𝚜𝚙𝚊𝚛𝚔𝚜𝚌𝚊𝚝𝚝𝚎𝚛 "I had a job for you," said Lin, hold up an index finger to illustrate her point, pointing at Arai. Her eyes flickered to the action going on behind him and tilted a little to try and look behind the knight. "What's going on back there?" she asked, less serious and more amused. ( What was the job again. >.< Body guard, was it?) -- Percival backed up, face becoming grim. Well, it looked like Calec was getting serious. And the problem was, the vampire didn't have as good a trick up his sleeve. Considering jumping in the water had sacrificed a lot of his fire starting materials. Back to running it was. He spun on his heals and dashed back along the bridge. If the best tools he had on him was stuff that started fires, then maybe it was time to raze this neighborhood. Getting himself caught was a last resort, but at least that would distract the demon. " With everything going on in the kingdom he knights have been busy, they still are." Aria replied, choosing his words carefully. The queen was hard to read sometime, and even harder to talk to. So he was unsure how much her daughter knew. And if he told her something she wasn't supposed to know... even if he was an angel the queen was scary. Calec cackled and bolted after him. They were back on more comfortable grounds. No more water. Not only that he has started to feel the buzz of blood running through his veins. He got this way when he turned demon. When he wasn't completely in his demon form he acted a bit more human. But all that was left now was the finish the transformation. Against his better judgment though he stayed human. It was too dangerous with all the knights around to go full demon. Hey! Just wanted to let you know I won't be on Thursday and most of Saturday. I have to go to a camp. I really would rather stay home but I can't risk angering my mother haha XD) ('kay! Have fun!) "I suppose dragging you away from your job now will be an inconvenience, wont it?" said Lin with some concern. She didn't seem to notice that Aria's answer hadn't really be straightforward. She stood up to her full height again and tilted her head at Aria. "However I really could use you for the job I have." -- Percival grimaced. The sun was starting to come up. He may have been wet through, but he didn't think that would do anything against getting roasted in the growling sunlight. Guess the last resort would have to be deployed. At least he probably would be taken to someplace out of the sunlight and could arrange for his servants to get him out of custody. He tried to run as fast as he could as he rummaged through his pockets. He had a few wax covered matches with him somewhere... He jumped up and grabbed the side of a window and pulled himself up from there onto the roof. As he did, he struck a match he'd found against the wall.

Arai nodded "Please, if you need anything just ask. The knights can manage without me." His first job was to work for the royal family. They had plenty of knights to take care of work in the towns and around the castle. Whatever she wanted also sounded important. To her at least. Arai would be happy to help as long as it didn't take too long...
Calec saw the small match burst into light and twisted away, jumping aside. "Oi," he hissed "Don't go getting us caught you coward." If this crazy camp decided to set a house on fire Calec would duck out and get away from the crime scene. He enjoyed being able to move around town without a bounty on his head.

AuranskyLupin returned from where he had been, clean tools in one hand. He gave the door that the customers had just exited through and whistled. "Your appointed customers are all pushy. You could almost have an excuse to keep a body guard in here." He walked over and set the tools on the table he had gotten them from. After that, he turned and leaned against it. "I never really care what others thought of me." He pointed at Coire. "It's different for those who have a steady and regular job." The fallen angel spread his arms as if to indicate himself. "Then you've got me who takes odd jobs and moves one with his nomadic life. I don't have to face the same people twice." He made it sound like that was normal, when actually he was just running away from interaction.

Auransky Patrick followed after Glen, listening to what he had to say. What he had said sounded very one-sided, but oh well. It was probably best to get the prince back anyway. He didn't want to think about what would happen to them if anyone found out Lyle was with them. He was about to answer, b then he considered what he had been about to say. Glen was a knight, so him bringing the prince back couldn't cause too much trouble. "I think I can head to town and get the list, if you'd like. Though, it might be difficult to find those things..." he shrugged and nodded. "Yeah I'll do that. There's someone in town who has to know where to get a cross and blessed water." He paused for a brief moment, looking over at him. "But you be careful, okay?"

𝚜𝚙𝚊𝚛𝚔𝚜𝚌𝚊𝚝𝚝𝚎𝚛"I need a body guard," said Lin, pointing at Arai. "I hope the knights can mange without you, because I don't know how long this will take." She knew that he was obligated to help her and tried to let that show in her stance. She wasn't sure she was really pulling it off, however. -- Percival grinned a little. His voice was a little dry as he said, "What'd you expect me to do, Calec? You pulled out your tricks, so I did as well. If you heighten the stakes you better be prepared to have them met." With another hand, he struck a second match, not willing for the first to go out before he said his piece. "Anyway, how's this? You wanted a deal. Five minutes head start and I wont set this house on fire." As soon as he finished speaking, he started running across the roof. It didn't matter what the vampire had said. He just wanted to distract Calec. Both matches were blown out as he started to run.

mintedstar/fur Catherine had been so busy watching the sunrise that she had almost forgotten about the other person, until she stirred. Then it crossed the bard's mind that the figure was probably a customer, and she still needed to act like she worked here. "Are you a customer here?" asked Ms. Caine. "I can get you something off the menu, if you like." The vampire hoped that this mysterious person would answer quickly so that she could get back inside. Her skin was already starting to become irritated.

