I've been wanting to do a plot about two friends who decide to go on a roadtrip around the world together. They could get into some funny situations, maybe a few scary ones, or whatever. It doesn't have to be romance, but if you want romance I'm more than willing to deliver.
I ask that'd you be willing to type close to a paragraph per post. I loathe one liners. However I'd love it even more if you typed two to three paragraphs.

(Oh, what do you want to RP via? Thread or PM? I'm fine with either, thread is a little more efficient while PM lets us safely delve into more mature topics if need be. The choice is yours )

(I mean I don't think this is the kinda of rp that will need to go past the rules. xD Unless we take a very dark turn. We can do thread, and if we want to rp something past the rules we can just PM rp that.)

The wasn't even up when the alarm went off inside the large dark room. The alarm made it's annoying beeping noise before the small hand slammed down the button. A soft sigh went off before the sound of blankets hitting the floor went off. The woman these noises belonged to slowly stood up, and flicked the light switch on revealing her room filled with photos all over. The woman had a messy long light brown hair going on, and was currently wearing a black night gown. She was a smaller woman only standing around 5'2" in height, and overall one could say she had a petite body build. Blinking for a few moments to get her eyes adjusted to the new light in the room. Her light green eyes once adjusted found there way to the alarm clock. It was only 4:59 am into the day, but she had made a promise to get the road trip started early.
Upon finishing her shower, and morning ritual of getting ready she finally stopped looking like grude, and more like herself. Her hair was tied into a short, but bushy ponytail. She wore light makeup, but didn't feel the need to get gussied up for her best friend. She wore a white tee shirt with a black overshirt that was unbuttoned, and a pair of light blue jeans. She walked back into her room, and found her messenger bag that held all her important items for the day. However it wasn't a clothes bag she had that thrown into the RV she had rented for this road trip. She figured it was a good way to save on hotel rooms. The bag that she held now was filled with a camera, tripod, and many other items that helped her film, or take pictures.
Upon finishing up she reached the outside of her families' small house, and headed into the RV. She had to pick up her best friend still. This had been her big idea since she was going all the way to England for college. This was a way for them to have one more adventure, and most likely there last one together. Closing the door she got behind the wheel, and started up the large machine. Inside was like any kind of RV. A kitchen area, bathroom, and a bedroom in the far back. She got the big beast to move as she headed to her best friend's house where she hopped he'd be waiting outside for her.

It was part of what had made high school for the 18, almost 19 year old such a pain. But that was behind him now. He had been accepted into USC, and was planning on attending in the fall. He would be traveling from the small, chilly town of Blackwolf where he had lived all his life to the sunny Pacific coast. Talk about a change of scenery. There were things about the quaint town that he would miss though. Most of them were small, inconsequential, really. But the thing, or rather, the person he would miss the most was his best friend, Selena. It was hard to imagine a time when they hadn't been friends. The town's school system wasn't exactly expansive. There was a preschool, an elementary school, a middle school, a high school, and the local college. The two of them had been friends through all of it. But all of that had changed after they graduated from high school. Selena had decided to go away to a college in England, while he himself had chosen to leave the town as well. The chances of them seeing each other somewhat regularly, at least for the next 4 years, had dwindled somewhere close to 0. But then, Selena had suggested the roadtrip. Kyle had been a little skeptical at first. The money he had saved up from babysitting and summer jobs barely covered the costs of such a trip. But in the end, his adventure-loving side had won out, and he had readily agreed. Now, the young man was waiting outside his house, which was only two blocks down. It was still early summer, but with how early it was, the chill still penetrated without respite. He was dressed in a simple gray t-shirt with a black jacket thrown over, and a pair of jeans. Accompanying him were the three bags of clothes and other essentials that he was going to take with him. The teen let out a yawn as he ran a hand through his dark hair and peered through the darkness of early morning to see if there were any headlights heading his way. His dark blue eyes scanned the dark, silent street while his breath frosted from the chill.

