Ivorystar nodded in agreement. Then, she leaped at the wing closet to her, the injured wing, and held it firmly so it couldn't move. "Snowpaw, get ready to attack the eagle!" She called over to the apprentices, not loosening her grip.

Stormheart ran and pounced onto the eagle's other wing and held it down firmly. "Now Snowpaw!," she yowled.

Snowpaw dashed forward and bit the neck of the eagle hard, biting down strongly until she heard a slight crack from the spine. She continued to hold the neck of the large bird, waiting for it to still, the tang of blood settling on her tongue.

Stormheart felt the eagle go limp and saw that its neck had been broken. "Well done Snowpaw!" The molly praised.

Snowpaw let go of the eagles neck, glad for the praise, though now her paws were pricking with longing for the peaceful forest when it was just her and Cloudedpaw. "Yes, good job Snowpaw." Ivorystar addedd.

Slatewing limped in to camp, her paw still sore from where the eagle had attacked it a while ago. Of course it had been checked out by the medicine cat but it was still tender, running across the snow hadn't helped. She didn't spot many cats in camp, but then again she'd been on border patrol all morning and had only just returned, after hunting on the way back. A bass was being carried back in her jaws, she'd caught it in a pool formed by the river, the bass had been sheltering there, probably protecting eggs but she had caught it without much difficulty, her thick grey fur had kept her warm even though, now dry, she was still a bit cold.
Depositing her catch on the fresh kill like she stretched her limbs, feeling her paw still bothering her. With a flash of annoyance she padded to the medicine den, hoping some herbs would make her feel a little less sore so she could go out again later.
" Hello?" She called as she stood at the entrance to the medicine den.

Hawkshade looked up as Slatewing limped towards the medicine den. He got up and arched his back in a stretch before padding over to the tunnels. "I can take over if you like. You've been guarding the tunnels since dawn." He insisted and the tom gave a nod of thanks before padding towards the warriors den. The cream colored tom sat down and wrapped his tail over his paws.
