AuranskyLupin hardly glanced at the holy water that one of the knights was holding. Sure, it would hurt him, but he was more worried about Coire. He frowned for a second and he moved his sword to point at the knight who had his current employer in a headlock. With some hesitation, he thought of a rough plan. He needed some sort of upper hand, but putting a little confusion into all of this might help. He wasn't so optimistic to think his next move would get Coire out of the headlock, but it might at least give the three men pause. He flicked his sword, another illusion making it look like Coire disappeared. The knight would still be able to feel him, but not see him. The fallen angel pointed to the sack and did the same thing to it. "I'll give you compensation, but you are not exactly making the offer easy." This many illusions were causing a strain, but Lupin wasn't going to let that show. Using his 'free' hand (the one not holding the sword), he reached into his sleeve. He sighed, because this was just a pain. He pulled on a thin cord that went up into his sleeve, drawing out a leather strap. On it was, in simple words, a fortune. It was slightly surprising that he didn't clink when he moved. He pulled the strap all the way out and made a point to toss it at the knight holding the bottle of holy water. "That one." He reached into his other sleeve and this time he pulled out two other straps, tossing them to the collector and the other knight in turn. These things were not illusions. It was the money Lupin had saved up over the years. The fallen angel now raised an eyebrow, looking around. "Leave? You've gotten what you came for." Half of this was smoke and mirrors, and he knew it. The only thing real in all of this was the money he'd just tossed around. And if this lasted much longer, one or more of these illusions would break.

𝚜𝚙𝚊𝚛𝚔𝚜𝚌𝚊𝚝𝚝𝚎𝚛"What sort of statement, though?" muttered Lin, looking at a curling piece of smoke. She didn't think the building looked particularly important, but did that matter? She nodded her head as Arai talked, thinking. "Alright then. If they have it under control - " She was cut off when something caught her gaze out of the corner of her eye. Across the river, something... odd was happening. She pointed to it, even as it caught a few looks from the people below. "And what, is that?" Percival moved, not caring if he made noise. Time to flee the sinking ship. His body hit the small wind that let the faintest trail of light into the building, breaking glass and sending painful shards to the road below. Behind him, once the rope was pulled, it was like a chain reaction. He hadn't set another fire, per say, but what exactly would you call the message that was now scrawling itself in flames over the scrap-wood he'd placed? Pulling the rope hadn't cause anything to directly happen to Calec, but he might not be to happy to find out his name was now glowing in fiery letters across the floor of the attic. The window was painfully small, but the vampire was pretty sure you could see the 'C' through it.

ᴀᴄʜʀᴏᴍᴀᴛɪᴄAliissa Harmony's maid didn't like that she was getting ordered something completely insane. Aliissa was calmly sitting on her horse, just outside the stables. Her shorter leg was resting in an odd position, since the stable had gotten the wrong saddle again, but she from the way she sat, it looked like even this didn't faze her. "I requested your uniform? Was that an odd request? Did I stutter?" The maid shook her head, but was just as confused the second time. "A-alright ma'am, but if I might ask...?" "I'd rather you didn't," said Aliissa, rolling her eyes. Smoke stung them, as she was pretty close to some of Percival's handy-work. Burning buildings. Well, he was back. What craziness had brought this on was beyond her reasoning, but there was no way she could appear to be the Baroness she was. A maid's uniform would work well, wouldn't it? A few hours later, an unassuming maid entered threw the door Catherine had, looking a lot less icy perhaps. Her leg was still a slight give away, or would have been if she hadn't stuffed some paper into the bottom of her new shoe to give it the extra inch. She could have had specially made shoes, or somesuch, with how she was normally dressed, but that would mean giving up the cane. She ignored almost everyone in the building, even if some seemed interested in her. She planted herself near the counter and said, in a clear voice, "My master wishes to speak to Percival Winfred Regimald III. Has anyone any information on where his is?"