ᴀᴄʜʀᴏᴍᴀᴛɪᴄ"No," said Aliissa, not looking over. Her voice was cold, but not unkind. It just felt like it was a firm answer and not something that needed to be corrected. "Though I appreciate the offer." Her voice simply stated that the offer had been acknowledged and nothing more. There was no need for thanks in Aliissa's mind. She continued sitting where she was, cane resting across both legs. It would have been a little hard to tell when the vampire was sitting down, but one leg was a little shorter than the other. That's why she had the cane. Aliissa noticed, if only because she was a vampire herself, that Catherine's skin was having an interesting reaction to the growing light. Well, that did sort of confirm her suspicions.

"A body guard. Of course. It would be an honor." Arai nodded and stepped out of the barracks. He had taken a moment to grab his spear which leaned against the wall near him. Slinging it over his shoulder he waited for and order.
Calec tsked, clicking his tongue irritably. As Perceval started to run again he hesitated, but only for a moment. The vampire got maybe a fourth second head start before the scent of smoke hit his nose. The match must've gone out. Growling he jumped into action and started to run.
(Again, I'm gonna be gone for the weekend. So if you need any of your character open feel free to cut the rp with me.)

𝚜𝚙𝚊𝚛𝚔𝚜𝚌𝚊𝚝𝚝𝚎𝚛(I'm fine with keeping Lin and Percival where they are. What else was I supposed to do with them, after all?) "We're heading for town," explained Lin, turning carefully on her feet to head back the way she had come. Then she looked back at Arai, raising an eyebrow as she considered. Finally she added, "And you get to lead the way." She waved an arm to indicate that he should go first. What, thought the vampire, was the point? Calec was chasing him so he didn't have to lose and Percival was running so he could prevent that outcome. But Percival was now on the losing team as the started to rise. There had to be a way out of this, right? Lighting a building on fire was a last resort, but it sounded that Calec would just end up leaving the vampire to take the punishment. Sure, there wouldn't be any evidence (fires were handy that way), but it would still cause the viscount a lot of problems. Those who knew him as a vampire wouldn't actually believe he was the one who started the fire, but... He sighed and suddenly fell over sideways, letting gravity drop him off the side of the roof. It wasn't an expected move, but was still just a normal evasive tactic. He grabbed hold of the window sill and knocked his way through the glass. Well, we tried running, he thought. Let's have a go at hiding...

mintedstar/fur"Very well then," Catherine said. She found it odd that this person would be sitting alone in front of the tavern and not order anything. Especially when that person appeared to be of a higher status than the raucous commoners who frequented this place. Of course, Catherine did not know that the other was a vampire. So the thought arose in her mind that perhaps she could use this loner as a small snack. She was getting hungry, but not for commoner's food. No. There would be a witness somewhere, she told herself. And if she was caught, she would probably have to flee to another kingdom.

ᴀᴄʜʀᴏᴍᴀᴛɪᴄAliissa waited a couple more seconds to see what this other vampire would do, but are a couple more seconds of nothing she set her cane on the ground and pushed her way up. Her first step away was uneven, but they got stronger as she used the cane more freely. She turned her head to look back, letting the hood shade her eyes and cracked a faint smile as she moved. "Best to go back in, out of the sun, my lady." Her voice was mocking, showing the bard how easily it was to see how...inexperienced she was in all of this.

That includes your ring." He smiled waking towards the back room. After a brief moment he dipped his head back towards the dpor, " ah and if someone comes in please do call me. If you'd like please snatch the rag, and give everything on the shelves a good clean. " broken "I'll be careful." Glen approached a door on the side of the hall, reaching in he pulled out a cloak. "I'll take the Prince back to the castle. I'll trust to you for errands. Also!" He paused recalling a thought. "if you stop by my brothers shop, ask him to bring home his tool kit. I already destroyed the supply kit here because of the crystals yesterday." He chuckled awardly. "But he'll understand!" He added.

mintedstar/fur Catherine was taken aback by the other vampire's statement. Is it that obvious? "And how did you know?" she said defensively, purposefully being vague. Immediately, something about this person screamed 'suspicious'. Of course, Catherine still assumed that the woman was a mortal, but had somehow figured out that she herself was a vampire. She truly was inexperienced, only becoming a vampire one year prior. She had no real way of distinguishing the other person's race, especially since she couldn't quite see her face.

He turned around so he was facing him again and said, "Alright. I'll make sure to do that." He eyed the door warily, not entirely sure whether he wanted someone to come in or not. It would be interesting, after all. He found a rag and started to polish a couple of items, though his eyes didn't move from the door.

ᴀᴄʜʀᴏᴍᴀᴛɪᴄAliissa didn't look back at the bard. "I've been hunting a vampire for a long time. I've had to learn all the signs for identifying him." She pointed her cane at Catherine, lifting it over her should to do that so she still wouldn't have to look around. "And he is much better at hiding than you are. You were easy to pinpoint and even easier to admit everything. At least try to come up with a convincing response when someone says something like that. You'll never last long in this world otherwise."

