Hey! I'd be down to do a little jumping in and out (;
Name< Tobias Renfried Age< 55 Race - Class< Human Warlock Highest & Lowest Stat< Con Dex Brief Description< Tobias is a bulky, scruffy man with nondescript brown, curly hair and brown eyes. He isn't particularly tall, but he has a brawlers' physique and is more at ease wielding a broadsword than magic, despite having been linked to his patron Demon for over half his life. His Pact causes him to age slowly, however, and while he still has the vitality of his youth, his body only perhaps 24, he tends to appear more in his mid thirties, mostly due to his unkept beard and tired, dark eyes. Misc< Tobias is steady and hard to throw off his rhythm. He's seen many hardships in his life, and gets by with a strong fortitude and more than a little apathy. Tobias tries his best, but rarely goes out of his way for anything. He struggles to truly care and often overcompensates by being clingy or forcefully helpful. Before this, he tended to roam around as a mercenary between missions from his patron --like this one, where he's been charged with finding a certain metal cube that his patron Demon desires.

Zach watched the man with mild interest, as he spoke about the situation, his attention occasionally being drawn away to observe the surroundings before it would settle back on the minor lord. The minor noble reminded him a lot of the stuffy teachers back at his old school, too full of themselves to really care about teaching the students, but also too strict to let things slide. It was how he had gotten kicked out after all, when he had been caught practicing druid magic instead of wizard. He hadn't gone back to that school since, not like he was allowed to anyways, with him being on a no trespass list, when he had attempted at one point to go back to set the building on fire.
He watched as Lord Harvin took off for his carriage. The young man clicking his tongue in mild annoyance. He really just dumped this on us and left. He thought, messing with some of the bangs that hung in his face, as his gaze moved to the others that were in the clearing. They at least looked competent, and while he didn't trust them, they at least looked like that would be able to hold their own. Stretching his arms over his head as he sighed. He was regretting taking this on, but he had heard so much about this place, that he had to come check it out for himself. To see if what everyone said about it was true, or if it was just the talk of drunk men that spread.
"So when shall we begin," he asked facing them, his hands moving to rest in the pockets of his jacket. The sooner they got inside, the sooner he could just slip away by shifting to a mouse to check out the place on his own. Tilting his head slightly at the parchment that fluttered in the air, staring at Sikh as the man caught it. Shrugging as he turned his gaze to the buildings, he couldn’t help but wonder…how long would it take for this all to burn down? Shaking out his head to clear the idea from it, would just be to much trouble at the moment, maybe after they got the things they needed for the noble he could. Adjusting his jacket, as he flickered his gaze once more to the other people in the courtyard, noticing an elf was among them. He only meet a few back when he was a student, finding it hard to stand the stuck up students.

Any place remote and full of lore was a place for Porcia and while she could name many localities that fit the description, this one had never been put on her map. From the sounds of it, not many survived the visit. Eerie and weathered, she doubted the place was haunted, although ghosts were not quite out of the question. Anyone wanting to disappear may find a castle like this a haven. She would know, sleuthing in dark places was a specialty. Nichaan really knew how to entice her into falling for his stupid dares because here she was, entertaining the idea of playing hidden objects for her pocket and her pride.
Liar. The word rang within her head with every second spent around the man requesting assistance. His swift departure only deepened her look of disapproval mostly because she had made a personal bet that the man would crack before leaving. Maybe a few more minutes would’ve done him in. Her sights on him lingered until even the carriage began to disappear leaving her gaze to wonder to other members of the group. A brief glance was exchanged with Zach, with no friendly fanfare. Porcia was not a stranger to lingering gazes of judgement nor the cold shoulder, which she willingly handed out.
“Go right on ahead.” Porcia said, sorting through the letters and plucking one that felt a little lighter than the others. “He’s only paying the ones that make it out alive.” This comment was muttered mostly to herself, followed by a dry chuckle as she took a moment to take in the decrepit castle once more. She wasn’t a chicken or a fool but she certainly was not going first.