Glad to have you back Mint! Sorry for my bit of inactivity, we got a new puppy and she's a full time job. She's napping right now so I finally got the time to get on.)
Arai turned to look at her and noticed it as well. His eyes narrowed and he clicked his tongue, urging his horse forwards "Be careful, I don't know what that is." he warned the Princess. His first job was still to protect her. If it was something that didn't need guards, or would be fine with the regular guards he would drop it. The sound of shatter glass caught his attention immediately and his head whipped towards the direction.
Calec crawled into the attic and snarled. Just as he was getting ready to follow the vampire he saw the writing on the ground of the attic. How dare he. What a dirty move. Calec pushed away from the window and clawed at the ground irritably. By the time he took care of this he would have lost the vamps trail.

mintedstar/furCatherine had been serving drinks while on a break from singing; the strange encounter that had happened some time ago was pushed to the back of her mind. Things were flowing normally, well, normally for a vampire. Earlier that week she had fed from one of the intoxicated customers- but that had been easy, and no one had suspected a thing. Her thirst was satisfied for now, and she continued to do her job until she heard a familiar voice.
The voice was coming from the front counter, the utterance of a lowly maid. Catherine couldn't help but stare at her. While the maid appeared to be unfamiliar to the bard, her voice was not. But the bard just couldn't place where she had heard it.
"Hey, wench! Give me the ale!" one of the customers shouted at her. She sighed and returned to serving the drinks. Day drinkers, the woman cursed them in her mind. If this one gets out of hand I may have to deal with him MY way. Of course, this event did not stop her attention from falling back towards the maid. She's odd. It makes me curious.
The barkeep behind the counter responded to the maid. "Your master is looking for a man of that title, here of all places?" he huffed. "Who is your master exactly?" He had a defensive posture to him, for the old man knew that any drama with nobles could bring trouble.

𝚜𝚙𝚊𝚛𝚔𝚜𝚌𝚊𝚝𝚝𝚎𝚛"That's reassuring," said Lin sarcastically, following. Her eyes were still on the...light. Probably firelight, until it was interrupted by a shape bursting through the window. "And that," she said. "Now looks like a letter." Percival raised down the street, hoping now that the demon had something to focus on he could get away. Though where he was going to go was another matter. He didn't exactly have his house or horse anywhere near here. His clothes were wet and slightly ash-streaked, and he had to duck down back alleys to avoid the sunlight. Things couldn't get worse, could they? (Sounds like you were busy. xD Hang in there. They grow into dogs some day.)

Ugh, I hope I last that long XD She refuses to sleep and when she does shes up again in two hours to go outside and pee. I need some sleep lol)
Arai snorted at her comment. When she pointed out the letter he looked to it. It was a glowing C. Strange, he thought to himself. The thought only lasted a moment before a shape moved in front of the letter and when it was gone there was nothing left of it up a few bright lines in the wood. "Stay close." he told the princess as he drew his weapon and moved forwards.
Calec slashed the floor board apart with his claws. The hot wood was painful against his skin that was showing but he could handle it. Stupid vampire and his stupid ideas. Granted, they were good ideas. But that didn't mean Calec like the vamp in the least. Well, perhaps he liked him a bit. He had given Calec a lot more fun then anyone else could offer.

mintedstar/fur((Very , Very Very sore ugh)) The knight holding Coire in a headlock was rather surprised towards the illusions effects. He backed away, still gripping what he assumed was nothing, but it wasn't that he knew, it was that the illusion still hadn't entirely clicked in his head. Upon realiztion he released his grip, and jumped back bumping into the tax collector. The tax collector didn't see the knight either, rather he fell back as the knight bumped into him. He let go of everything as he hit the floor. With the knight on top of him he grasped for air, before kicking the knight off of him. He dusted himself off angrily, then turned his attention to the two knights, "We are leaving, there is no need to conduct business here any longer." He angrily stomped the ground.. With the two knights close, the three backed away amd continued to do so until they created a distance from the shop. Once at a distance, they left. Coire on the floor, slowly got up and started to dust himself off. He then placed a hand on the side of his neck, rubbing against the throbing pain. "I should have filled the sack with snakes." He softly commented. broken((Know you are on vacation and all but we'll pick up in the stables after the group splits. etc.)) 𝚜𝚙𝚊𝚛𝚔𝚜𝚌𝚊𝚝𝚝𝚎𝚛Now back at the castle, and by the looks of it, under the radar: Lyle made his way through the halls. After everything that had happened in the past few days, walking through the halls in his own domain brought shivers down his spine. There was that eery feeling on being watched, but then again it was probably just him. On the other end, recalling what had happened in the mines, versus what had happened in town let alone at his host's home was very odd.

