broken "That's exactly the problem." Glen gaze outwards, "Because he is a goody too shoes, he might help someone unknowingly of their intentions. He's too open about helping people in need, and it's someday going to get him killed.." He trailed off swalling his words, "I'm probably overthinking this..." Now considering the salt and holy water he nodded at the thought. "Well tell ya what. I drop you off with my brother and you guys just wait there for a bit. Er-Tell him to grab new tools because of the ones I destroyed. In that time I will run for holy water, there is a church on the other end of town. Shouldn't be an issue, assuming things haven't heated up there yet." He slowed the horses as they entered a busy crossing district. Patrick just stared at Glen as he spoke. "Oh really? I thought he might have been able to know when to stop helping someone for his own good..." he trailed off a little, now looking away and around a bit. He didn't like hearing that and hoped that would never happen. "But yeah I agree, you are overthinking." He then grinned and nodded at the suggestion. "Yes, that sounds perfectly fine by me! I'll tell him what has happened and what you're getting. Also, I assume your brother is still at his shop?"

(Everyone is here counting winter break. I'm here counting down to the next three day weekend... )) ((W-well I don't start til late August so I still got time to chill.)) ((I think I may have really hurt myself this semester though :/ )) (( 2. basic entry courses 2. Third level courses 1. 4th year course... 5 classes) ((300 courses are busy, but one 400 coursE? Dunno what I was thinking when I made my schedule.. Oh wait-Yes I do..15 units >.<)) 𝚜𝚙𝚊𝚛𝚔𝚜𝚌𝚊𝚝𝚝𝚎𝚛((I think we're all inactive regardless )) ((Nonetheless, story can take a slow step forward I guess xD )) ((ALSO! LOOKING COOL JOKER!)) ((I been enjoying P3 and P4 tyvm)) ((Also- replied on the previous page xD)) mintedstar/furThe tax collector didn't expect anyone to step forward, and yet a rather light voice, in his opinion, stepped forward. He stood tall and firm letting the idea slide of it being 'skewed.' "Well.." He began strongly, "IF we allow such a thing to continue then he surely will continue. It is a matter of life and death in this case he should confess for the better of all our safeties." He nodded, dusting himself off now with such hefty confidence. He turned his head to see Lin, she was rather small but still a women... yet it wasn't crossing his mind to who she was. "Right... now we appreciate your feed back, but sometimes it is indeed best to leave these situations to the professionals. I am the specialist in this field, and this is perfectly normal for someone to react in such a manor. They resist in such a way until they eventually break. Just give it time." He crossed his arms, turning his gaze back towards the shop. The two knights remained silent, this was going a bit over the top. But as they were assigned to watch the tax payer, they really had no other choice but to stand on the sidelines until further notice. brokenGlen sighed, "I sometimes wonder if it was something from our childhood... but I can't read Coire's thoughts." He shook his head, slowing the horse. Up ahead was where the shop is supposed to be, but there was a gathering crowd. "Oh dear.." HE muttered in uncertainty. He turned his head towards Patrick, "We should place the horses around back... maybe go in around back too.." He signaled the horses to trot in a different direction. "We can ask Coire and Lupin what is going on from the isnide..." He spoke with uncertainty.

Whoops, missed your last reply.) I'm nearly done with the game, I'm on the final boss which is being a bit of a problem which it really shouldn't be considering how easy the bosses have been. I'm gonna get P4 Golden next :3)
Nathaniel listened as his son slowly made his way through the sentences. It wasn't bad exactly, maybe a little awkward in the wording. He hummed and nodded "Good. You still need a lot of work though." he wasn't about to get mad at his son for being bad at something. He just needed to work harder. Nathaniel would make sure it was done.

𝚜𝚙𝚊𝚛𝚔𝚜𝚌𝚊𝚝𝚝𝚎𝚛((If I had the console I'd get Golden >.< But I got a PS2 instead )) Oh gods... Lyle relaxed a bit feling relieved that despite his awkward wording, he didn't raise any questions. At least it appeared that way. He nodded, "I will certainly work harder, especially with Sister setting the high bar." He lightly chuckled, "Ah, but shifting topics.." He began, "I hope you are fairly well, father. With being busy and all I rarely see you, or mother. And rumors circulating about a group of mercinaries on a quest to break peace, it surely seems like you will continue to be busy."

If only consoles weren't so expensive -.-)
"Yes, things certainly have gotten busy." Nathaniel felt like his son would have more luck talking to his mother about this, she pulled the strings usually. Instead of saying this he shook his head and said "What is your opinion of the kingdoms state? As a heir to the throne you need to be able to look at problems and issues, then think of a way to fix them."

Auransky 𝚜𝚙𝚊𝚛𝚔𝚜𝚌𝚊𝚝𝚝𝚎𝚛"Because that make sense," said Lin. "Burn the building down or capture him, regardless of whether he's guilty of anything or not. Damned if he does, damned if he doesn't. And I still notice you are cleverly avoiding being logical in all of this. If you think he's committed some crime against the royal family...why don't you bring that case to the royal family? But noooope. That's too good for you. You have to rely of mob rule." She crossed her own arms and looked around at the people in the crowd. She made sure her voice was loud, so that others could hear her. "You also seemed pretty quick to jump to conclusions, so should you really be trusted to run this sort of thing. Who ever said I was not a professional? I seem to think that if we have all this time to wait for him to break, we have just as much time to ask for a second opinion."

