Auransky 𝚜𝚙𝚊𝚛𝚔𝚜𝚌𝚊𝚝𝚝𝚎𝚛"Alright then," said Lin, eyes slightly narrowed and hard. She wasn't done here, not by a long shot. Something was up, she could almost taste it, and she didn't think it had anything to do with the tax collector. But she backed a couple of feet up, turning, and dipping her head to Glen in return of his bow. It seemed like she would be going now, though she looked at Coire with a hint of interest. It seemed...odd. And something was bugging her, deeply, about Lupin and this blacksmith. Something about this task that had been mentioned. "Come on," she said, heading for the door. Lupin sighed and followed as he was directed. He blinked a couple of times at what Glen wanted him to do, but supposed that that he could do that. What was the purpose though? As he gathered up items that seemed to fit the need, he looked out of the corner of his eye at Glen and Patrick, seeing what they did as well. (Hum... what to do with Percival and Aliissa. And that took a whole lot of time to build up to, Shining. XD )

Arai cast one last glance back at them, but followed the Princess out of the house. The crowd that had gathered on the street had more or less cleared out and people were back doing there normal daily chores. The knight had put his spear back over his shoulder and looked less, well, he looked less pointy. He looked at Lin, wondering if she was done here.

"It's too neat," she said, eyes narrowing to look back the way they had come and then returning to the guard. "Everything. The fires, the tax collector, the blacksmith... there's something missing." She carefully avoided saying that she didn't know what was going on, even though that had been what she had meant.

"I think you may have a point. But the fire may be a different incident all together... thought the time lines are a bit different." he shook his head. He had a vague idea of what might be happening, but was missing too many pieces. Like what had started the fire and why it had been started. "Is there any more business you have here?"

𝚜𝚙𝚊𝚛𝚔𝚜𝚌𝚊𝚝𝚝𝚎𝚛broken mintedstar/fur((Lol, that did take a while, Mint. it was worth the school hassle to get there ;-; )) Glen had found an empty small crate and began to fill it with iron and steel utensils, extra things that Coire had perhaps made as extras, or perhaps things needed for a future order. Whatever the case, he wasn't going to ask his brother. For now they needed to get back to the house and quickly. He looked over at Lupin, "if you want to come with us back to the house, you are more then welcome to. If not that's fine." he suggested, "But for now we need to strap these to the horses to head back." He picked up the crate heading out to where the horses were out in the back. Coire had watched the two guests leave, carefully leaning against the beam to glimpse within the blinds. Today clearly was not the expected day. First the gems, the prince, glen claiming werewolves, the tax collector, and now the princess.... He let out a hefty sigh, We are going to die for sure...

(whoops i havent replied in a few days, sorry!) mintedstar/fur AuranskyPatrick blinked a few times, watching the knight for a moment before catching up. "Uh, is this all we needed? I thought we needed to also pick up some holy water and other stuff?" He asked softly, looking at Lupin, then back again. "I'm guessing we're no longer doing that?"

𝚜𝚙𝚊𝚛𝚔𝚜𝚌𝚊𝚝𝚝𝚎𝚛 broken Auransky (I thought I replied....) Lupin looked up and nodded at Glen. "Yeah, I'll come." He didn't see any other options and he was curious. He was too deep into it now. Secretly, though he was unaware of it, he was thinking the same thing as Coire. However, the mention of holy water did catch his attention, though he didn't visibly make that aware to the others. Well, that was inconvenient, though he couldn't say he understood why they would need it. As long as he wasn't expected to actually touch it, then he should be fine.