You wouldn't want me to go alone, now would you?" Half a minute was long enough for Percival to find a really good place to hide. He was strongly reminded of the children in town that liked to hide from one another. Hopefully Calec wasn't good at that game. The vampire stilled his breathing, eyes darting one finally look at the two exits he had. Calec, if he found the vampire, would enter through one and Percival would have to try and escape through the other. At least this house seemed to be empty... Was it very likely that the demon would check the attic?

It was fine. I'm honestly not that big of a fan of camping. I'm much more comfortable indoors haha. That's fine, what are you up to? If you don't mind me asking :3)
Arai's lips curled into a scowl but he followed. In a second his face was back to its stone cold line. As a knight he wasn't allowed to show that he disliked his orders. Even if he thought it was foolish and dangerous. At least she had chosen him to go with her. He was much better than a normal knight. And if worst came to worst he would be able to protect her. Things in town sounded bad, but the weirdest thing about it was that she wanted to go. So many things to consider. He shouldered his spear and nodded, leading the way out of the knights area and into the cold night air. A maid had gotten a pair of horses for them and he gestured to one "You ride?" it was too sudden to get a carriage.
Calec wandered around the house. It was covered top to bottom with dust. He followed the scuffs in it as tracks and slowly made his way around the house. For all his skills, tracking was one he had yet to work on. Foolish he knew... but other things required attention as well. He was planning on getting to it, but after everything it hadn't happened. Actually, he had planned to do it the week he nearly got his arm chopped off by that angel. Good times, good times.

When I'm gone I'll also be working on some projects I haven't gotten a chance to work on yet.) Lin accepted the horse from the maid and mounted it. She looked down at Arai, knowing that he wasn't pleased by her desire to head into town. But she also knew that she need to. So it was weighing his feelings against what she thought she needed to do and in the end she needed to put herself first in this. Percival weighted. Every now and again the sound of Calec on the floor below him caught his ears and he did his best to track his movement. If he had an early warning of when he was going to arrive or give up would be helpful. He'd did his best to cause some confusion with the tracks and signs he'd left, but wasn't sure that they would be sufficient. After all, Calec hadn't exactly given him enough time.

Making sure she didn't look as if she would fall off Arai mounted his own steed. The horse didn't seem pleased to be awoken at this time, but it was only an animal doing it's job. Pulling the reigns he led it left "We'll go into town, but stay on your guard. If anything feels weird, anything at all. Please tell me." gently tapping it's sides with his heels he started towards the gates which had been opened by a servant.
It took Calec a right while longer than he would have liked, but he eventually found the real tracks Percival had left behind. Following them he made his way into a nearby room.

"Coire," he said, hoping his face was suitably nervous for the present situation. "There are some men here to see you." mintedstar/furCatherine's jaw dropped in shock. She didn't think her presence was something mere mortals would be able to distinguish, which is why she never gave it much effort. Then again, this person probably wasn't a mortal. "Alright..." the vampire muttered grudgingly, her arms crossed. While their words stung, this person didn't seem very threatening. Obviously, their target was someone else. "Your point has been taken. Now what are you going to do with this information?"

If he thought she sensed something weird, then he would probably want to leave. That wasn't what the princess wanted. She continued to follow Arai in silence, thinking about what she would see when they reached town. -- Percival was very still. Calec seemed to have found the actually trail. Now, all he had to do was find the string that would pull down the stairs to the attic. The vampire tensed a little, ready. There was no way he'd loose a second of what might be his next head start.

Ughhhh I feel your pain, my post was just eaten as well)
Arai led her down the path to the town. As they got closer you could see two billowing pillars of smoke coming from two separate areas. The closer one was almost in sight. As he finally got close enough to see Arai spotted a smoldering pile of wood and a small group around it. Some had water buckets and were putting out the last bits that would possibly catch fire again.
Calec was about to pull the line when he froze. This presence... It was the angel. The angel was in town. He guessed that the angel was a fair amount away, but still in the town. The sudden appearance pulled his attention away from the hunt, even if it was only for a moment.

ᴀᴄʜʀᴏᴍᴀᴛɪᴄAliissa hadn't been planning on doing anything with the information. But she paused for a second and then smiled, though it probably couldn't be seen from under her hood. She reached into her pocket and pulled out an envelope. She threw it to Catherine. "That is my insignia. If you ever run into any trouble, this might get you out of it. It was nice meeting you, Catherine." They hadn't been introduced, but somehow she still knew the bards name. The vampire turned and slowly started to walk away. Her steps were still uneven, but the click of her cane against the street blotted out the uneven noise of her footsteps. There was a crest on the envelope that she had given to Catherine and below it in clear and crisply written letters were the words: Baroness Aliissa Harmony

Auransky(Alright, sounds good :3) Patrick paused by the door for a moment, looking back at Glen. A faint smile grew on his face and he nodded. "Oh yes, of course I'd like that," he said. "But only if it won't be too much of a bother for you." Besides, he wanted to say his goodbyes to the prince because this will probably be the last time in a long time that he'll see him. "I shouldn't need a disguise, right? No one should recognize me."
