Vinepaw sprang to her paws, realizing she was probably disappointing others by laying around when she could be making use of herself. Her eyes lit up when she saw Tawnyshade.

Trying to, I keep trying to get replies up, but I end up just using most of my time either for naps or for just reading) Gonna be a weak response and I apologize rob lucci's wife) Wolfstrike-Camp-RavenflowerWolfstrike flicked his tail, perhaps that was the wrong approach. As it clearly made the situation worse rather then better. "It's fine," he said, it was no point trying to reason with this tom. Shooting an annoyed look to the newcomer. "Maybe you should learn to respect your senior Crowlion." He flicked his ear with a roll of his eyes. "I can't believe you ever got made a warrior with your behavior." Qith that he walked away from the pair. |

Ravenflower (with Crowlion; in camp)
Ravenflower stared at Wolfstrike and dipped his head hearing the tom snap at Crowlion, who had thankfully saved Ravenflower from the awkward situation. The small tom watched the older warrior walk away, clearly annoyed with every step he took. The warrior then put his attention back to Crowlion. I'm so glad Crowlion was here to help end the horrible conversation with Wolfstrike, but he scares me more than Wolfstrike.
"Oh? A p-patrol?" he shuffled his paws a bit as he thought of another response to the cat. "Whose going on the patrol?" Ravenflower hoped that Crowlion had picked calm cats instead of the energetic warriors that would gladly take the opportunity to be on a patrol in a heartbeat. After the brief interaction with Wolfstrike, Ravenflower needed a calm atmosphere. |

The apprentice seemed eager to join a patrol which the warrior saw it as a good sign. Hopefully Crowlion would be pleased with her by choosing Vinepaw for the patrol. Russetdeer -- [ brambleclan territory ] -- [ with Orangestrike ] Russetdeer blinked in surprise at Orangestrike's response. He hadn't realized that the tom had gone out already once before. However, them hunting would be favorable for the clan. "As long as you're fine with it, we can stick with our same plan," he mewed to the other tom. "Unless you prefer doing something else?"

The lithe tom relaxed his tense shoulders once he heard the black tom in front of him announce the cats that would accompany them on the patrol. "Oh,I see. " He ignored Crowlion's other remarks that were about Wolfstrike as he began to think quietly in his mind. Ah, Tawnyshade and Vinepaw? Tawnyshade is a nice, calm cat, so I'll be comfortable around her. I don't know much about Vinepaw, but she's an apprentice, so I'm sure she won't cause discomfort for me. Ravenflower's melancholy eyes stared at the tom's whitish eyes for a brief moment before looking back to the ground.

You don't have a reason to defr to him asmuch as you do. I respect to Wolfstrike, but not more than I would Tawnyshade. Speak to him or I or anyone else as equals, because that is what your rank means. Next, don't sweat the small stuff. Next time you bump into anyone, try this: Just nod at them in deference, as a small apology, and then move on. Save the big ones for when you do something that actually has major consequences. Giving a nod the tom fell into his starting stance, beginning to circle around the other slowly. He kept his tail held low and his ears perked, zeroing in on any weak points and watching for just the smallest opening. The tom was more on the patient side when it came to his strategy and tried to use the least amount of energy possible, instead turning his opponent's strength against themself in order to win most of his fights. Spotting his moment the tom quickly dashed in to land a quick hit to the other apprentice's side. |

I really want to apologize, but if I do Crowlion would snap at me because of what he just lectured me on. "I understand." The cat thought it was best to not say anything else for once and instead stay in silence listening to the other warrior.
"I don't know where the others are at, but I'm sure they're probably waiting for us at the front of camp." Ravenflower looked towards the direction of the camp, wondering if his guess was right. He waited to see what Crowlion thought they should do. |

Slowripple was crouched low to the ground, her body concealed by the tall grass around her. Clear blue eyes focused through the green blades on a mouse that was nibbling away on a seed. Her haunches wiggled, making her tail lash which disturbed the foliage around her, the molly's excitement getting the better of her. The mouse paused, looking up and around with its beady little eyes. Slowripple paused, even holding her breath as she remained perfectly still. The thrum of her heartbeat echoed in her ears and she prayed she hadn't been caught.
Unfortunately, her prayers went unanswered and the lilac point she-cat cursed under her breath as the mouse darted off. She gave chase, tracking the small prey by its scent and watching as it darted around. Her paws pushed off the ground, trying to gain speed to make up for the head start that the mouse got. Just as she sprang forward, confident that she would pounce right on top of the mouse, her paws landed on nothing and she realized it had disappeared into a small burrow.
"What! Hey, come back out, I need to catch you!" Slowripple crouched down and spoke into the hole, digging her paws into it but coming back out with nothing. Letting out a defeated huff, she sat down and pouted, a little embarrassed that she'd let a mouse get the best of her. โโโโ-ใโฆใโโโโ-

Pineheart had slept in longer then he'd meant to, but going out on a dusk hunting patrol really took him out of it. The older tom groaned as he rolled onto his side, stretching out and wincing after hearing so many of his joints pop. Wasn't like he was climbing up to being an elder's age, but he was aging nonetheless. After giving himself a quick grooming, the mainly white tom stood from his nest and left the warrior's den just as Tawnyshade departed to go find Vinepaw. He'd caught the tail-end of her conversation with Crowlion, and heard the mention of his son's name.
With his copper eyes darting around, it was easy to spot Ravenflower. His body language was so easy to read, he could tell just how uncomfortable his son was talking to Wolfstrike, and then even more-so when Crowlion pulled him aside. Pineheart squinted, as if that would make it better for him to hear their conversation. While he knew Ravenflower was fully capable of handling himself, Pineheart had no qualms of stepping in if he caught wind of others giving the tom a hard time.
He watched as the two padded towards the entrance, Crowlion calling out for Tawnyshade and Vinepaw to join him on the patrol. His tail lashed and the older warrior ducked his head, padding towards the fresh-kill pile to get something to eat. Pineheart wasn't picky, so he quickly grabbed a vole then set off to find a place to eat in peace. |

Ravenflower looked at Tawnyshade and Vinepaw as soon as Crowlion pointed them out. The small cat remained silent until he heard the cat next to him sigh. His ears flattened as he stared at the slightly older warrior. "Don't blame yourself Crowlion, I really doubt Quietstar would be upset about a small setback."
Ravenflower waited for the pair that were going to join both him and Crowlion. I thought Wolfstrike was scary, but Crowlion might be even scarier! He never realized how tense Crowlion seemed for simply being a warrior. The two cats were somewhat close in age, yet Crowlion seemed way more mature and older than Ravenflower. He seemed more like a deputy than Gorseclaw and Ravenflower couldn't help but wonder why Quietstar didn't appoint Crowlion instead of the current deputy. |
