Coire jumped into the next clearing, spinning so when he landed he would face Lupin. "Great! Should you decide to stick around , I will probably have you come in at a different time." He walked backwards now, " today I have quite a bit of people picking up their orders, but I also have things scattered around. So before people get there I was hoping to give you a quick rundown of where things go ,and also to help me move the crates into the back room. I got a fresh shipment of ore but haven't had the chance to move it into the nack. So it's just lyiNg around. It's typically not a pfoblem, but you will seen today how some customers react to what they see. It's kinda ridiculous. "

(Alright, that sounds fine with me! I'm horrible at starters, so..) 𝚜𝚙𝚊𝚛𝚔𝚜𝚌𝚊𝚝𝚝𝚎𝚛 The Queen had just finished a meeting with some of the other workers and was now headed off to her room. She turned down a hallway, looking both ways before opening the door and slipping into the room. - Auransky Patrick blinked, but quickly nodded as he quickly continued back towards his place. Geez, obviously the attempt at small talk didn't work... He kept casting glances over at them, but once they were out of sight, he calmed down a little bit, soon making it back to his place safely. Hey y'all :3 I had a camp this week and wasn't able to get on. Though I'm here now. Sorry!)
Arai was told she had headed to her room and he waked through the halls at a brisk pace. "My queen." he said, knocking on the door to annouce his presence. "I have a letter for you."

Yikes I get distracted too easily.)
Arai walked through town and towards the castle. He would arrive within minutes. There seemed to be a bit of a commotion going on, but it look like nothing that would require his attention. Soon he was standing in front of the castle. The guards let him pass and he started the walk to the front doors. Hopefully someone had seen the queen and could tell him where she was. The note was important enough that he didn't want to play hide and seek just to get it delivered. broken Yeah, Auran posted a quick run down of it a couple pages back I believe.)
When the vampire didn't follow him in Calec soon got bored. He traded the item he had been looking for, stashing it in his cloak, and left the room. Nodding at the guard as he passed. As he stepped outside his eyes wandered around the area. Percival was still around, but Calec guessed that he simply didn't see him yet. The vampire was true to his words. He was hard to track, and even harder to spot.(Whoops. Missed this.) The vampire lifted his head as Calec left the building. So it had been as simple as using the front door. Did that mean that the demon hadn't picked up on the fact he was being followed and that it hadn't been a trap? If that was the case, Calec now had some item or new bit of information in his possession. Or he had traded something to someone else. That meant that in some form or another, his actions could be tracked. Percival grinned. This made this next step all the more... interesting. Something, a spark, flared. The vampire moved as soon as it did, knowing that Calec would probably pick up on the sudden flare of light. He was already on the other side of the block, waiting, as the building the demon had just left burst into flames.

Calec held his cloak up to block the intense heat, he scowled as he lowered it. The building had just burst into flames. Good to know. It hadn't been his idea, but it was a grand one. It looked like he had gotten there right at a good time. Spinning the item he had obtained on his finger he pocketed it once again and shook the soot off from his cloak. Looking around again he tried to spot the vampire. The light from their little camp fire made it a lot easier. There was a flit of movement across the street and his eyes snapped towards it.

Percival didn't keep track of Calec for a couple of seconds. Instead, he made a beeline for a house three blocks away that he had found after he had circled around the block. If the demon had spotted him... well, let him follow the vampire this time. He was silent as he approached the building. Unadorned and nothing particularly special. He pressed an ear to the wall, waiting. 5...4...3...2...THERE! Someone was coughing. Another spark flared and this building also burst into flames. The vampire backed away quickly. Fire was a weakness. That hadn't stopped him from starting them, of course. He drifted away from his handy work. He'd come back to this town later tonight. The burns should still be on however had tried to escape. For now, he'd have to keep track of that demon. Percival drifted back to his position on the rooftops. He was easier to be seen now that two building were on fire, but Calec would also be easier to keep tack of. He would have to watch to make sure that there were no other hidden back doors as well. (I hadn't been aiming to bring Percival's fire-starter tendencies into this RP, but I guess my OCs just have some parts of their history they just can't lose, even across universes. )

Percival, a pyromaniac, I love it XD)
Calec jumped and landed on a nearby stand, then he jumped to the roof of the building. Snorting to himself he though, 'Even if I lose the vampire I could probably just follow the flames'. Looking around he waited for another movement. There! Out of the corner of his eye he spotted something. Spinning, his eyes landed on the vamp before he was gone. "Starting fires like this is bound to get attention. Attention I'm sure someone like you doesn't like." though the first one was already dying down. They were in a more remote part of town.