((Pushing this, before I get burried alive in my Midterms!)) mintedstar/fur 𝚜𝚙𝚊𝚛𝚔𝚜𝚌𝚊𝚝𝚝𝚎𝚛 It had been a long, stressful and probably something he wouldn't forget any day soon type of day. No not one bit-but for now it was time to close the chapter, go home and lay down for a little while. Oh wait...He crossed his arms at the thought shaking his head, recalling the trio back at the house. Just that thought made him realizwe the grim reality, of their situation. The air was chilly, and he readjusted his black scarf around his neck, then paced faster through the woods. Surely despite their situation, he would still be allowed to sit down and lay down-even if it were for five minutes. The clearings were not as bright as they were earlier by this hour; the sun was nearly gone and darkness was creeping through the reaches of the forest floor. Despite this, Coire knew the way by habit of travel for many years. What he wasn't expecting was only a few clearings away. Quickly and not even attempting to hide jumped out two bulky older gentlemen; coated in animal furs, bandages wrapped around their hands, sending off the depth of their experience. The man on the right had a very bushy beard, as the man on the left appeared to be well shaved along the face. On top of that holding weapons, and not even hiding their intentions as to do. Coire had stopped quickly, slowly backing away. "If it is gold you seek you can have it." Coire admitted off the bat. "I don't want any trouble." Add this to the list of stress...The bulky man on the right, ruffled his beard followed by a chuckle, "Hear that? He wants to bargen." "Too bad for him.." The man on the left shook his head; turning his head to the side to spit out aggressively. ((Btw, 𝚜𝚙𝚊𝚛𝚔𝚜𝚌𝚊𝚝𝚝𝚎𝚛 Are you looking for Professors in your role-play? o/ I'd be so down if you were. :3 )) broken mintedstar/fur (Here's a time skip-) Several hours had passed since the trio arrived back at the house. During this time: Glen had asked Lupin to simply place supplies in different clearings surrounding the house. From there he would redirect Lupin back towards the house, thanking him for the help. In the time being he told Lupin to just relax, hang out: or if he was curious to come Follow him outside to watch what they were working on. "Observe, and when we slow down, feel free to ask questions, and we will answer then in complete honesty." GLen stated (Assuming Lupin went outside with them. If not this discussion will pop up shortly after Patrick, and Glen clean up/outside and decide to slowly inform Lupin before the guests arrive to dinner)) Once relieved of Lupin, for a bit, he returned to Patrick with gloves, a quail, inc and paper. Handing the paper, inc, and Quail to Patrick: he asked his companion to take notes on the different reactions the crystals were giving off based on the different items. The first clearing had the crystals in the center of the clearing. Next to it was a glass of Holy Water. Carefully pouring a bit of the holy water on the crystal, the crystal began to boil and let off steam: indicating a melting affect. Perhaps raising the temperature on the crystal, but Glen wasn't going to touch it at that exact moment. Soon after the second crystal was in the next clearing. This time placed in a pan, wrapped around sticks, and stones like one would normally use for a campfire. Near a tree was a container holding Salt. He carefully approached the crystal, signaling Patrick if he was ready. When given the signal he poured Salt into the pan which contained the crystal. Instantly the crystal lit up in flames, burning the pan in the process. Luckily the firewood was set to help slow the burning process, with the rocks along the outside. Afterwords, he headed for the third clearing. Near the crystal was a sack of Garlic: signaling to patrick, Using a tongos to carry the Garlic, he approached the crystal with the Garlic, and just like that the Garlic disolved into liquid. Upon hitting the floor: steam arose indivating a temperature rise. At the same time, the Tongos began to melt along the tip because of how close it was to the steam. Using another one of Coire's utensils, he picked up one of the crystals that had returned to a stable level from a previous clearing then took it towards a Rose Bush in the far corner of the clearing. Tossing the crystal into the bush, nothing appeared to react at first. But after a closer look, the thorns of the roses had grown quickly, and sharply; indicating a disturbance based on the crystals reaction.

Auransky broken(I've been wondering what I should do with Percival and Aliissa for a little now. Anyone want to run into one or the other?) Lupin, though at first hesitant to follow and completely inclined to just wait around for his appointed companions to return, finally worked up enough nerve to go scuttling after them. He kept his head down, though his eyes seemed unwavering from the experiments being done. It was both dumbfounding and completely...nerve racking. One muscle in his jaw tensed up greatly at the use of the Holy Water and he just hung back throughout all the tests, just to make sure it wouldn't seem like he was only avoiding the one. How did they know what to do? And what where these things? Yet even as the questions bloomed in his head, he beat them down again. Those were the sorts of questions that could get you killed. Maybe not by Glen or Patrick, but everyone had enemies. And these...things...weren't normal. Nothing, from the people to the crystals, it was all likely to just get him in trouble. Yet, he was still here, caught between wanting to know and getting caught up in it all and not, and hoping he'd still be safe.

𝚜𝚙𝚊𝚛𝚔𝚜𝚌𝚊𝚝𝚝𝚎𝚛 AuranskyLin frowned, not seeming to hurried to make her decision. She tapped her chin, considering, working through a score of possibilities of what might happen. "This man gets into all sorts of trouble," she muttered before nodding at Arai. "Yes, I think it best we help him, if only because I doubt we should favor the thieves." Her voice seemed almost weary.

