Not you saying you're as lazy as Ashcloud when you do all this stuff! The plot sounds great ^^
I'll be having some more time this weekend to get to those relationship forms!

Since both clans have one deputy but not a second (and I've heard nothing from the person who was going to make the second for Mossclan), I want to test run this clan voting system. First, I want to create a small pool of characters to vote for based on a few small requirements and those interested in actually having a character made deputy. From there I'll sort out how voting works so that it's fair regardless of how many characters someone has. I'm wondering, though, if you guys would rather pick one character from your own characters to add to the pool or if the options should be chosen by me. I was leaning towards the former since I want this to be your guys' choice, but I understand if it would be more comfortable for everyone if I just picked out characters to vote for and then let ya'll take it from there. I was also considering to help with the former option, I could list out everyone and their characters that fit the requirements and they can pick at that time but again, Im really looking for everyone's feedback on what would be the easiest. This isn't going to be anything that'll happen often so it might not hurt for it to be a little more complicated. Let me know what you guys think
As for the requirements for the deputy pool/vote, I'm thinking; - Must be 30 Moons or Older (unless options are super limited)
- Must have Mentored or are Mentoring an apprentice, It can just be implied that the character has mentored someone in the past (but try to work out an apprentice eventually).
- The same Roleplayer cannot play both deputies in a clan, they also cannot be playing the current leader.

Regarding Voting, I wanted to make sure everyone has the same impact when voting while also being able to address the differing opinions of their characters. As such, everyone will get the same number of votes regardless of the number of characters they have, the number provided can be split up among your characters and any extra votes can be regarded as "NPC" votes. Right now, I'm considering a set 4 votes per roleplayer. I think this gives a fair amount to divvy up among the voting pool without being so many that someone can stack the votes unfairly.
As an example I have 4 votes. The voting pool includes; Cat1, Cat2, Cat3, Cat4, and Cat5. I have three characters in total. My first character supports Cat1 due to a familial relationship so I give them one vote, my other two support Cat2 based on personal beliefs and merit so I give them two votes. That leaves me with one vote to do with as I please. Unlike my characters, I personally support Cat5 based on my own personal interest in them (whether it's thinking they'd be a good leader or the potential story telling) so I give my final vote to them under the guise of an NPC casting their vote.
Another example based on having more than four characters Again, I have 4 votes. The voting pool still includes; Cat1, Cat2, Cat3, Cat4, and Cat5. This time, I have eight characters. I decide that some of my characters share views, how I decide to split them up is my business but I will not have any free NPC votes. I decide that four of my characters support Cat1 for Various reasons, two support Cat2, and the last two support Cat3. All my characters have been split into 3 groups leaving me with one final vote, and because most of my cats are voting for Cat1, I put my final vote in Cat1 to accommodate the larger number of cats in that group. My final vote in this case is 2 votes for Cat1, 1 for Cat2, and 1 for Cat3.
Another thing to note is, if you find the voting too complicated with more characters, you can simply select up to four of your characters and make your votes based on them alone. It's also fine to put all four votes in a single character if you feel like all your characters would see them as the best for the job, however I HEAVILY discourage just dropping all your votes into your own cat as it can seem a bit callous and unfair to those who are genuinely considering the options.
I want to stress votes should be cast from your character's perspectives/who they specifically would want to vote for whether due to their personal feelings or a genuine belief that so-n-so would be the best. This also operates under the assumption that all cats are familiar with each other so be sure to factor that into your choices even if you haven't actively roleplayed with them. You SHOULDN'T vote based on you as the roleplayer's feelings (Unless you have an extra vote left over), aka no baselessly voting for only your own cat or something because you want to be deputy. I'll be trusting you guys not to vote unfairly and if things go awry I'll try to find other means to handle voting in the future, though it'd likely be a lot less fun and diverse.
This is ultimately just a base idea though and if you guys have other suggestions just lmk. I was thinking about just using a poll but I feel like that could get messy with unfair voting/multiple accounts or random people voting and might detracted from the story building aspect of having your characters get more of an individual choice.

Since I believe I already have a high position in Mossclan, I'm willing to have Wisteriaflower be a candidate for Galeclan! It could also make things interesting considering her connections with Lionfang!
I'm also going to 100% post today once I get home from work since I'm off work tomorrow!

Galeclan will likely follow the previously mentioned rules; - Must be 30 Moons or Older.
- Must have mentored an Apprentice, It can just be implied that the character has mentored someone in the past (but try to work out an apprentice eventually).
Mossclan will have adjusted rules that fit their lore; - Must be 20 Moons or Older.
- Must have mentored or are currently Mentoring an apprentice (due to the lower ages, younger warriors might not have fully mentored an apprentice after all so being in the process will ultimately be acceptable).
Regardless, Any roleplayer currently filling a Leader or Deputy position in either clan cannot be a candidate for deputy in another clan. Primarily because we wouldn't want to end up with the same person playing both clan leaders at any point. However, People playing Medicine Cats or Medicine Cat Apprentices are allowed to put a character in the running for deputy
Only Partially related but I've thrown together names for the now deceased Deputies, Robinflame of Galeclan and Ivysight of Mossclan, just so we have names to reference. For the rest of the Galeclan patrol that was killed, we can just refer to them as Snowtooth and Brindlestream. Ill mention this on the clan pages too for those who aren't actively checking here.

Little meow meow I’m thinking at some point making an NPC rogue for others to play with that’ll tie into Crowpaw’s backstory and maybe could work for a future plot line or something, would that be allow?