Selena enjoyed the open road quite a lot, and even simple drives to her best friend Kyle's was always fun to her. Though she couldn't wait to get Kyle in here so she could force him to drive. She much preferred being a passenger so she could take pictures outside of the many sights. Filming, and shooting pictures were her passion. She even once forced all her friends to film a short movie that made her quite popular as the girl who made a real life version of South Park. She enjoyed that quite humor despite how she seemed to act like she was prim, and proper. She pulled up next to Kyle's house, and saw him waiting outside.
Getting up she walked out to the door, and opened it. "Are you readyyyyyy~?" She asked in a sing songy voice. She was wide awake, and in a good mood. Mainly because she would see so much of the United States in the coming year, and then she'd go to a whole new land to her for college next year. She was even hosting the ideal of staying in England forever. She jumped down off the little stepway, and jump hugged her bestfriend. "We are going have so many adventures this year!" She commented a big smile on her face as she let go of him.
(Sorry for short replies. I'll do better later in the rp. It takes me a few post to get good with rping new characters.)

(Don't worry about it! ^^ I'm not a stickler for post size. As long as it's not a one-liner and doesn't have text talk, I'm fine with anything really My posts tend to get shorter when there's dialogue anyhow xP) Kyle looked up as he saw headlights pierce the thick early morning fog. There was only person he could think of who would be driving these streets at this hour. Sure enough, the large RV soon came into view and he let out a small sigh of relief that he would soon be in something warmer. As the RV stopped and the door opened, he cracked a grin "Morning, Selena." He greeted, and then let out a small 'oof' as her body soon barreled right into him. He chuckled and returned the hug. "I don't know how you can be so chipper in the mornings!" He complained lightly, although secretly, he was just as eager as her to get this road trip started. "Wow, you really found a big RV." He commented, looking up at it. Eager to get warm, he grabbed his bags and made his way inside. He marveled at its design. The interior appeared to be even bigger than the outside. It would certainly be spacious enough to accommodate the two of them for an extended journey. "You really pulled all the stops on this one." He said jokingly as he looked around. He dropped the bags on the floor of the RV, grateful for the warm it provided, and the protection from the outside wind.

(Awesome, now I don't need to feel bad when I don't have the muse to type four paragraphs.) "The morning bird catches the worm~" Selena simply responded with a smile on her face as she followed him into the RV. "Well I made a bit of money from that small film I made." She stated though she also had help from her parents who gave her this help because of how good she had done throughout her whole college. You don't just get into Oxford University. She had kept her gpa at a constant 4.0 her whole student life. "I made sure it would be as big as a motel room." She added which she did somehow end up getting right. The only difference being instead of two beds there was a bed, and a couch.
"Man, so now the difficult part of figuring out where to first." Selena commented as she plopped down on the couch taking out her laptop. She had also bought a small usb that would work like a phone's data so she could have internet. "Any ideas?" She questioned raising an eyebrow at Kyle. She had no preference where they went, all she knew was her main goal was to hit Florida at some point. She wanted to rent a boat, and see if she could see her favorite creature, a great white shark in person. She doubted it would happen, but it would be fun to just attempt it.

(Yeah don't sweat it xD)
"Well, you certainly outdid yourself here." Kyle praised her as he looked around the setup. His eyes fell upon the sleeping arrangement, and he smirked playfully. "Dibs on the bed." He claimed teasingly, although he didn't really mind. In fact, he wouldn't even mind sharing the bed, seeing as she'd slept over many times before, and it was nothing new for either of them. He closed the RV door behind them to keep out the wind and sat down beside her. "For starters, I want to get out of the cold." He said with a grin. "Why don't we get out of Wisconsin first. We can head south down towards Illinois and make our way to the east coast." He suggested.
"We can make our way down the east coast, hit Florida, and then head for the Southwest. After all, I'm not gonna miss out on the opportunity to see you get eaten by a shark." He joked. He knew about what she mainly wanted to do, so he had counted that in. "We can continue along the Southwest until we hit California, so you can see my college before you head out, and then loop back around through the Midwest to get home. Sound like a plan?"