(Yep. He actually is a pyromaniac vampire in my story. I was tempted to put all that into his form on joining, but thought 'eh, I want to have this Percival be a little different'. Didn't work out. xD )
Percival caught the words on the edge of his hearing, but ignored them. He didn't want attention like that, sure, but he didn't intend to start more than those two. Those two had been needed. The vampire moved deeper into the shadows. Calec knew where he was now, so following further would be pointless. Now, all he needed to do was lose him. He darted along the rooftops, jumping from roof to roof. Unless, in the few seconds that it took to lose the demon, he thought of some other reason he should follow him.

Well you did add it to his character, so it should be a part of him :3 I think it's pretty funny. I wouldn't have suspected it.)
It looked like Calec would get his chase in after all. Eyes glowing red he followed. He didn't want to shift completely and was satisfied with just his jumping strength and improved vision for now. There wasn't a reason to follow Percival. Calec shouldn't waste his time. The thrill of the hunt though was a powerful pull. Percival had been following him earlier as well. It was only fair to return the favor.

(Yeah, it just ended up poping up again, so I guess it is. And no one ever does suspect it. )
Percival could tell that Calec was following him. Well then, he'd give the demon a run. It wouldn't be easy, for either of them. He scrambled up the side of a larger building, finding grips for his fingers where even a the best rock climber would have found it impossible. Once he was on the roof he jumped into the shadows again, raising along the edge of the building set up just below the top-story windows. Momentum kept him from tumbling to the street below. Once he had run as far as he could along this building he reached out and grabbed the edge of a sign for some shop or another. He made a sharp turn, using the remains of his momentum and the sign to turn along the other end of the building. Where before, he had been running north, he was now running east. Maybe the climb and the quiet change of direction would slow Calec down. Yeah. Right.

Calec didn't believe in finding handholds, he made his own. Clawing his way up the building he caught the tail end of the vamp. Gritting his teeth he forced himself to focus and continue. The quick way he clawed his way up the building was the only reason he was still following him. This vampire was fast, but Calec could keep up with him. He nearly missed the turn Percival took and lost a second or two as he skidded to a halt and twisted, changing his direction.

Auransky"I'll help where I can," said Lupin. "I can at least help move crates without having to know too many things about the layout of the shop yet." He walked along, bare feet now covered in a pair of loose fitting sandals that he had seemed to have, despite having no bags to carry them in. The fallen angel didn't intend to explain if asked. "I'm sure I can deal with even the most ridiculous person. Though from how it sounds, I will have that statement tested today."

(I'm not really sure what to do with Patrick...) AuranskyPatrick was also awake early and was already ready for the day. He really didn't want to bother the group that he had been with the other day, but he wanted to know what had happened with the gem experiment. Grabbing a few things he needed, he headed out of his house and back down the same path he took last night. He was surprised that there were no knights on duty right now. After some time, he finally arrived at their place again, knocking on the door. - 𝚜𝚙𝚊𝚛𝚔𝚜𝚌𝚊𝚝𝚝𝚎𝚛The Queen stopped and opened the door once again, staring at Arai. She held out her hand, dipping her head slightly in greeting. "Thank you," she said.

"I was told you would want to read it as soon as possible." he bowed and handed her the letter. Arai had gotten the rundown of what was in it, though he hadn't looked at the letter personally. The knight hesitated by the door to see if he would have any orders for him after reading it. There was a lot there and he would be more than happy to assist.

𝚜𝚙𝚊𝚛𝚔𝚜𝚌𝚊𝚝𝚝𝚎𝚛 Mary took the letter from him and opened it, beginning to read the news she had received. A frown tugged at her lips as she barely lowered the paper, glancing at Arai. "Well of course the logical thing to do is to find who stole these gems and retrieve them, locking the thieves in prison. I would still like the mines to be heavily guarded, as well as them looking for any suspicious individuals in town," she said that slowly, thinking out loud.

No need to rush :3)
Arai nodded, agreeing with her actions. He stayed silent to let her think and continued to wait for directions. He could talk to the other knights about watching the mines. Finding the thieves though would be harder. He could always fly around and look, but that would have to be on his own time. There were already enough people who had learned what he was.

He nearly missed the turn Percival took and lost a second or two as he skidded to a halt and twisted, changing his direction. So, that was how it was. Percival would have to use a little more surprises then. At a full sprint, as fast as he could possibly go over the rooftops he ran at the next building. If Calec was trying to predict his movements, he would think that the vampire was going to hop onto the next roof. Instead, Percival just continued forward, right of the edge of the building. He crashed through a window and didn't stop, even as he ran through someone's living room. He continued onward, falling through the window on the other side and careening onto the street. He dodged pedestrians easily, taking the round-about way to his next destination. He didn't say on the streets long. He'd just lose time that way and gain attention. Another few steps placed him on a bridge and without a second thought he dived off of it, into the water.

