself from nuzzling the kit’s head while she was eating. She was still a bit perturbed at herself for allowing herself to feel so affectionate for a kit she had just met. But her motherly instincts wouldn’t back down on this one. In some part of her mind, Creamsicle was already one of her own. As Creamsicle ate, the warm scent of freshly killed rabbit wafted to her, causing her mouth to water. Though both were thin from leaf-bare, rabbit would be far more juicy than squirrel. This meal would do them well through the coming snowfall. She leaned over and lapped the bloodied socket on the main body, hoping it wouldn’t lose too much blood on their way back. The warmth was pleasing to the taste, and helped bring energy back into her body. It was hard to resist taking a bite, especially since the squirrel earlier had only gone so far to take the edge off her hunger. --- FrazzleLocation: Twolegplace With: Arch ( Icyturtles ) Frazzle paused with his tongue half extended and met Arch's gaze. His tongue slipped back into his mouth and he took a step back as she told him she'd do it herself. He didn't take offence. He merely licked his lips as he remembered the chicken he left behind. But the chicken didn't remain forefront on his mind when he saw her struggle. His head tilted to the side and his paws shifted. His paws itched to do something. Anything! Think Frazzle, Think! Whenever he had a scratch or cut from his adventures, or from a run in with some angry cat, he would pay a visit to a grey tabby called Smoke. But Smoke lived in the forest and that was pretty far off from here. What did Smoke usually do? He usually used something soft... or sticky... Frazzle's eyes narrowed into a look of intense concentration, it almost looked painful. What was it..? He tried to remember Smoke's voice, the things the older tom would ramble as he treated his wounds. He sat down and began to scratch at the back of his head, his ears flattening. Suddenly he froze, his hind paw hovering by his head. "I got it!" Frazzle lowered his paw and perked his ears in a single smooth movement. "Hey, wait here a moment, would you?" Frazzle jumped to his feet and scrambled a short ways a way before sliding to a short stop to look back. "Watch my chicken while I'm gone! I'll be a while, but I promise I'll be back!" He turned tail and set on his way again, paws thudding against the ground as he hurried off. "Feel free to take a bite while you're waiting!" his fading voice called as he vanished around a corner.

Binx -- Moors Edge | Near Alice - Feathertalon She despised the moorland – nothing about it ever felt right to her. There was nowhere for her to hide, her bark pelt stood out against the grasses and heather no matter the season, and the prey it offered just wasn’t her favorite. Hares had little to offer in her opinion, and that was on top of the effort it took to chase them down. Favorites didn’t matter at a time like this thought – she’d starved if she didn’t find something before the storm came in. So she’d left her comfort of the abandoned twoleg nest in the pines in search of, well, anything she could sink her claws into.
Binx had taken up residence in the cabin against her will. As a kit she’d been picked up by a couple of twolegs who had brought her here in the cover of night. It’d been horrible after that – they’d tried to do all manner of things to her. She couldn’t remember all of what happened, and she was fine with that. All she could recall was hiding in the smallest place she could find, and the humans leaving when they got bored of trying to look for her. Rather than trying to find her way out, the molly simply stayed. It was guaranteed shelter, and she’d never seen another twoleg after the incident. Prey in the pine woods was usually sufficient even in the cold, and she hadn’t seen too many felines in the region, so it wasn’t like she was competing for food.
It was only her second winter, but the woods weren’t keeping her fed like they did the previous season, so leaving had become necessary. She’d only gone through as much of the forest as absolutely necessary to get across stream by use of the fallen tree. Too many cats made their homes there, and she wouldn’t stand a chance against any of them with how small she was should they catch her trying to hunt. So she’d planned on trying the grassland against her better judgement. Of course, catching a glimpse of an unusually large cat who stood nearly as tall as the grasses themselves told her she needed to leave. There was no way she would stick around to find out if that thing was hostile or not. So she’d hoped off the rock she’d been on and went about her merry way, irritation brewing in her chest. By now she’d spent most of the day travelling, landing herself in near the rocky outcropping that would eventually give way to the mountains that had only loomed in the distance for most of her life. In truth, Binx new very little about this area, but in her mind it was better than being attacked for just trying to survive.
Of course, it seemed this land didn’t have much to offer either. ‘Just my luck. I’ve been out all day, and for what?’ The thought came with a hunger cramp that twisted her stomach with a vengeance. Heaving a sigh, she finally paused to survey her surroundings. Plants were sparse and the wind was sharp, carrying with it the scent of a hawk and another cat. Well… “Where there’s hunters, there’s prey,” she muttered to herself, starting out in that direction. If anything else, being forcefully removed would at least give her a better reason to head home than simply giving up. Or, it was a better reason her mind.