+ Damasikhthon +
> The man pauses for a moment, staring at the familiar script before nonchalantly slipping it into an inner pocket. He then moves his hand to his chin, knuckles pensively grazing the freckles there as he gives his new companions a cursory once-over. Lord Harvin had been kind enough to offer brief introductions- Or rather, he'd performed a roll call and checked each name off of a list to ensure everyone was present before starting his little spiel. Damasikhthon could then make inferences on their nature and capabilities based on appearance and the man's little comments to himself.
'Better watch out for that one- surely the Caer is too damp to catch fire?'
'I'm not quite sure why she's here...must double check inventory if she lives...'
'Oh, finally a more reliable one! A bit costly though...'
Though he listened intently for it, Damasikhthon's name was not paired with a footnote in the ledger. He resisted the urge to frown when he only received a hard stare and a grunt. Sure, he had yet to make a name for himself, but did he not at least deserve a second glance? A comment on how well his attire complemented his hair, surely!
Tsk.
Well, nothing for it but to ensure that he is properly remembered. Some praise would be much appreciated too.
The eerie silence of the night doesn't last long, the boy speaks up to prompt action and Sikh responds with an approving hum. They're off to a good start if the 'we' is any indication. Sannovo's low response doesn't suggest that she's encouraging teamwork but she's not openly denouncing it either.
It would appear that his new companions were merely waiting for someone to make the first move. Damasikhthon is happy to oblige~
"Hmhm! No time like the present. We are operating under the constraint of time, after all."
He reaches into a pouch strapped to his hip and recovers a luminous teal bulb. Holding it in the center of his left palm, Sikh pulls moisture from the misty air with a twirl of his finger and condenses it into a single drop of water to alight on the dormant flower. It quickly blooms into a fist-sized lotus, increasing in brightness until it possesses the intensity of a lantern. Each pulse of light causes it to grow larger until it nears the size of his pauldron. Satisfied, Sikh taps it gently and blows on it so that it comes to hover near his shoulder, illuminating much of the battle-ravaged courtyard with a dewy blue-green cast.
"That'll do for now. Sannovo," Damasikthon turns to face the elf. "Have you already looked through all of the requests? Which would be the quickest to retrieve, in your estimation?"
Lord Harvin had claimed that most of their list could be found on the lower levels, implying that they would have no need to ascend, but he left before Sikh could ask if 'lower' meant within the area of a dungeon or cellar. Truthfully, he didn't definitively know what they were looking for. It would make sense if they were important historical objects or valuables, such as the late king's heirloom or even lost court documents. In all its years of abandonment, not much had been excavated from the Caer's ruins. Anything that could be salvaged would be worth a hefty price simply from the difficulty in obtaining it, yet Sikh has a hunch that this wasn't an expedition for mere baubles or trinkets.
At the very least, he plans to do more than play gofer for the greedy, uncultured caste. There are mysteries in the history of this cursed land, and this is his last chance to even begin attempting to unravel them. Damasikhthon smiles up at the misshapen figure in a tower window. It's so far up that you can only just barely detect that something wasn't right in the uneven silhouette. First alerted, perhaps, by the sudden stinging sensation of being watched. His smile is soft and solemn, a wry twist of his lips.
"'Welcome home' indeed~"

(Sorry it took so long a got busy this week but here is her starter ) Zee had come a pretty long way to get to this castle, self searching took you to all kinds of places. She'd stopped in the nearest town to rest. Word about that castle was it wasn't a good place to be, there was a reason it wasn't taken care of. Once the day had arrived she'd stopped in the market and gotten a few things, filled her water up in a nearby stream, and made her way to the job. So this was what the job was? Some run-down place that drove any who entered to madness, perfect. At least it was going to pay well, she needed money to buy food. Other than that she didn't need a large sum of money but she supposed that it would mean she could focus on more important things if she had some pocket change. She had plenty of questions about everything really the whole situation and what they should expect but by the time she'd started to open her mouth the round man had vanished into his carriage almost faster than she could blink. How did he move so quickly when he'd been sweating so much just standing there? What was wrong with him? It wasn't even hot. Walking over she took her letter, if they were working together why did they need separate letters? Were there that many items or did that man expect they would be forced to separate? Only the first rooms of the lower level huh? She didn't like this, but good thing she came prepared, her bags were full of all kinds of survival, and her water pouch was almost full too. Zaleria looked up at the castle this was going to be fine right? There was enough of them to look out for the other. Then again they didn't know each other and had no real reason to keep an eye out for anyone but themselves. It didn't seem like there was a lot of thought put into this group, honestly, it just looked like whoever they could find or afford to pay. "Suppose we should have a little bit of a plan before going head first?" She'd stayed quiet most of the time but wasn't going to just walk it with no plan. That with a group of people who'd only first met sounded like a recipe for disaster. Good thing she was used to sleeping on the ground.
