Sunflower sets out to find the missing cats during the middle of the night by herself. Before she can get far, she stumbles upon an abandoned kit lying near the thunderpath. She turns around and brings the kit back to ForestClan. Although heartbroken from the loss of Russetkit, Nectarstream agrees to take the kit in. They name it Lightkit.