Heads up, I finally got Persona 5 so I might not be on tomorrow. I'm so excited haha)
Nathaniel walked out of a door and noticed his son down the hall way "Where have you been?" he questioned, not having seen him for the entire day. He didn't sound prying and was genuinely interested. In his arms was a couple items. He was getting some last minute work done. Nathaniel was much calmer and friendlier when his wife wasn't watching him like a crow.

ᴀᴄʜʀᴏᴍᴀᴛɪᴄ(I had to get off earlier than usual yesterday. Sorry for late reply. *drags Percival in* ) "He likes to hide," said Aliissa dryly to the barkeep. She didn't answer his second question, but had a pretty good reason not to, because someone ran through the door. Oh, he tried to look like he hadn't been as soon as he entered, but Aliissa caught the scent of smoke and he was dripping onto the hardwood. "Speak of the devil and he appears," she said, amused. Amusement wasn't really in her character, actually. Several eyes were turned to Percival and he shuffled uncomfortably. "Have I missed something?" he asked, eyes scanning everyone including Catherine until they landed on the 'maid'. "Oh no. Not you again," he muttered. "Do you have any idea how badly my day has gone and now there's you." He cast a glance at Catherine again, possibly with a look that said 'Heeeeelp'.

𝚜𝚙𝚊𝚛𝚔𝚜𝚌𝚊𝚝𝚝𝚎𝚛(Puppy-sitter? ) Lin nodded at his, he better hope it was at least, request. She moved forward as well, though a little behind him. "Someone's still in there," she whispered, not really knowing why she was keeping her voice low. "I wonder if it's the one whose been starting fires..." It was a logical thought at least and she filed it away to be considered later.

mintedstar/fur (Ahh no worries ) The barkeep didn't quite know how to respond to the maid, so he stood there with his jaw clenched, calculating, until the newcomer burst through the door. "And here comes the trouble," he muttered bitterly. In truth, the old man didn't know what to do. The man named Percival was of a higher status no doubt, so he felt it best to stand aside and hope that the drama would leave his tavern soon.
Catherine, on the other hand, was quite involved. She didn't know who this Percival was, or the maid, but she could sense some sort of tension in the air between them. The encounter from earlier resurfaced in her mind for one brief moment, but the bard quickly pushed that thought away. There was no time to try connecting the baroness to what was going on here. Placing her tray of drinks down on a nearby bench, she dusted off her apron and hastily approached the two. People were staring, and if fights broke out, Catherine would have to be the one to break them up.
"Excuse me; is something amiss here?" She glanced at the maid, and then at Percival, giving him a questioning look. Part of the vampire hoped that nothing unfortunate would happen here; but the other part of her was quite bored and secretly wished something exciting would happen in this dull tavern.

Auransky"That probably would have been easier, yes," said Lupin, letting the illusion drop away and stumbling backwards until he could lean against a wall. A bead of sweat appeared above his eye and he brushed it away. "They better be gone," he muttered, brushing a thumb over his ebony ring. A thin crack was running through it now, nearly splitting it. He wondered how that had happened. "As I said," he muttered. "A paid body guard would really save some time and energy." (Against your last post, mine looks tiny. ;-; )

𝚜𝚙𝚊𝚛𝚔𝚜𝚌𝚊𝚝𝚝𝚎𝚛Wake up get up get out there! One of us, one of us one of us (Yea my phone's been persona5'd) Lyle flinched, quickly standing upright to hide his surprise. Hearing his father's voice, he stiffened and swallowed his thoughts and concerns. "Hello Father!" He turned trying to unstiffen and yet unable too. "There was a perfectly good reason for my absense." He quickly picked up his words. "I-I decided to..." He quickly thought, he didn't want to say that he spent his day investigating the crystals which are forbidden. Let alone the fact that he was attacked by a demon: nearly twice! He raised a finger a thought crossing his mind, "-I was practicing my Latin!" He spewed out. "Since I am very, very, very bad at such a language I decided to take time alone to practice. I was hoping to impress my tutor the next time I see her!" He was now nodding to assure himself. "I am very emberrissed of my lack in Latin, and studying alone in peace and solitary is a perfect solution!" mintedstar/fur((You're fine )) Coire glanced over at Lupin, everything that had just happened, while exciting certainly worried him. On the other end, he didn't expect Lupin to act in such a manor, Could of sworn to have told him not to... He shrugged, walking back into the shop and closed the door behind him. "I appreciate what you did, and while I want to scold you, I can't help but agree." He muttered, "On the other end.... we may have stirred up some unwelcome trouble." He thought now. "But for now let's simply clean up a bit more then take a rest. I'll prepare some tea in the back seeing as things are truly slowing down."