Fran Forest Treeline // with Milo Myst
Fran strained her eyes as they adjusted to the dimly lit forest. Her nose twitching at all the new earthy scents that wafted gently through the cold wind. Her fur fluffed out, but not from the cold, from her own fear. The voices she had heard long ago ringing through her ears. Don't come back! A promise she’d kept for many years in fear for her life. Yet here she was again. But these woods, these were not the same treacherous woods she had crossed years ago as a young molly. There were not any big and scary wildcats in sight. No cats were around here, actually. There was the faintest scent that indicated a cat had crossed here earlier in the day. But they were long gone now. Fran couldn't help feeling a bit disappointed as she stared out at this foreign place. Had she really avoided such a quiet place over an incident that had happened in her youth? No. Her reasonings for avoiding the woods were more than enough. It had traumatized her terribly. And now she was overcoming that fear.
We made it! Milo exclaimed beside her. Though she could hint the nervousness in his meow. He was just as anxious as she felt. It brought some relief to know that she wasn't alone. And the eerie stillness of winter did no better. What did they do now? This was not the same forest she’d come across years ago as a young cat. There was no luscious greenery. The forest was not alive with the chatter of the animals that took refuge here. And it didn’t seem appropriate to prance around, pouncing on leaves and chasing prey like she’d previously done. She was older. And she didn’t feel that desire. No longer felt the pull of the forest. It would be unlady like to behave that way in front of Milo anyway.
A gentle breeze snapped her from her thoughts, reminding her of the oncoming snow storm. Her ears pricked at Milo’s promise, giving him a small nod. Looking over at him smiling she replied, “Promise.” But what did they do now? Explore further? Fran had achieved her goal of stepping over the treeline. But she was unsure what to do now.
“So… what now?” She asked her companion, glancing over at him with uncertain blue eyes. Anxiety beginning to creep its way back over her, making her skin prickle. Her paws kneading the ground frantically. “Do we go further?”
Ember couldn’t help the feeling of satisfaction that swept over him seeing the older cat’s reaction. Successfully hitting a nerve in her. His plumed tail swaying triumphantly. Feeling even more prideful when her fur flattened and she seemingly surrendered. Hmph! Not so tough now. This old molly thought she could challenge him and he would back down. Nonsense! Maybe things were making a turn for the best after all.
Until she began to lecture him about him potentially freezing to death. "Yea, that was sort of the plan." He grumbled darkly, looking away from her, his ears flattened to his head. He was well aware of how dangerous it was to go to sleep without trying to warm up first. But Ember was certain he wouldn't have minded not waking up. Life hadn't been very rewarding from him lately. It wasn't like anyone would care. And if his mother's voice hadn't woken him up he was sure he would finally have been freed. Ember shook out his still damp fur, shaking away his dark thoughts. He was here now. And he still had some fight left in him. It was his name for the spirits sake!
The ginger molly's talk of being hungry instantly reminded Ember of his own hunger. The icy claws returning to lodge themselves deep in his belly. He didn't want this cat's help. But he knew he needed her. Perhaps that's why his mother had woken him. Perhaps she knew this cat was coming to save him. He'd already been abandoned twice now. And winter's claws were just as treacherous. He didn't have it in him to withstand another betrayal. But his own experiences caused him to be more wary this time.
"Why should I trust you?" He challenged, raising his head high and steadily meeting her gaze. "What do you get out of it? There has to be a catch!" He remembered how the old tom had told Ember he would teach him to hunt, and only used him to catch his own meals until he was bored of him. "Cats don't just help out of the kindness of their heart." He added more quietly, averting his gaze.

