Cloverstripes pins her ears back and resists the urge to bite the tip of his tail. He was trying to get a rise out of her which was typical of him. "Just that you have been visiting Pinekit and he worried that you somehow had something to do with the attack. Unlike you, Pinekit is going to be a valuable member of the clan!"

"We could always use more." Mapleheart picks out two mice and drops them down to Bluetalon. She looks back and eyes the rabbit before deciding to grab a bird. The bird would be for herself.

Heathershade-Infirmary-Greylion
"Be careful, I don't want to think about something happening to you," she said to him. While she knew it would always be a possibility, a reality she would have to prepare herself to face in the worse case scenario, but she wanted remain on thr side of hop that Greylion would stay strong. "I'll have my paws full with our kits so I'll have a small piece of you with me regardless." Turning her gaze back to the bundles of fur at her side. "What names do you think we should give them?"

Smokefin-Castle-Cedarwing
Brushing against him, and giving a lick to the tom's cheek. Smokefin's smile seemed to grow a bit more, the cat feeling clamer at their mate's words. "Thank you Cedarwing. Now let's go grab something to eat before it's gone."

Basilwhisker turned away after the King had finished giving his report. He flicked his tail. He wasn't the best fit for leadership, Blizzardstar that is, but neither was Moonfrost. What Basilwhisker wanted was someone who was young but knowledgeable and not flighty. Someone who really cared about the clan. He wandered off thinking about who might be the best candidate.


Rosebriar was out hunting near the Castle. She could see it from where she stood. She flicked her tail once then stalked toward a vole. She pounced Lansing on it precisely. She grabbed it up and headed back to put it in the prey pile. When she arrived back at the Castle she noticed a disturbance. She decided to take the vole to the infirmary to see if any cat there needed it. She walked in and it was chaotic. "Hello?" She said shyly picked her way around everyone nearby.

Honeyburr listened to the King and wondered what to think. She had heard dissent from others saying he wasn't fit to lead. But she wasn't sure who they would see as fit instead. She shook the thought from her head and glanced around looking for someone to hunt with.


Waspbite gazed at the King as he spoke and then turned away to fund some other knights to see who would be patrolling. He liked that Blizzardstar was taking a no nonsense approach to this attack. More patrols and no going out alone would make sense.

The tom sat up quickly wincing at the pain in their stomach "Thanks Robinleap!"

Firefur leaps up a few flight of stairs and turns to face the group of cats who were still by the entrance. He calls out looking for volunteers to join him on patrol. He wanted to check the border near the twoleg village and by waterfall.

Duskstorm, having better to do since his better decided to leave to bicker, climbs down the stairs to join the right paw. "I will happily be apart of the patrol! We could try and track where the commoners ran off to and I am not taking no for an answer understood!"

Firefur just gives him a bow of his head. "Of course your grace!"

"In any case, we will be prepared to help them should there be any difficulties." Mapleheart figured she might as well be honest. Most kittings were quick and easy but there have been a few cases of difficult births and kits not making it. She had faith that their ancestors would bless Bluetalon with healthy kits.

Cloverstripes lets out a small growl as a warning. "Unlike you, he will turn out better. Once he turns six moons and has a mentor he will be far to busy and hopefully tired to be breaking any rules."



Greylion gazes down at the tiny kits and takes a moment to take in what they looked like. He lifts up his paw and points to the small tortoiseshell with gray paws. "How about Rainkit?" He suggested. Rainkit had been one of the names he really liked.

Vinetial let out a growl of his own and asked, "And what is so wrong with me sister?" Sitting still in front of her and said, "I gave countless moons to this clan before I finally decided to finally put my wants over that old decerped king. And for that I was cast out by my family and treated like I never existed." With a sigh he looked at the sky and said, "Look I just don't want him to feel the same pain that I felt in having his family abandon him to be forgotten."

Vinetail looked at Cloverstipes looked at her and said, "That is the problem, those rules are so old. If rules are not updated to fit the modern times then all they do is hold us back. However, we only keep them to make sure that kings like Blizzardstar to make sure that common clan cats don't think for themselves and just do what their told without question." He laid down as he said, "It just isn't fair that they say what is right and wrong."

Vinetail looked at her and with a small smile said, "You know that is one thing that I will admit that it miss about this system, always knowing who did what. When you live like I have then I have to basically do all the roles myself, which can be quit exhausting." His gaze then turned serious as he the said, "However, this freedom to choose my own path is worth the hassle."

"Well good for you." Cloverstripes mutters mostly to herself. She takes a moment to remain quiet to think. She didn't hate her brother just overall frustrated and unsure how to speak to him.

The she-cat purred, ignoring Buzzardgaze's glare and settled it down next to them. "So how do you feel"

The tom turned so they could see the mouse and pulled it closer "I'm ok... my stomach really hurts though"

Vinetail gave a knowing nod and said, "You see, even you know that it is impossible. So if we both know that things can't go back to the way they were then why bother regretting it." Looking at the sky he said, "I am sorry that I wasn't ever to be the cat that you and brother wished I was but what's done is done." Turning his attention back Cloverstripe he said, "However, it is not to late for Pinekit. When he turns six moons I have offered him a place by side, which he can reject if he so wishes and I will respect that for he would have chose his own path."
