Auransky broken What have I walked into? wondered Lupin as they started dodging around what they would have said if he hadn't been here. He collapsed into the couch that Patrick had just left, his own hands the only thing keeping his head up. "It takes a lot to convince me of things these days," he said to Lyle, to tired to really care that he was hinting at his past. "I'm noncommittal at best." He looked up, looking through his fingers at the boy. "Plus, the temptation not to sleep in some noisy boarding house was what got me." He half grinned. He also added, since the boy seemed worried. "And don't worry. From what I've seen of your friends, they aren't just going to leave you with no protection."

𝚜𝚙𝚊𝚛𝚔𝚜𝚌𝚊𝚝𝚝𝚎𝚛Percival considered the question. "Not sure what I'd do. But I have a feeling it would be interesting to see what you would do if I refused and followed you anyway. And," he held up a finger to note an extra point. "If I do decide to leave, how do you know I'm not secretly following you? So in the end, I could just turn around, walk away, and you would never know if I was following." He meant it when he said 'never'. The vampire wasn't easy to find when he didn't want to be seen. Sorry for the major poof. Work hours got extended. I haven't had the chance to read through the other replies. Have you moved Percival or are we still on the same line?)

Lyle leaned up in interest, "Glen made food? Oh-that knight is full of surprises..." Lyle noted. " but !maybe he went out looking for us? " he now couldn't help but wonder. He was going to suggest they go look for him, but he suddenly shook his head against the idea. "Glen should be fknd, we'll wait here -the days been terrifying emough." Lyle then shifted his attention towards Lupin, "noisy sometimes beats silence. It just depends on how you perceive it." He softly stated. " but yes you'll surely feel better after a good night's rest here. Here at this place in this home, there exists a feeling of welcome. " he smiled at the thought. "Its !much different from what I'm used too." mintedstar/fur broken𝚜𝚙𝚊𝚛𝚔𝚜𝚌𝚊𝚝𝚝𝚎𝚛(Glad to hear from ya ^.^ )

Auransky mintedstar/fur "Yes, he might have gone into work or something, too," Patrick said, beginning to get a few plates out for them. Then, he began dishing out the food, placing some on all the plates. Once he was done, he placed the lid back on the pot and carried the plates back towards the living room. He seemed to flash Lyle a warning glance, though. The last comment he made might raise suspicion. "Here you guys go." He said, handing each of them some food before taking a seat again.

Lupin was purposely oblivious. He didn't question anything said, though his mind was still buzzing with theories and unsaid questions. He still kept his head down, buried in his hands. He was very tired and wasn't at all hungry, even though it smelled like this Glen could cook rather well. He still felt something should be said... He set the foot he had been given in his lap, looking down at it, not really sure what to do. "Thank you," he finally said, realizing he hadn't said anything to Patrick. He lazily played with a strand of his long hair. He was almost to tired to even need to keep his hands busy. "If I fall asleep here," he said with some amusement. "I am very sorry." broken Auransky

broken mintedstar/fur Lyle glimpsed away, "Work on such a nice day like this?" He shrugged, "But then again with everything we just encountered, I wouldn't be surprised to hear of people whispering to the local authorities." He rested his head against his knees now. He shivered at the warning glance, keeping quiet on the last comment he made. "Thank you Patrcik!" Lyle smiled as he took a plate. "But I am certain he is fine-maybe impatient that no one returned but fine." He assured himself. Coire leaned into the room, his arms crossed as he let out a rather hefty sigh. "Yea, Glen probably grew impatient. He's not one to sit around. But that's good for us-he beat us all to the punch. I'd say we give him time, and just relax for now. At the same time,we can ask Glen if he's seen anything out here while we were gone. I mean with everything that happened today, I wouldn't be surrpised to see roaming knights out here at this point.." He chuckled lightly at Lupin, "Relax-if you fallasleep there it's fine. Give me a few minutes to prep the other room just in case." He stated, then rushed off.

Auransky mintedstar/furPatrick nodded to both of them. "You both are very welcome," he muttered, then stared down at his own plate of food with a sigh. He was tired himself, mostly from freaking out about loosing the prince. Then the information he gathered about the demon... He looked up when Coire leaned in. He chuckled softly, nodding in agreement. "Yes, that's right. He'll probably be back a little later or something. We shouldn't worry about him, he can take care of himself." He scooted closer toward one arm of the couch, pushing the food around on his plate with a fork. "How many spare bedroom do you have? I could always sleep on one of the couches if needed, or you could kick me out and I could head back to my place."