Selena had no complaints on him taking the bed, she planned on taking the couch anyways. Mainly because she would be up late messing around with the many pictures she planned on taking. "Oh yes Illinois!" She commented with a smile she had always wanted to go to Chicago for a Chicago style pizza at Chicago. When he joked about the shark eating her she scoffed a bit playfully. "No shark is going to eat me! I don't taste good." She replied then got into a sneaking position as she slowly approached Kyle. "Though you might be just their style!" She commented as she poked the back of his head before returning back to the couch.
"Sounds good to me, I get to see what kind of girls you're going to be messing around with~" Selena teased as she reached into her pocket, and took out the key. "Oh yea, and here. Since I bought this bad boy you have to drive it! At least for now." She stated as she tossed the key at him. "You know I need my pictures." She added as she took her main camera out of her bag, and placed the strap around her neck so the device would hang from her. "My twitter followers need me!" She spoke, and made a fist in determination. She tended to post most of her pictures on twitter, and had grown quite a fanbase. "So let's get going~"

"Great, I've been reduced to a main course." Kyle joked with her. He was fond of water. He had been on the high school swim team, and on vacations, often went surfing or scuba diving. Anything water related was good news for him. Well, except for sharks of course. He had no wish to have his leg chewed off. He rolled his eyes playfully as she tossed him the key. "Figures, I agreed to this trip to be the driver." He quipped. "Alright princess, I'll drive first." He agreed readily. Besides, he liked her pictures, and he was interested to see what she would come up with on this trip.
He made his way to the front of the RV and swung into the driver's seat, starting up the gas. As the vehicle rumbled to life underneath them, he called back "Don't get too preoccupied. I need you to navigate." He then hit the gas and began their trip out of the city. The streets were eerily still as they drove through. It was only 5 AM after all. They were able to quickly make it out on the main road. "I'm gonna stop at a gas station first." He told her as he focused on navigating the quiet streets. He was slightly aware that it was just the two of them, for the first time in a long while. It didn't bother him. They had dated for about half an year back in sophomore year, but had decided to stay friends. It hadn't affected their friendship in the least, and was little more than a fond memory.

Selena watched as he began to drive, and stayed on her laptop for a bit as she made a small map of where they'd all be heading. "I'll navigate us right into Canada!" She joked as she stood up, and walked to the front section where the driving would take place. She sat down on the passenger side, and turned on her camera as she looked out the window, and snapped a quick picture of the foggy empty streets of the town. This was the start of a grand adventure, and most likely their last. So she was going to document most of it from pictures while driving to video of them exploring any abandoned buildings. She didn't plan on this being a quick adventure they'd end up spending weeks in one spot if they were interested enough. They delayed college a whole year for this, and she was going to make it worth it. She had a big list of side places she wanted to visit from the scariest places in the United States to the best pizza places in the world all listed in a notebook that was located in her bag.
"Gas stations are fun, might as well get are first one outta of like thousand out of the way." Selena commented with a smile as she stared out the window. She hadn't really explored the United States of America outside of their home town mainly because her family liked to go to their home country when vacations hit. That being a mix of Chile, and Italy. Her mother being of hispanic descent, and her father being Italian. Which made her one nightmare of a girl when she got mad. So she knew a lot about those two countries, but not much of her own homeland so she was hoping to change that before she left again. "I always love getting pictures of people at gas stations." She laughed her main pictures tended to be of landscapes, but sometimes she'd post pictures of people in general.
Them being alone didn't really bother Selena, as they did date. She had chosen to end it though as she wasn't ready to be with someone. She didn't want to end up one of the girls with a child at twenty, or in fact she didn't want to even be married til she was at least thirty. She wanted her youth to be spent exploring, and so she hadn't wanted to have a boyfriend. In fact Kyle was the only guy who could call themselves her ex-boyfriend since after him she never had a boyfriend. She didn't really get around either in fact romance was something she avoided most of the time. Though during senior year there was one person on the same tier as Kyle as Selena had chosen to date a girl for most of her senior year. That had ended a few months ago for the same reason she broke up with Kyle. She enjoyed freedom, and felt like you lost it when you gave someone the label of lover.