Hey guys , thank you all for your condolences! It really means a lot to me. These past few days have been tough but I am getting through it. I'll be around today after I clean and run a few errands since i've taken off the rest of the week. That map looks so cool O: Myst Maybe I'll have Lillith be a farm cat instead of a twoleg place stray. I like the idea of her being Leo's romantic interest since she would be naive to his actions whispering if your down.

Crystal with Kuta Myst Crystal thought for a moment. Join him? To the place she said had remained untouched by life for who knows how long. The gray she-cat stared up at the gray sky for a moment, then down to the carcasses that lay at her feet. It was mouse-brained if you asked her. What if they traveled there and it was just an empty cave with no connection to his dreams whatsoever? What if they were just that, dreams. But what if there were answers? The thought sent a shiver up her spine that Crystal would blame on the drop in temperature. "I'll come." She finally said with a determined nod. There was no way she could let him go alone anyway. Kuta was big but she doubted his ability to handle the hostile cats that lived in the area. He had been lucky it was she he'd run into out of all the cats. Any other cat's heart was sure to be chilled by leafbare's coldness. Crystal was usually this way, maybe she would have been if she hadn't realized Kuta's kittypet origins. And he had helped her. The least she could do was return the favor for her new friend. Was he a friend? She wasn't quite sure yet, but he was on the path to becoming one. "As soon as the snow melts, we'll set off. I'll try my best to ask other cats for any of the information they may have, and we can meet up at the treeline." She went on before picking up her catches and moving forward. They needed to at least cross the stream before it got too cold. Before the first flurries would begin to fall.
( runningsky123 did you want to continue with Night and the girls? and great! whispering I can't wait to see how it turns out for the two)

𝑏𝑙𝑒𝑢 maybe hold off for a bit? Since I’m sure they wouldn’t have too much interaction until the storm is over and I don’t want them to get too far ahead of the timeline. But after that definitely! Also, I’ll be making a barn cat later today too! No idea what they’re gonna be (I rarely do until I start typing up a sheet), but I’m hopping in the barn cat train lol

Milo -- Forest Treeline | with Fran - whispering Everything was new here, especially the scents. The only thing immediately familiar to him was something that indicated that some other cat had been in the area earlier – the rest was foreign. All manner of withering plants and animals must have lived here. How did the strays manage to know what was what? ‘Perhaps it comes with time.’ He thought. Many things did, after all. Surely if one were to spend enough time in the forest it would become easy to pick each scent apart, to know which plant was where and what they looked like. Were these things he wanted to know? Maybe – he was still trying to work through the fact that he was really out here.
As Fran voiced the same question he was pondering, he gave a little hum of thought, scanning the trees ahead of them for anything that may provide an answer. After a moment, green eyes turned to her instead and he could almost feel her anxiety. Right then, perhaps staying on the move was better. “We go a little further – only a couple trees or so – then head home. As long as we can still see the fences we’ll be okay.” Even as Milo said it, he turned a bit to look over his shoulder. Yes, the fences were clearly visible from the treeline – as long as they could see them, they’d get home without issue. Nodding to himself in confirmation, he looked forward once more before setting into a light walk. Just a few more trees, then they could turn and leave. The molly would have conquered her fears, and he would get to say he ventured the shadows – everything would be fine.
Honey -- The Forest | With Shadow - runningsky123 Weasels had never been a particularly easy hunt for her, but she supposed it could’ve been because she was alone. Not that she was two keen on changing that any time soon, but who knew, maybe it would help. With one in sight, it seemed she would find out. Grey eyes remained on the rodent as the tom made his way around before taking the leap, she herself hunkering down into the snow that lingered on the ground. Oh, how it tried to get away. It didn’t get far – only a second after it had taken off did she reach out, claws sinking into tender flesh as she pulled it in, delivering a bite to the neck that awarded her the satisfying crack of a meal well caught.
She held it for an extra second just to be sure before releasing the prey, quickly tucking it under a bit of snow and foliage to be collected later. “That was way easier than usual. Bet there’s a couple more around.” Catching one or two more would surely hold them over – she never ate too much anyway.