"I have two spare rooms!" Coire called out from down the hall. " the one you were uaimg, and K-Kyle was in the living quarters last night! So either we shift around, you go home, or whatever works best is fine by me! " Coire called out. "I can sleep on the couch. It was rather comfortable." Lyle suggested. "I also fimd it best for lupin to find comforts on a bed tonight. He is a traveler, and even if for one night I am certain that a proper good night's rest would make anyone feel better." (Your call here. Should patrick head back we can have a forest engagement with a set of knights on tighter patrol then usual) broken

"Doesn't matter to me," was the sleepy mumble. "I'm already asleep where I am anyway." Lupin had eaten, even though his stomach wasn't really up to it. It would have been bad manners if he hadn't. He was now trying to keep his eyes open even as his head nodded every now and again as he realized he had drifted off.

(Oh uh it doesn't really matter to me. I guess he'll go for now.)
Patrick had eaten a bit, looking up with a shrug. "I think I'll give the both of you," he nodded towards Lyle and Lupin (though he was already asleep), "the beds. I'll probably be going anyway, I think I've overstayed my stay. Thank you for letting me stay here last night," he said, standing up and heading into the kitchen to put his plate away. He returned a moment later, smiling at Coire. "I'll come back and visit soon! And L -- Kyle, keep in touch, okay?" He began for the door.

Ok, thanks :3)
Calec snorted "I think you would find me a lot harder to track. If you could follow me I would be more impressed than irritated. Though after that of course I would have to kill you. Just covering my tracks you know." demons were hard to follow, much like vampires. They were both creatures of darkness in a sort.

𝚜𝚙𝚊𝚛𝚔𝚜𝚌𝚊𝚝𝚝𝚎𝚛Percival seemed to still be staying at in a constant state of amusement. "Oh, I like a challenge like that. As I said, I'm deadly bored and might just try. Having the threat of death hanging if I do isn't unusual." He held out his arms. "And look. I'm still alive. So you can try." He eyes widened again. He seemed to do that instead of narrowing them, like wide eyes conveyed his feeling of seriousness more than other options. "Now, you've just admitted that you are worth following, though I knew that already. Why? Lets cut to the heart of the matter... What are you?"

Calec smirked "Picked up on it eh? I bet it's safe to assume that you aren't exactly normal either." the way this man talked Calec figured that he wasn't someone to easily trifle with, but he knew that his skill was close to or even better than him. In the end he hadn't figured out what Percival was. "I know you aren't something holy, i'd pick up on that. But something else..."

𝚜𝚙𝚊𝚛𝚔𝚜𝚌𝚊𝚝𝚝𝚎𝚛His suspicions confirmed, the vampire was suddenly aware that his bravado was going to get him killed one of these days. That didn't bother him to much, actually. He was over confidant and was well aware of that fact. But he hadn't had this much fun in years. Percival leaned forward a little, smirk growing on his face. "I'll tell if you will." If he could tell whether someone was holy or not, that didn't leave many options, but he wanted to see this through. He had no problem with risking this whim he had had. (Tom's getting a run for his money in the reckless department. )

"I could, but there's no way to know that I'm telling the truth. Are you sure you want to risk it? There's also no way I can know if you are truthful. I propose you prove yours, and I in turn will tell you." this game had ended up being much more interesting than anything he had done with the prince. Calec leaned forwards as well, they were almost nose to nose. He wasn't going to back down. To have fun, you had to play the game. He could have left long ago, but that wouldn't be playing.

𝚜𝚙𝚊𝚛𝚔𝚜𝚌𝚊𝚝𝚝𝚎𝚛"I'm willing to risk it," said Percival. "Because if I end up finding out you were lying then it will be even more interesting, now wont it? You seem the type to enjoy a challenge, so the same goes for me as well, if I end up lying. However..." He seemed to ignore the proximity of the demon to him. "If you really want to play that way, then I can show you a thing or two. But to trade me showing for you telling... now, doesn't that seem a little unfair?"

The vampire shrugged, then nodded. "Alright then." He reached up with one of his hands and took off one of the gloves that hid his long fingers and hand. Percival looked up at the waning sunlight. Oh, it would probably do... He stuck his uncovered hand out of the shadows that he was standing in, not moving his eyes away from Calec. Pain started to grow, sending flares off in his head, but he kept the same expression. His hand should start smoking right about...now. He looked at the demon for a reaction, carefully raising an eyebrow. He took his hand out of the ray of sunlight and very gently put the glove back on, ignoring the scent of burnt flesh. He smiled expectantly, arching his eyebrow as high as it would go. "Need another demonstration?"

