I've been on the fence about Nightheart, and so far this book is not helping me like him - he's really just a rude little guy. I'm definitely liking Sunbeam and Frostpaw (mainly the latter), especially with her chapters so far here. I also feel really bad for Owlnose, the poor guy.

Yeah, I'm probably going to be annoyed with Sunbeam as well if she keeps this up. I get why she's angry with Lightleap, but really... It's kinda starting to make me wish that Spireclaw or Fringewhisker had been the ShadowClan protagonist instead, especially since they're more connected to the Berryheart thing anyway.

I don’t think Frostpaw is meant to be a medicine cat… her connection with Starclan is strange and doesn’t seem as strong when compared to previous med cat apprentice protags. She also doesn’t have Mothwing to ask questions to about Starclan and what visiting them is supposed to be like plus the fact that her even becoming the med apprentice was weird as well. (the whole missing her dad and then he dying soon after or something to that effect) I really think she is meant to be leader especially will the “it’s who you would least expect” thing