Calec didn't go busting through any windows, opting to follow him through the roof. As the vampire hit the streets he had to follow him from the rooftops. Finally the vampire jumped into the water. Calec landed on the bridge, refusing to touch the water. He wasn't a big fan. Growling softly to himself he tried to find Percival in the dark water. It was going to be impossible, especially during the night. Eyes narrowing irritably he considered jumping in after him. Losing a hunt was rare for him and Calec didn't want to start now.

Finding the thieves though would be harder. He could always fly around and look, but that would have to be on his own time. There were already enough people who had learned what he was. "I would suggest putting the city in a complete lock down- shutting down our borders completely, no trading with other kingdoms. Then we can do a search and seizure of any citizen's homes needed to be searched." After a moment of suggesting that, she shook her head. "The kingdom might revolt if we did that. Simply get knights to stand guard of the mines 24/7, but also have a few around town for now."

"Yes, my queen." Arai bowed once more before straightening "I'll talk to the head knight and see what I can do about getting a guard set up. We will do everything in our power to catch them." and with that he turned to leave. He would first head to the training grounds where the head would be, then go wherever he was needed.

𝚜𝚙𝚊𝚛𝚔𝚜𝚌𝚊𝚝𝚝𝚎𝚛Percival didn't mind the water to much. It was going to ruine his clothes, but the smoke from the fire had already done that. It wouldn't be the first time that had happened. Not being able to breathe was a blessing in this case. He swam to the deepest part of the river, not knowing Calec had stopped at the bridge. He thought as he did this, on whether he should swim upstream, which would be slow but he might have better chance to loose the demon or downstream and hope to outpace Calec. He chose upstream, keeping to the deep part of the water so he wouldn't be seen from above. Calec would probably have to enter the water before he would see the vampire.

Calec grumbled and finally jumped into the water. The cold water hit him like a carriage. Opening his eyes he spun around and tried to spot the vampire. Finally having enough he clawed his way to the surface and crawled out of the water. He looked a lot like a wet cat. His normally messy hair was pressed to his head and he was obviously pissed. At least he had seen the vampire. Or what he thought was the vampire. He shook the stray drops of water off himself and ran upstream. This chase had nearly reached the point he was ready to just leave it be. Forcing him into the water was a jerk move.

(Wet cat Calec is a very interesting image in my head. xD ) Percival had picked up the splash and cursed silently in his head. The demon was probably following now. He'd just have to keep ahead then. Not knowing that the demon was following on the service, Percival continued using the river to move. As he did this, he tried to think of what other moves he could use to evade Calec both in and out of the river. He had no idea where this river went to, and he probably should stay within the town limits. It would be a bad idea if he left the sight of the town's people. He'd died once already. He didn't want to make a habit of dying again.

Haha yeah, poor cat-demon XD)
Calec ran along the river side, waiting for the vampire to surface. He knew that Percival would have to get air at some point. From what he could tell the river was pretty much straight, with no branches or twists. He had the upper hand here, unless the vampire turned and started the other way. The wet clothes sticking to him were uncomfortable and he wanted to get something dry on. Guess he had to catch the vampire sooner than later.

Percival would probably service because of boredom before he serviced for air. Not unless he wasn't to scream at the fishes. He looked back the way he had come every couple of seconds, trying to see if he could spot the demon. But it was to dark even to see his own kicking feet. He'd be lucky to find out which direction was up. He started to debate which side of the river bank he should head for. As soon as he exited the water, Calec would be able to see him. Unless he didn't realize he'd left the water... That was an interesting thought. But he'd have to get closer to the service to tell. Slowly, Percival started to rise. He moved as little as possible without being swept back the way he had come by the current. Light from the moon filtered down and as soon as the vampire could tell where it was, he grinned again. He began swimming against the current again. All he would have to do would be to wait for another bridge to block out the light, and he'd have a good chance of getting away.

Cale picked up his pace as a bridge grew near. He sprinted ahead of where he guessed the vampire was and skidded to a half on the bridge. His eyes focused on the moving water. There was nothing there, yet. Other than the off branch or leaf he couldn't see another living thing, but Percival would probably come this way.

He was right above him! Had he seen the vampire yet? Percival drifted deeper into the shadow of the bridge. So... his plan wasn't going to work so well. Not if the demon was right in the middle of the bridge. He must have realized that Percival had traveled upstream. Biting his lip, he quickly thought, If he saw me, I'm trapped. All he has to do is jump of that bridge and he's blocked my easiest escape root...but... If he does... That might just work!
