Brokenleap sighed. "Yes, I know she wouldn't have wanted to leave them, especially right as soon as they where born." He then thought of something. "Perhaps I should spend time with them from time to time, it'll help the queens out as well since four additional kits are going to be a pawful for them."

Stormpaw blinked for a moment before bristling "Hey!! No cheating!" he yowled out after her, immediately taking off to race her. Despite the situation, he felt a grin stretch across his face as his paws rhythmically pound against the earth as he gained ground.

Snowtiger looked at the two young apprentices, hating to give them such bad news. "There was a complication during Moonpelt's kitting," he said softly laying his tail comfortingly across the two apprentices backs. "You have 4 new siblings, but your mother unfortunately didn't make it."

"What? What ! No!! This can't.. She told me... Mom!!" Foxpaw yowled running out of the den Featherpaw dragged herself sadly across the ground no this can't be happening. I wish I hadn't broke my back then I could run like Foxpaw
Lostfang nodded " you could give some of your advice to Featherpaw because of your uh injuries " he tried to put it softly
Dewstorm heard the crunching of leaves uunder her feet the wind against her face and whiskers. She heard Strom paw and slowed herself done to his pace and looked him in the eyes then she smiled and speed ahead agian

Snowtiger understood the pain the apprentices must be feeling. He had lost his own mother not to much older than them and his father recently. He gently picked up the young apprentice like the kit she almost still was and followed after Foxpaw.

Stormpaw let a grin cross his face as he met Dewstorm's gaze and sped up once more as he raced after her. He weaved swiftly around a pile of bramble and tried to keep up with the newly made warrior.

Nodding, Brokenleap had to admit it made since, though he kinda understood why he was a bit reluctant to bring up his leg. "Featherpaw has it worse off than me, but your right, perhaps I might be able to help her a little." He then sighed. "Seriously though, you don't have to tiptoe around my injury, I'm not offended when others bring it up," he added softly.

Borkenleap watched the cats from a respectful distance, his eyes closed as he thought of the gentle queen. He opened them up briefly and gazed at Featherpaw, his gaze filled with sympathy for the young apprentice. I'll have to talk to her later, he told himself softly.

Stormpaw padded up to Geldenflame and waited patiently until she acknowledged him. He didn't want to interrupt her meal so he sat down, wrapping his tal over his paws