He frowned at the thought. " but the people come first, and such selfish desires of mine must not be taken seriously. " When asked he paused to think. This question has never once crossed his mind. Rather he was busy exploring an issue and not the overall picture. "Well..." hE muttered now unsurlingly . "It would be best to start from the outside and go within. Asking the knights what they have seen and herd, and attempt to temporary provide relief. I'm doing sp, we can have a beginning and progress into the bigger issie. Knights are being overworked, and while safety is important , health Is essiantail." He paused Now shaking HIs head."N-no.. " He reconsidered , ,"MAYbe?" He Now was unsure Of his Own thoughts. mintedstar/fur "Excuse me, but who are you to decide such things?" The tax collector asked mockingly. This girl , was just getting on his ner ves. Of course he would let her speak but still on his nerves. "Alright then,a second opinion go for it." He encouraged. " but be weary people simply want a n excuse for lynching. " Coire shrugged !going away from the window, "if killing were legeal, id have mercenaries all over him." He shared his thoughts with lupin. " oh well things seem to be quieting dpwn. Auransky 𝚜𝚙𝚊𝚛𝚔𝚜𝚌𝚊𝚝𝚝𝚎𝚛"Then it seems just as logical to lynch him," said Lin, pointing to someone randomly in the crowd. "Or her," pointing again. "Or me," she pointed to herself, though a raised eyebrow said that she'd like to see someone try. Then she pointed to the tax collector and said, "Or you." After a second for effect she said, "As for who I am...I don't think you'd like to know. So, explain to me and...him," she located Arai in the crowd again. "Why exactly you want to condemn a blacksmith and/or destroy his shop? After you explain that to us, I'll be more than happy to get that second opinion." That eyebrow rose again, higher. Lupin looked out the window again and said, under his breath. "I think we just have some of the crowd on our side, is all. They might get bored. Lets hope." He continued to sweep, but always kept one eye on the door or window.

And they also announced PQ2, it's a good time for Persona fans!)
Nathaniel listened. When his son started to falter he waited patiently. He may be a king, but he was also a father and needed to be patient with his children. Lyle needed more confidence and would only get it if he wanted it and continued to try "Continue." he said, nodding encouragingly.
Arai sighed, she just had to get herself caught up in this mess. For a princess she was quite outgoing. He stayed by her side just in case this man decided to do anything foolish. If her life was put in danger he wouldn't hesitate to pull his spear and kill and man. This day could have gone so much easier.

brokenGlen shrugged, "Stupidity perhaps.... I wouldn't be surprised." He slowed the horses entirely as they reached the back of the building. Seeing as there was no one back there he stopped the horses, then jumped off. "Right-let's go inside and see what troubles are arousing." He approached the door from the back then knelt down to run a hand along the wall and the dirt. He was looking for a hole within the ground and in the building for Coire's spare key. "Just going to borrow this, and we should be just fine" 𝚜𝚙𝚊𝚛𝚔𝚜𝚌𝚊𝚝𝚝𝚎𝚛Lyle blinked, hearing the relief from his father was something he clearly wished for. It was rather pleasent and inviting. Much more then his mother who always wanted to be in the moment without regret. "Well.." He reconsidered his approach. "Relief would always be the first approach. Beginning with the sick, and elderly. For they are the ones who have he knowledge and experience of times past. From there we rotate to the nursing and young. For they are the future of tomorrow. At the same time, we should allow knights to return home to alliviate their loved ones. If trust is nonexistant then having such extreme protection is futile." He examined their situation. "Perhaps more interaction with the people in town. They would urely likle to see that...They would like to see you again as they did in your early days." He smiled, recalling the conversations he had with the group from earlier. "To know that their ruler, and leader is alive, and well. Without that thought then even attempting any change is worth not the effort." "So at the end of the day..." He slowed his pacing, "We should reconnect with the people before approaching the line of battle." mintedstar/furThe taxcollector stomped the ground aggressively. He had enough of this and enough of her. He stepped back shaking his head attempting to recollect himself, obviously failing to do so. Next he snapped his fingers towards the two knights, "You two, let's go. We have other important manors to attend to!" He spat angrally. Looking back towards the semi interested crowds he held out his hands, "Worry not, for you will all sleep well in the coming days." With that he shot Lin a rather rude look, before walking-er rushing off in pure annoyance. Coire had gone back to fetch tea, seeing as this roudiness wasn't going to end soon. Returning to the shop's main room he placed the tray over the counter then leaned against the side. "Right, what's going on now?" He asked Lupin. "Seeing as we are the attraction, we should be interested, right?"