"A vamp ey? Don't see many of your kind around during the day. It's a treat." Vamps, in his experience, we're fun and entertaining. Always up for a good fight or some kind of challenge. Not only that, they could usually keep up with demons like himself. "You kept up your half..." he made sure no one was around then snapped his finger. Two horns grew from his head, his hands shifted to claws, and a tail sprouted from his back. He waited fro the vampire to get a good look, even throwing in a spin for good measure, before shifting back.

"Oh, I'm just that special," the Viscount said, smirking. "And considering the sun is setting...Well, I had business to attend to at this time. Good thing I did." He looked Calec up and down, uninjured hand lightly touching his chin. "You like to show off almost as much as I do," he stated. "But much as I expected after that comment about me not being something holy." He had wanted a challenge, now hadn't he? Wish was granted. "Oh, but this still raises so many questions. What would a demon want with that boy? You'd think you could find more interesting playthings to entertain you."

"If only you knew..." Calec sighed, shooting Percival a knowing grin "That boy, is much more interesting than you'd think at first glance." his grin only grew more sly as he said "My offer still stands. Give me something of equal worth and I'll tell you what I know. Nothing less though, as I don't necessarily want to part with it." he was referring to their original reason for talking before it went off on the tangent.

"Oh?" said Percival, keeping his eyebrow raised. "What would you consider of equal worth? Not like I have anything worth much other than my title. And though it would be amusing to have a demon Viscount within the line of nobles, I doubt you'd find it very...interesting. It's dead boring, in fact." Percival wasn't going to trade a thing. But if he had an idea how much the information was worth that would give him some ideas, would it? He had to admit, tangent or not, it had given him some needed information, whether Calec was aware of that or not.

Calec shrugged "Well, I did give some free info just now. But if you don't think it's worth your time then I won't bother." the slight slip of his tongue had given the vamp some information, vague information. But Percival was obviously smart enough, and driven enough, to find out who he was following. If he was interested.

𝚜𝚙𝚊𝚛𝚔𝚜𝚌𝚊𝚝𝚝𝚎𝚛 "Oh, but what do you want?" said Percival. "Because I do think it is worth my time." He was waiting, looking for as much information as he could. No way was he just going to accept an offer without knowing what he was promising first. His hand had fully healed by this point and he put both of his hands behind his back. Who was important enough to be worth making deals with demons?

"Hmm... I don't have a blaring need for anything material." his eyes lit up "But I always need information. Do you know a noble with the last name Ashyl?" this noble owed him a great deal, but Calec was never able to find a weak spot. They were smart and while Calec hated to admit it, he was finding it hard to get rid of them. They refused to give back what they owed. He had made a deal with their grandfather when he was still human and it had never gone through.

But he wasn't going to call that out. Instead he nodded standing up, before his new friend left, "Right, we'll see you later, and do be careful With everything we've encountered so far, and it being nightfall who knows what you might encounter." coire returned to the room, "Lupin, feel free to head off to bed when you're at that point. I think that's what everyone needs right now." He raised a brow turning towards the others, "Patrick will you be okay out there-right now?" He asked in worry, he then looked away shaking his head, "You seem to be the last person around here to attract trouble, so I'm certain you'll be fine." He assured himself shortly after. He approached the door leaning on the side, "Be safe, okay?" ((We'll add the knight encounter on the next post-))

Auransky(Alright, I'll rp the Queen once they get closer to the castle.) Patrick opened the door and paused for a moment, looking back at his friend's. He waved to them with a smile. "Yep do t worry about me, I'll be fine! I'll come back and visit in a few days time," he said, then walked out, closing the door behind him. The teenager then let out a sigh, leaning against the closed door for a moment as he looked out into the forest. He felt kind of bad now for just leaving Coire to deal with the new visitor and the prince, but he really couldn't do anything now. He straightened up, looking both ways before heading away from the house and down the path, towards his own place which was a little further away. To get back to his place, he actually had to pass the mines that they snuck into the other day...

broken Near the mines there was quite a bit of movements of knights in the nearby surroundings. Through the silent night, the sound of movement in the nearby distances were easily noticeable. The clanking of metal, as marching occurred in uni-cone. For a supposed silent stroll in the woods, the woods themselves appeared more lively. A small unit consisting of four marched through the woods, whispering to one another of their annoyances for being here. They obviously really didn't want to be here. 𝚜𝚙𝚊𝚛𝚔𝚜𝚌𝚊𝚝𝚝𝚎𝚛((Arai made it to the castle gate. After that you jumped over with Calec and the town horror xD))