Kuta -- The Forest near the Stream | With Crystal - 𝑏𝑙𝑒𝑢 The tom lit up when she agreed to accompany him on his journey, showing her a wide toothy grin in return. Surely the cold would be much more tolerable with her around. After all, it seemed they worked together well enough when it came to hunting, and he was sure she knew the lands far better than himself. That is to say, he didn’t really know them at all, but still. As Crystal continued on to say just about when they’d leave, he offered a nod of understanding. “I can try and ask around too – it’s more fun out here than at home anyway. If your mom had stories about these cats than I’m sure others know something, too.” He sounded very sure of himself for somebody who’d come out here on nothing but a whim.
Only a moment later they were starting off again, and Kuta fell into step with her once more. They were making good time, but he couldn’t help but glance up at the sky every now and then. It was getting darker, threatening to start snowing at any moment. ‘Stupid weather with it’s snow.’ Kuta hissed in his mind. Before long they were crossing the stream into what little shelter the naked branches offered from above them. He glanced around, pausing to scent the air. Right… “I think I’m lost…” he mumbled to himself. Nothing appeared familiar and by now even his own scent trail was a bit stale. Not that he hadn’t wandered around the forest earlier, anyway.
Despite the impending snow fall and his heavy dislike for it, any possible worry was dismissed immediately. “I’ll make it home eventually – let’s get you back first, yeah?” Getting his friend home first was far more pressing to him than his own lack of awareness. After all, he always made it back one way or another, so what would make this any different?
(I love that Crystal has unwittingly become friends with him - she's literally never gonna get rid of Kuta, she's won herself a big dummy)

(Ooh! Loving the new characters! Leo is so floof! Makes just want to reach in and hug him. ^^ I’m interested to see how things unfold between him and Lilith. When I saw Lilith was a calico, I was tempted to somehow sneak a familial connection to Wonder. Dunno how to do that. It might be a tad tight between Wonder and Alice for siblings. :3 Maybe there’s no blood connection other than them both being part of the barn family.) ( Dark - I’d be willing to have Cotton as the grandmother if you’d like. :3 She probably has no idea he exists though. Cotton is a grumpy old she-cat with a bit of a soft-spot for kits.) (Yaaas! I’d totally be up for a farm dog! I had been thinking that the dog would kind of consider it all his domain, and as long as the cats follow the rules and respect him, he would leave them be..? Maybe..? Unless you guys have other plans. I’m up for anything really. :3 I was thinking Wonder would be on relatively good terms with the dog, since she had been close to the humans in the first few months of her life and will have a tendency to go by the house- where a farm dog will often have their home base. )

Yoo, I'm tempted to jump in this barn cat fam. I also love the idea of a guardian dog, if they have a sorta loyalty to the barn cats. That could mean bad news for the Clan-cats if fights were to break out.
I should have replies up soon!)

(If the farm dogs were livestock guardians would that mean that there are bigger predators within the area other than foxes? coyotes maybe? Light I am also excited for Lillith and Leo! And I did consider her being related to wonder 😅 but it’s fine if they are just friends, I think they would get along great. Maybe Wonder is one of the cats who tries to warn Lillith that Leo isn’t good for her once their relationship gets to its peak)

(Darkwillow - Cotton lives on the moor. She has one kit in her care so far. She wouldn’t take in another unless she absolutely had to. And sticking around her can be... difficult to deal with at times? Since she doesn’t treat other cats very well, they probably wouldn’t have anything good to say about her. She literally forced her kits to leave once she was confident they were old enough and capable enough to look after themselves. Even so, I’m not sure what exactly will happen when the clans come together. Little details like this may be revealed over time- like Cotton realizing she has grandkits. And who knows how character development might play out. I think it would be a fun little twist to have in our back pockets for whenever it plays out. ^^)

(Haha. Wonder would have to see something super convincing to do that. And even if she thought that, she would likely be hesitant to say anything. Otherwise, she’d probably be just as fooled as Lilith. Either way, she would support her any way she could, in her awkward sort of way.)

Peanut- At the barn- Open
With a soft sniffle, the tiny tom woke with a start, only to realize that he had just awoken from a nap. He wiped a paw over his muzzle and let out a sneeze that made his pelt burn with embarrassment. Why did it have to be so loud? With a yawn and a stretch, Peanut hoisted himself onto his paws and shook out the fur that had matted down on his favorable sleeping side. He paused for a moment and wondered what today's adventure would be.