ᴀᴄʜʀᴏᴍᴀᴛɪᴄ(In the end, will this building be left standing? That is the question. xD ) Percival eyed Aliissa, perfectly aware of who she was. Aliissa grinned at him, clearly feeling superior. She pointed a finger at him, ignoring Catherine. "Enjoy a swim? Please do stop looking like a drowned rat every time I run into you." "It was unavoidable at the time, my lady," said Percival, voice mocking. But he did ring out his sleeve. He looked over at Catherine and said, "I should say so. Is it often that nobles get...molested! when they enter the building." His eyes looked Aliissa up and down again. The baroness rolled her eyes, eyes as icy as always. "Shut up." "Depends. Are you going to try and kill me silently today or will I get one last scream? Because I hardly want to die quietly, now do I?" asked Percival, beginning to walk over to a table. He seemed calm enough, though his eyes darted around the room like he was looking for an exit. Once again, those eyes fell on Catherine. He raised an eyebrow at her in passing, as if speaking without words 'well? are you just going to stand there?'

ᴀᴄʜʀᴏᴍᴀᴛɪᴄRussell shrugged at how shocked she seemed. It didn't seem like too big of a deal to him, and after all he was basically the only doctor in town. And besides, he was an angel with healing abilities which just made his job easier, though he would use herbs and other medicines to help die down the suspicions. "I suppose," he commented, then blinked a few times. "Also, there is nothing wrong like that. Actually, you play an important role here. In fact, I'd rather support small businesses like yourself instead of bigger ones." - Auransky(Okay sounds fine with me) Patrick was still on the horse in the stables, watching where Lyle had disappeared to. The teenager blinked and looked away from the aree, then at the knight he was with. "Alright, that went better than expected," he said softly, trying to turn his horse around thin he was having some issues. "So the next thing on our agenda is getting to ltown, correct.?"

mintedstar/fur (XD) The maid's voice was becoming more and more familiar, and it occurred to Catherine that she probably wasn't who she said she was. Especially after the exchange that went on between her and Percival. The bard stepped between them in an attempt to quell the situation. "There will be no violence in this building!", she hissed. Though she was used to breaking up brawls between drunken customers, this time she felt uneasy. Taking Percival's expectant gaze as a sign for help, she approached the man. "The staff have been expecting you! Could you come with me to the wine cellar?" Catherine's voice had an edge to it, and she gazed at Percival, giving him a small and quick wink.broken (Welcome back ) Demeter smiled. "That is quite nice of you," she said. "Whatever coin I receive certainly helps me get by." It wasn't a necessity, though. By growing up poor, she had learned to become self-sufficient. "And if I ever fall ill or become injured, I'll be sure to visit you. If I have the money, that is!" She laughed at that. Her aura was tranquil, her personality more laid-back than most. The elf knew this, and secretly wondered if she appeared boring to the other person.

AuranskyLupin had acted the way he thought he should, since the knight had been holding Coire by the throat. Honestly, what else could he have done? "Scold me if you want," he said, shrugged. Humans confused him. He felt along the ebony ring again, the crack annoyed him and he really hoped that he would end up with a new ring soon. "I just did what I thought was needed. Plus, I was a touch focused on a guy trying to strangle you." He tapped a fingernail against the ring and added, "But I wouldn't be surprised if that does mean trouble. But what hasn't been today? Someone starting fires in town, too, if you didn't notice the smoke while we were walking here. So maybe you should also be thankful that this place wasn't on of them." He stood straight, moving around as he got his barrings again. "Yes. I can clean up a bit more, since I think certain guests left a mess."

