Just as amazing to look at as the last time you posted an update to your collection (in 2021)!

I am beyond impressed!

My mini goal is to have all the English and German editions, so not nearly impressive, though I have a good start.

I have the German version of the Dutch 'how to draw cats' book!

Yeah! They were very well stocked when I went to their equivalent of Barnes and Noble. So I am quite pleased by that option.

Finance is always a concern, of course.

Great StarClan that's a lot I'd love to see more of the magazines, is there a way to get them in the US?

Which language/country tends to have your favorite covers/merch?

China has my favorite merch hands down.  

Favorite covers are a little more tricky?  The Polish cover of Yellowfang's Secret is one of my all time favorites.  I also tend to like the simpler covers, so Vietnamese, Korean middle, and the German rings books are all up there.

Wow! I didn't realize how much your collection had grown since the last time I saw it.

I'm just gonna comment on ones I see as I scroll down:

1. The dutch anniversary edition has like THE coolest cover art ever. I'm honestly obsessed with Tigerstar and Blackstar having human arms for some reason?? XD And it certainly looks like there is no hardship in seeing Spottedleaf again, that jawline??? Icon.

2. The japanese art... Those cats are all too cute to fight each other. That's it series over it's cancelled guys I'm taking them all home.

3. The persian art... Incredibly soft and fluffy, I wish I could see what the rest of the covers look like. Or know who the artist is so I could see more of it.

4. I love the polish covers with kitten rusty and grey/silver so much. 😭 Honestly all of the full art polish covers look so good and capture the cats look perfectly to how I see them in my head, I can tell exactly who is who and what they are doing. They really nailed it.

5. The russian covers really turn up the fantasy aspect to 11 with their borders and the banner type ribbon for the words. I know don't judge a book by it's cover but I'd grab those immediately if I saw them. The ones with locks make it have a feel like you're just going to open the book into some secret little adventure. I love that. We need to do that. American covers are straight up boring in comparison.

6. The chinese art is just as equal to the polish covers in my eyes. In fact I had some of the chinese warriors art as my desktop background for a long time before I switched it to some personal art. I can't exactly tell which cover it was since i can't read mandarin but I think it was the full art for that third image, bottom row, right book.
I also still have that chinese field guide you gave me. :3

7. I love that the tiwan covers mimic the regular ones but they like redrew it? I sat here wondering why they looked odd for a good minute before I realized. The alternate art for the mangas is also great.

8. UKRAINE GAVE GREYSTRIPE AN EMO HAIR POOF. I'M OBSESSED.

9. This reply is already long enough as it is but I love pretty much all the merch... except for the human Bluestar and Firestar(???) And whoever else? Cause like..... what? Why is she egyptian?? Why are their eyes so far apart?? WHAT IS GOING ON? Did they make like... more of these? Besides just those 4? Who drew them? Are they finally better at art now? 🥴 I need answers.

10. OKAY WAIT THE CHINESE MAGAZINES GAVE FIREHEART EMO HAIR TO KLJSFHEKJSDFJKSHB icon.

Let's see how many of these I have answers for:

1.  The first time I saw this book I laughed and said, "This is terrible!  I MUST have it!"  I think the illustrations inside are in black and white?

2.  I love the art style of the Japanese books!  The only things that stand out to me was how they literally spoil the end of A Dangerous Path on the cover, and Fading Echoes up close looks like a clueless Dovewing and a very pissed off Ivypool.

3.  The Persian books got re-released this past year with ripoff American covers, so sadly there will be no more like those.  I just did a brief search on the cover to see if I could find an artist, but didn't see one.  The ISBN for the first book is 9786008939481 if you feel like really searching for it sometime.

4.  Polish Yellowfang's Secret will always be one of my favorites.  I was on the fence at the time about starting to collect Polish books, but that cover shoved me right off the fence into collecting territory.  You're right that the characters tend to be easily identifiable by their looks and actions.

5.  I had been wanting the Russian books for a while (this was the very beginning of my collection days), then one day randomly on ebay someone sold like 42 of them in a set, which jumpstarted the language.  The Guide in the bottom right corner with the little coin like symbols... I would LOVE merch with those on it, maybe a shrinky dink charm bracelet or something.  

6.  Simplified Chinese was the very first foreign language book I got.  The thing with the books in China is they keep re-releasing them!  I have an entire bookcase for JUST that language.  The art is great, the merch is fantastic, and I really wish the US would take a lesson from them in the way they market this stuff (I say this because I just ordered 12 Chinese books that I already have because they come with a random bonus journal and I just HAVE to have all 4 covers (already had the ThunderClan journal, but they released similar journals for Shadow, Wind, and River and I just gotta catch 'em all!)  

7.  Taiwan is my second favorite merch country.  I stalked their merch for YEARS before their publisher finally opened the site up to International shipping.  The buttons (like the one I gave you) were also blind free gifts on the guides, so I think I bought the same book 8 times?  I ended up with all of the buttons and 3 unopened ones, which I sold 2 of and kept the last one unopened.  The WindClan button is very strongly tied to Keiko, and is the only item in my collection I would never sell (though I know where to find another one, so I could easily replace it to sell a full collection and still keep my button).

8.  Actually, the Polish gave Graystripe emo hair, and the Ukraine just copied it.

9.  I never really understood the human versions that the Chinese drew.  At least they're consistent with their art though.  There are the 2 bookmarks, 4 notebooks, and then the trading cards contain both the cat card and the matching human card to all of the cats.  I wouldn't mind if they released updated trading cards, even with the humans, just to see the newer characters like that.

10.  Those magazines are a trip!  The ones from 2020 were easy to follow along with - each magazine was half of a book from the first arc.  I think the new ones (2022 and 2023 are the same timeline) again follow along with the first arc, but it's not as easily broken up as before.  That reminds me, I need to go check in with my China warehouse, they were having trouble with the second half of my 2023 magazines and I need that straightened out, preferably before I leave work since this is normal business hours in China.

Ok, so they may not be the answers you were looking for, but that's what I've got for now.

oh my god I've never seen the British alternate version of The Darkest Hour anywhere else before! I had it as a kid but I was always so confused because it was so different from the other covers I'd seen. I never did in depth googling on it to find out but it's so cool to see it again. I thought it must have been a fluke that I got it wow

Your collection is amazing. My heart wants to collect the old covers English/USA covers that I had as well as the Polish covers because they are just stunning but my minimalist brain says no