(((That "you are alive" though. LOL I had to sit here and just laugh at that statement from Spark. )) 𝚜𝚙𝚊𝚛𝚔𝚜𝚌𝚊𝚝𝚝𝚎𝚛 @auransky Coire stepped back, keeping cautious of the two individuals before him. He was not one for violence, he never was one for violence, he never wished to be for violence. On the other hand these two were just looking for trouble. The blacksmith's left hand slowly reached for his side, but then he realized that he didn't have his work belt on. Right-I don't bring that out here with me! With a small idea quickly diminished, he kept backing up carefully keeping his two gaze on the men. Perhaps he could outrun them, hide in the woods. Jump in the river perhaps? He had no arms to bear arms: he was defenseless on a sense of the two men. The two gentlemen held no urge to strike then and there. The simple factor of their pray, backing away was satisftfying enough. It was just a fulfilling moment of knowing who stood at the top of the chain. The two men nodded to each other, splitting up from the straight approach. Now walking around in hopes of encircling the blacksmith into their grips. The two indeed were simply in no rush. broken mintedstar/furAfter cleaning up, the messy tests: or at least traces of what was a messy test, the knight stretched his back. "Before you ask, we are not in any way encouraging this." He began slowly. "We do not endorse, nor relate to these particular gems as a benefit. Rather we encountered these things by accident." He admitted. "There are still many questions that we want to ask, but all we know so far is that these things dislike anything pure and right." He explained, careful to leave out the mention of the prince, the demon, werewolves and anything else that has happened via the last fifty three pages. "All I can ensure you is that these gems are bad news. I don't like them, and I'm certain that in the wrong hands we may have a bloody war."

At their movement Aria drew his weapon and walked into the clearing "Thieves? Here? As a knight I can't believe how lazy we have been." his gaze narrowed into a glare and his weapon glinted dangerously in the weak light. If they wanted to fight him, go right ahead. There was little chance they could win.

mintedstar/fur Auransky (Mint, I have a doctor open if you want one of them to run into him) Patrick stared at Glen, shaking his head. “I think you might be scaring him,” he added, noticing how Lupin had been standing back during the whole experimentation. “Either way, I think we’ve learned a lot about these gems,” he muttered, leaning across the table to look at the stones nodded a moment. “Yeah bad news is right.” He began helping the knight clean up some, then carefully returned some of the gems back to their original container.

𝚜𝚙𝚊𝚛𝚔𝚜𝚌𝚊𝚝𝚝𝚎𝚛 Auransky Lin watched, eyes slowly narrowing. But she kept back, letting others take care of things. She didn't want to get into any sort of fray unless she needed to. So, instead, she slowly stepped to the side. She could see better from the new position, but we better hidden in the shadows. broken Shining Lupin didn't protest Patrick's words. It was just easier that way. The gems weren't what made him wary, though it was odd that they shared some of the same affinity that he did. What origin could they be of? "I was not planning on asking questions," he explained with a sigh. People supplied answers anyway. "But as I was thinking in my head, it appears I am too deeply in for it to matter." He paused for a lengthy second, before he actually did ask a question. "While I do not believe you hold any affinity to them, I do wonder how you knew what tests to put them through."

mintedstar/fur broken"Well." Glen glimpsed away, "We started with other items too.." He admitted, "Good, bad, decent, normal, and even animals." He frowned, "But some of the information also came from an outside source. Rumors of sorts from a group brought in for questioning not too long ago." He shared, "It was supposed to stop at rumors but then we stumbled on what we stumbled, and suddenly rumors aren't rumors." mintedstar/fur 𝚜𝚙𝚊𝚛𝚔𝚜𝚌𝚊𝚝𝚝𝚎𝚛The gentlemen with the beared paused in Coire's pursuit to turn to face the newcomer. At the sight of the faint glistering weapon, he srunched his shoulders, indicating he would not back down. Quickly he took out two pocket knives, gripping them at hand. "Oi, you don't waltz into an uninvited party." He quickly rushed at Arai head on. The second thieve did not retract his pursue of the blacksmith from the side. "Two for one waltz, isn't it your lucky day." He threatened. "It makes this dance all the more fun." Coire stressed back, trying to keep himself at a calm compsure, he really disliked fighting, but at the same time he knew it was only last resort. Lets see if the knight from earlier, would help him avoid his worries; till then he would need to stall. But on the other end, why was the knight from earlier here? was he followed? No-that can't be it, can it? or maybe he was...

Arai twirled his spear and as the man lashed out at him slammed his spear into the mans unguarded side. It was a heavy hit with the dull side of the point. Killing the man right now would reflect poorly on the Princess. The man might have been able to take the hit so Arai spun and slammed the spear head down on the guys hand.