ᴀᴄʜʀᴏᴍᴀᴛɪᴄ "Tell him/her that!" both vampires said that the exact same time, looking at Catherine as they did. Both nobles fell dangerously silent, unwilling to let the other out of their sight, yet also wanting to move on when the exchange that they weren't going to get out of. Percival's attention didn't move from Catherine and an easy smile came over his face. "Of course. Thank you." He stood, sweeping past Aliissa, knowing that she would let him go for a few seconds, but not for long. Aliissa watched him walk by her, aware that he was purposely getting close enough to let the scent of smoke and river water drift into her nose. Taunting. He would burn this building down without thinking twice, like he had so often before. Then he would use some clever trick to hide, run, or fight. Or not so clever trick, if he was in actual danger. He wasn't afraid to fight dirty if he thought he needed to. The 'maid' still stood tall, shoulders back, as she watched Percival walk away. "Be careful when you believe his smile, Catherine," she warned. But she didn't follow. Best to let the bard stand on her own two feet. So I was right, thought Percival. Aliissa's testing her.

He considered. "Why should I be mas? My life was on the line, for all I knew they could have conducted a public execution for the stupidest of ideas." He moved over to the back end of the room, snatching two brooms from the corner, "We should just sweep around. There's a salty scent in the air." He snickered handing Lupin the other broom. "But trouble or not, we're in on it. We just keep an eye out for a few days, let it die and just be glad we didn't end up on the burning end of town." He frowned slightly at the thought. "To think that has been going on at this moment, and yet that tax collector was eager here. If anything he should have gone out there and taxed bystanders for not doing a thing." broken"Right!" Glen nodded in agreement, getting back on to his horse. "We need to pick up a few supplies then pick up the other two before heading back." He spoke. mintedstar/furWhen the maid said her name, Catherine was shocked. She immediately recognized the voice then, of the baroness who somehow knew her name before. It filled her with suspicion, not only for Percival but for the "maid" as well. She had no idea what was going on, but she intended to find some answers very soon; her day had gotten much more interesting. Leading Percival down the stairs into the wine cellar, she shut the door behind them. Turning to face the man, she crossed her arms, took a deep breath, and began, "Alright, what is going on here? Am I to believe that you are a normal customer? Who is that woman really, and how does she know my name?" She frowned, eyes squinting in distrust. "And who are you?" Although her curiosity had been piqued, the vampire still felt vulnerable. Her quiet life of feeding from customers under the radar had worked for some time, and she worried to herself that the presence of another vampire- possibly two others, since she couldn't tell if this man was one or not- could disrupt what she had. brokenDemeter appeared overjoyed at what the doctor said, and even still when he made the offer to accompany her. "That sounds like a plan to me!" she said. There wasn't much left in her basket to sell, but the elf liked the idea of having some company; she felt very lonely most of the time. "What sort of errands must you carry out today, doctor?" she asked. Then Demeter realized that she knew Archie's name, but not the doctor's. "Oh! And I didn't quite catch your name," she laughed nervously.

Ok, Persona 5 is addicting. I've probably put too many hours into it for the amount of days I've had it. Whoops...)
"I think you're on to something." Arai agreed "It would make sense, but why start to many fires now? What is their purpose." it was fine and all to consider it, but not now. Staring at it one last time he nodded and decided to look into it later. Turning back he said "The guards will take care of it. What would you like to do now?"
The King nodded slowly, he didn't look as if he believed his son completely but didn't comment "Hmmm, that's a lot of hours to put into it. How about I test you? I know a fair amount myself." it was a good way to see if his son was telling the truth. Nathaniel had more worrisome things to deal with than a lying son, so even if he was, there wasn't much point in calling him out on it.

(It's been so long I've forgotten what I'm supposed to do with Lin. ;-; ) AuranskyLupin took a broom, gazing at it with a slightly bemused look. "Figured I'd done enough polishing?" He started to sweep it across the floor, though slowly so as not to kick up too much dust. He had to agree, sadly, that he had gotten himself into enough trouble by interfering. When he had been moving from town to town, the fallen angel had often gotten into dangerous situations. This usually meant he had to keep up an illusion over his face, until even that wasn't enough and he had had to move on. "Yes, agreed." He didn't want to know why fires were being started. It wasn't worth getting into more secrets. Lupin sighed. "Was anything that guy did logical? I mean, threaten anyone in the building was bad enough." He frowned at the thought of the holy water. Luckily they had taken it with them.