"With your navigation skills we'll probably end up in Alaska first." Kyle joked right back, and then blinked when he realized he had never included said state in the plans. Oh well, you couldn't make everywhere. Besides, there was always time after their trip around the mainland USA ended. The town was small, and a few minutes later, they had arrived at the gas station. Kyle pulled up to a pump, and turned off the gas. "Don't go too far." He told her rather sternly, as he knew she had a tendency to...well, wander.
He turned to the pump and connected it. Once the gas was flowing, he looked around. The sky was starting to lighten faintly now. The sun wasn't up just yet, but the sky was no longer pitch black, and was more of a dark, cool blue. Soon, dawn would erupt, casting out the fog and bringing some respite from the cold. The gas station was deserted apart from them. No one else was at the pumps, and even the 24 hour convenience store was pretty dark, with only a single light on at the desk. It was a pretty still morning.
A harsh caw broke him out of his early morning daze as a large crow swooped down to land on top of the pump. It paused to glare balefully down at him, as if he had personally wronged it, before it cawed again and took flight. The small Wisconsin town had much in the way of wildlife, especially being situated so close to a forest, that this was nothing new to Kyle. He and Selena had often explored in the woods, even as teenagers. A small click told him that the pump was done. He withdrew it and paid. "We're ready over here!" He called to Selena.
While he enjoyed exploring just as much as Selena, Kyle was pretty much a polar opposite when it came to love lives. Good looks and an open personality had made him popular in high school, and he had dated extensively. Even as a freshman, he had dated 2 girls in his class. After breaking up with Serena in sophomore year, he had dated a cute freshman for the rest of Sophomore year. That hadn't lasted very long. Soon after Junior year started, a Sophomore from another school had caught his eye. After that had been a Junior and another Sophomore, and as a senior, he had dated 2 Seniors and a Junior. He was pretty open when it came to dating. It was his own idea of freedom. And he never really got too attached, except for Selena, who he was already good friends with.

When the RV came to a stop Selena took little time at all to get outside. Sure they weren't in a new place just yet, but pictures could be found anywhere. Even in their home town she could always find new, and interesting pictures. "I won't~" She responded with as she left Kyle to do the boring stuff while she entered the empty gas station with only one worker inside at the moment. The store was pretty small inside like most gas stations in a small town. They didn't seem to have much reason to get a bigger gas station when a wal mart was too far away if you needed something. Entering the gas station's store she noticed the worker had dozed off on a stool near the cash register. 'Someone's getting fired.' She thought with a frown before picking up her camera, and taking a picture of the man.
After that she decided to look for anything worth getting. She figured Kyle would simply pay outside so she decided to pick out snacks, and drinks for them. She explored the store despite knowing where everything was. She still decided to make sure she found her way through the entire small space as she looked for good stuff. After a few minutes she picked out a few candy bars, energy bars, jerky, assorted nuts, chips, energy drinks, pops, and waters. With that she headed to Mr. Sleep head, and placed the items on the counter. She wasn't one to take advantage of the situation, and just leave. "Yo, um....." Her eyes went to his name tag. "Ryan, you awake?!" She asked after learning his name. The guy jolted up realizing he was suppose to be working, and gave a sheepish smile. Along with the greeting he was suppose to give he soon checked her out, and handed her the bag in exchange for the cash.
The two bags both filled to the brim with the goodies for the trip where in her hands as she exited the gas station. However upon seeing the stare off of Kyle, and the bird she quickly put the bags down, and got a picture of the moment. "Wow wasn't expecting something this good yet." She giggled to herself picking the bags back up, and heading over to the RV. "That bird don't like you." She teased as she opened the RV door, and headed inside to put the goods up as if she was putting away groceries inside her house. Upon finishing she pocked her head out of the RV hearing his comment, and smiled. "Already ready big guy." She laughed before going back inside, and finding her perch back at the passenger side seat. "You know we got to make a few rules." She spoke once he got inside this trip was going to take a year, and her friend liked to partake in the ladies. "If you meet a girl you have to pay for a hotel room." She was mainly joking, but also being serious she didn't want to be sleeping on a couch while hearing her friend, and his guest in the bedroom. She didn't care if he did it personally she cared less if he found a pretty lady. She just didn't want to hear it.

