Skylar shook her head. "I don't agree to the first two unless you plan on doing it as well. And you can just forget about the third one. The master raised me to never leave a comrade behind, no matter how bad the situation might be. So if you're in trouble, expect me to be charging in to save your sorry butt." She looked up at him, obviously not backing down. "We're in this to the end, whether you like it or not."

Susanna and kit trailed behind, following the voices of Nate and Skylar. "They sure do talk a lot..." Kit murmured to Susanna. Susanna just smiled as she glanced over at the perky, sarcastic, red flying cat.

Skylar had been about to respond to him, when he suddenly stopped. She stopped as well, looking back. "What?" Her eyes then widened. "Susanna?!" Why in the world would the two of them follow? Kit she could understand, but Susanna? Roxy was going to kill them for letting her get this far. They should have been paying closer attention for the possibility of someone following them.

Oh... My school won ours..)
Both Susanna and Kit stopped in their tracks immediately with wide gazes full of frightened fear. "I think we've been caught..." Kit whispered to Susanna. "Quick! Run!" He then dashed off into the forest on his swift, feathery wings.
Susanna however, was frozen with fear and couldn't follow Kit so she just stood there. Clenching her hands close to her chest as she dare not look anyone in the eye when they come close to her. "How?..." Her mind was racing with wild and unkind thoughts of punishment that she may be forced to do now. "This was all Kit's idea..."

Susanna looked up at Nate after he asked her that question. She then glanced around uncomfortably from tree to tree as she tried to come up with a good response. "Umm..... I-... I was just-" but suddenly, she was cut off by Kit slamming his chest and paws into Nate's shoulder.
"Nate! I found you! Me and Susanna here were just playing an innocent game of hide and seek." Kit chuckled. "You're it now." He didn't know why Susanna didn't run with him before, but if she had the courage now, this was her chance.
Susanna just stood their in shock and a slight ping of fear still clung to her stomach.

Skylar moved over to Susanna, kneeling in front of her and taking hold of her shoulders gently. "Susanna. You shouldn't have followed us. It's much too dangerous for you to be sneaking around like that." It was obvious from her tone of voice and the look in her eye that she wasn't mad at Susanna. Only worried. The young girl was having trouble with her magic. She shouldn't have followed them like this. There was no way they could send them back on their own either. She glanced up at Nate, knowing he would be thinking the same thing as her. "We can't send them back. We'll have to bring them. I'll agree to your rules because I need to take care of Susanna."

Susanna shot one of her hands up to her face to cover her eyes as tears began to brim over the corners of her blue gaze. "I'm.. so sorry.. " She whispered with a trembling, small voice to Skylar as the tears made a shimmering trail down her cheeks. "I promise I will never to it again...."
Kit stared a Susanna for moment, then back up to Nate. "So now I get to come with you. You always try to leave me behind. I'm starting to think you don't like me anymore, Nate."

No, their guild hall is abandoned and the Paradise Birds have already looked around the place. They haven't been able to find any clues, but they didn't check the basement. Maybe they can all find a clue that leads to the desert?)

Skylar reached up to brush away Susanna's tears. "Just be more careful next time. We're doing something very dangerous." She then pulled her into a gentle hug. "Don't worry. We'll keep you safe." She looked up at Nate and nodded. "Good idea." She pulled out of the hug with Susanna and slipped her bag off her shoulders. She started to pull out some food. "Here we go. Cheese and crackers. I would prepare something more, but we don't have time."

Sorry guys, I might be a little distracted. Hey, what do ya'll say to the invasion happening tomorrow?)
Susanna wiped away her tears for only more to take their place in sliding down her flushed cheeks. "Thank you.." She whispered, but she couldn't eat. She was too upset and her stomach still had a weird, unsettling feeling weighing down on it. "But I can't eat right now.."

Skylar ate a couple of crackers with cheese between them. She patted Susanna's hand gently. "Don't worry. When you feel better you can eat." She smiled at her softly. Her motherly side was showing with the younger girl. It was probably a good thing she was there. If anyone tried to hurt her, Skylar would go mama bear all over them. Nate would probably have to hold her back at that point.

"Okay." Susanna sighed as her round, innocent blue gaze fell to the ground again. Her stomach started to fell better and actually made a small growl. She then giggled in response. "I guess I am a little hungry."

Skylar smiled softly. "Alright." She put together some cheese between two crackers, then handed it to the younger girl. "Here. Eat all you want. I've got plenty." She took another bite of her own and looked up at Nate. "We should get moving soon. I have a feeling that the master will be a lot more aware of Susanna's absence than ours."

Susanna gingerly too the cracker sandwich and munched a bite from it, looking up at Skylar and Nate. "I'm ready." he than got up and brushed off the dirt from her black mini skirt.
"Lets go!" Kit had already finished his fish.
