Into the Wild was released 20 years ago today on January 21st 2003. It marked the beginning of this long-running battle cat series which still has new books written and published to this day.  I'm so happy to have come back to my childhood comfort series three years ago (in April of 2020) and also joined this part of the fandom on the forums here (in December of that same year) to witness this milestone. Here's to at least twenty more years (jk but not really lol). By the way, if you go onto the Warriors Wiki today and for the rest of the week, you'll find it's decked out in honor of the first book and to celebrate the anniversary. This includes a special focus on the cat who started it all (and who is also my favorite character from this series), Firestar! warriors.fandom.com/wiki/Warriors_WikiBut I am hoping that there will also be an article or a reveal of a future book cover on the official Warrior Cats website (mayhaps even the reveal of ASC #4's cover, tite and blurb or the cover and blurb for Riverstar's Home?) Or even a poll where one could choose the cover background color (like with Onestar's Confession) or Frostpaw's medicine cat name suffix (like with Rootspring's warrior name back in TBC)? I'm simply spitballing some ideas here though. I love this series, it has done so much for me, it has given me escape, comfort, inspiration, and so much more. I would not be the person or artist I am today if not for these books.

can't believe it's been 20 whole years of cat books. this series has directly and indirectly changed my life in many ways; it's just crazy to think about.
I REALLY hope they reveal something new soon, too!

Here’s to 20 years of rushing to the bookstore to get each new release before it sold out(although that’s not a problem anymore), and the days before excerpts, teasers and sneak peaks outside of what they placed at the end of each book, and the website.
That said I’m really hoping we get the excerpt for ASC#3 Shadow before the end of the month. Or another book reveal.

Wind is what I thought would be the new title. And Thunder for book 5 and Star for book 6 Quite a few other people also think that this will be how the second half of ASC will be named in that order and have said so in the past (myself included). There's a few polls on WG regarding that, and Wind is usually the answer most voted for on there for the title of ASC #4. But that's not really the topic of this thread, after all. |

If so, that's amazing and I love your taste in webcomics. - On topic, I can't believe this series is still running after 20 years...I'm not complaining though. I hope we'll get lots of new (and well-written) content as time goes on. I was kind of hoping that there would be more 20th anniversary reveals by now. I wonder if they have anything planned, or if the video with the authors was the big celebration. |
