Christmas movie idea:
santa dies without an heir, and a random elf is chosen to become his successor. the elf that becomes santa goes mad with power and makes things worse and worse for the elves that work for him (in the name of christmas) until things are so bad that elves are doing literally anything to escape the elf in charge's wrath, eventually killing him in a bloody rebellion. After he dies there is a lot of fighting over who should become the new santa, as all the elves don't trust anyone to be in charge any more, causing christmas to fall apart and becoming the reason adults need to be the ones to put presents under the tree