"Birds like me perfectly fine! I'm a very nice person!" Kyle replied with a chuckle as he paid for the gas and got back into the RV, gunning it up again, ready to finally head out of town. He pretended to look offended at her comment about meeting girls. "I'm hurt that you even think I'd subject you to that!" He joked, but then nodded agreement with a smile. "Deal." He said. "And same to you, Missy." He added. Of course there was a far less chance of that happening, but a chance nonetheless. After all, there was a whole world of guys out there, surely a couple would tickle Selena's fancy. Kyle was unsure why the thought of that bothered him slightly.
He shook it off and instead got them back on the road. He took the on ramp onto the freeway, pausing to cast one last glance at the small town. Boring and cold as it was, it was home, and now he wasn't going to see it for an year. With that silent goodbye, he turned back to the road, and his thoughts turned to anticipation at what they'd see on the trip. He hoped that they would find some great hiking trails.
Just like Selena's passion was photography, Kyle's was backpacking. He loved nothing more than hitting the most difficult trail to find. Often, he would spend a summer vacation off in mountains somewhere on some godforsaken trail no one else wanted to attempt to hike and worrying his parents to death. When he wasn't on the water, he could definitely be found in the mountains. And new environments meant new trails. Most of the trails he had visited were in Wisconsin itself. He was looking forward to some new trails.
The freeway was pretty empty at this time, with just a few cars here and there, so they were making great time. Every now and then, Kyle asked for an exit or connection, but for the most part, it was a tranquil drive. Blackwolf was far behind them now, and they were on the cusp of leaving Wisconsin itself. Once they did, the trip would truly be underway, and everything they saw would be completely new to them. As if it was heralding this, dawn chose to break, casting vibrant shades of gold and orange over the purple-blue sky, washing out the stars in light and disintegrating the fog.

Selena laughed at his response to her rules, and looked out the window for a moment before she heard the next part. "Really? I figure you'd want to hear me if I brought another girl here." She joked as she took out her camera to get a quick picture of the highway. Sure it wasn't something too interesting, but it was indeed something that marked their adventures start. She knew when he meant his statement he meant her bringing back a guy, but she hadn't dated a guy since Kyle. That didn't mean she only liked females in fact that wasn't true at all she was more into guys, but still her last lover was indeed a female, and she wouldn't pass it again if she found another female she liked. She wasn't one to judge on gender, merely if she liked the person.
For the most part of the ride her eyes laid on the road, and she would take a few pictures every now and then. However after a few moments on the road she'd switch to messing around in the back to sitting back up front. She'd answer his questions every timed he'd ask, but for the most part she just kept taking pictures. However lasted for hours soon to come to near end as they finally reached out of their home town. This was when Selena never really left the front as she watched the road carefully looking for anything worth taking a picture of.
A few moments later she saw a sign stating the state border was close, and she got her camera ready. "Illinois here we come!" She greeted happily. At this point she was ready to get out so she turned to Kyle. "Let's find a town to take a break at." She stated though if he wanted to keep going she wouldn't complain. She mainly just wanted to explore a new town already, and as they were in Illinois she felt now would be the time to do just that.