Finally found the time to finish Persona 5 yesterday! I was sad to leave T-T I think I'm gonna play again and max out more confidant ranks.)
Nathaniel listened to him without saying anything. He would have liked to go into town more, but with recent developments that had turned near impossible "I like what you are saying. But as things are turning now it could be dangerous to have knights leave their posts. I agree with reconnecting. Sometimes situations don't allow it." he could feel a storm coming. After man battles in his past he could feel it. Nathaniel was unsure what it meant, things seemed to be contained. Something was just... off.
Arai took a step in front of Lin when the man started to get aggressive. When he finally left Arai held back a sigh and looked back at the Princess "I admire your sense of justice, but you seem to have cause a scene." not her exactly, the man was the one who had called all the attention to them.

mintedstar/fur ((Life comes first )) 𝚜𝚙𝚊𝚛𝚔𝚜𝚌𝚊𝚝𝚝𝚎𝚛Listening to his father, his ideas and thoughts were truly crushed by reality. While fiction, and hope were portions: reality always pulled through in the end.He nodded in understanding towards his fathers words. "Of course, a true point. Something I sadly overlooked." He admitted. "So in such a situation would it be best to simply continue spreading word of hope through the distance and hope for the best?" He asked now in interest. "If things keep pushing over the edge, it is only a matter of time before our subjects turn away from us entirely." he shared his concern. "Then we may have no one by our side."

"I wish I had an answer for you. Rarely can you know what will be best in the end. No one can look in to the future after all. You will have to take into consideration of everything and decided and the best course of action that you think will work. Some may not believe you, some with agree." Nathaniel wished he had a better answer for his son. But he felt as if his words were true. Some problems were black and white. This one was a rainbow of different issues, views, and points.

Auransky 𝚜𝚙𝚊𝚛𝚔𝚜𝚌𝚊𝚝𝚝𝚎𝚛(And we continue letting Lin do whatever she wants. cx ) Lin looked a little smug as the guy left. She turned on her heels, walking past Arai, and toward the blacksmith's door. She said to no one in particular, but loud enough to hear, "I don't know about everyone else, but I was sleeping fine before! The blacksmith isn't going to cause me any nightmares tonight if I don't even know what he did." She walked right up to the door and knocked on it. She was going to find out what all the ruckus was, however. "Some girl is being logical," said Lupin, who'd slightly cracked open a window so he could hear. "You'd be surprised how much that annoyed that tax collector guy." He pointed to the door. "Someone's knocking, by the way. I don't think angry mobs knock, should we let them in?"

Arai sighed. She wasn't doing anything he could tell her off on. If the man had attacked he could have her go back to the castle because of the danger. He resigned himself and followed her to the door. He scanned the area for any danger but people were losing interest and going on their way.

𝚜𝚙𝚊𝚛𝚔𝚜𝚌𝚊𝚝𝚝𝚎𝚛"O-Of course..." Lyle softly replied, unsure how to speak up about the topic. "I guess time can truly tell on the overall coming storm." His voice softened, at the same time his eyes were slightly glimpsing away. This conversation while well needed- was now beginning to feel like a long winded interrogation. At least that is how it appeared to him... "Father,if I were to ask permission to leave the grounds.." Nathaniels eyes hardened "You know the rules. Unless you have a very good reason for leaving the castle I fell as if I cannot let you unless you have a guard with you." some of his better knights were out. One with Lin and others at the mines. Nathaniel didn't want to let his son leave. It was too risky.

𝚜𝚙𝚊𝚛𝚔𝚜𝚌𝚊𝚝𝚝𝚎𝚛Lyle stumbled back, he really appreciated his father's company, at the same time the man could be a scary guy. "O-Of course.. Rules are rules and I respect that. But I do not intend to go into town by my lonesome. I was going to ask sir Glen the next tim I see him. To go out alone, of course I would sound stupid!" Well... I already sound stupid seeing as I walked into the mines without anyone for aid.. "I overheard from the knights of a blind old gentlemen who is ill and dying. He had lost his grandson in a recent crossfire with a demon, and his son has gone missing too.." His voice softened. "I was hoping to pay him a visit for condolences for such heart aches he burdens himself with these days..." He was entirely making this up, but if he went around asking to leave the castle grounds because he wanted to, that certainly would be a night locked in his room for such stupidity. Please buy it....please buy it... please buy it..mintedstar/fur"At the door?" Coire raised a brow now a tight bit concerned. "Well.." He gazed away at the thought. "Well..." He repeated , "Alright.." He closed his eyes for a brief moment to consider the open ended possibility. "I mean we're only victims.. I seriously doubt anything will happen." He nodded, "Alright let them in. If things get bad we get out through the back door." broken"Stupid... varies. it doesn't have to be stupid to be stupid." Glen remarked. "But we are all guilty of being put in that situation at some point in our lives." He waved the key in his hand before actually opening the door. Once the door was opened, he motioned Patrick to go inside, before he did. "But this just goes to show ya that this town is loosing its sense of reality, one day at a time..."

"I haven't heard of such a thing..." his sentence trailed off. He hadn't heard of a lot of things. So many things had been kept from him while he was in a version of house arrest. His eyes narrowed but he sighed and shook his head, crossing his arms across his chest and saying "Very well. But I will ask Glen to report back to me. Don't try anything foolish. A prince needs to have cool head on his shoulders."
