That took longer than expected but I didn't get in many fairy, dark, fire, rock, psychic, steel, fighting and ghost (probably more types I didn't get a lot of xD) I was so focussed on getting the wildlife and waterlife of virginia that I pretty much didn't have much room for all the other stuff

Well I'm still sorting through Pokemon so I'll try and work those types in x3
I also was hit with inspiration. Like we could kind of implement a regional variant. Like on the eastern shore there's an island called Assateague and there are these wild ponies that live there in complete isolation. So why not have a regional variant of ponyta?

and then, to make sure I've got this right, for the varients we're doing something like they did for the alolan region right? And for the ponyta I think they should have four different colors for the seasons like deerling and sawsbuck

That's the idea. But I was think that the ponyta would have become water types, because the ponies are often in the bay when they're cooling off in the summer or dealing with bugs

Post by Star on Sept 4, 2016 22:46:08 GMT -5
what about a grass-fire combination for the ponyta?
|
|
|
Post by Northstar3213 on Sept 4, 2016 22:48:10 GMT -5
I don't know a fire type probably wouldn't work on that island setting. But a water/grass type probably could

|
Post by Star on Sept 4, 2016 22:51:13 GMT -5
Or what about a ground/water type?
|
|
|
Post by Northstar3213 on Sept 4, 2016 22:52:33 GMT -5
That could probably work, but I really think that the water/grass combo would probably be better

Post by Star on Sept 4, 2016 22:53:31 GMT -5
alright, water/grass type it is then!

oh, and you said you were sketching out a map?

Post by Northstar3213 on Sept 4, 2016 22:54:12 GMT -5
And I think that the ponyta should just be straight up water type, and the rapidash should get that dual typing

*facedesk* I completely forgot about the map X.x

xD it's alright haha. If you do the map and post it, I could type up some descriptions and edit it so they're more to your liking as for the ponyta-rapidash typing thingy, that sounds good, I like it

I'll post the map tomorrow morning, hopefully my parents don't drag me off somewhere X.x
Any other regional variants do you think we need other than ponyta and teddiursa?
Oh! I also think we need a regional variant for sandile
|
|
|
Post by Star on Sept 4, 2016 23:03:32 GMT -5
alright. It's body should be a lighter shade of tan so it blends more in with sand and instead of stripes it should have grey speckles to look more like pebbles. The typing should be water/rock and they should be found near water, more commonly found half-burried under the sand of a beach, basking in the sun

thanks Should we start making the roleplaying page? We jst put WIP DNP at the end of the title so people know that we're working on it. When it's opened to roleplay you just remove to WIP DNP

Here are some other locations:
•Mt. Blueridge-The tallest mountain in the Kenwei Region, known for its thick woodland and high concentration of Bluk berries. The teddiursa and ursaring that live here take on a special form due to the abundance of these berries and exposure to moonlight. •Appalachia Valley-Nestled deep in the mountains of the Kenwei Region, the Appalachia Valley is a vast grassland with sparse woodland that provides a home to many different Pokemon. •Stalagpipe Caverns-Stalagpipe Caverns is a vast network of underground caverns and is home to many ground type Pokemon. •Seajewel Bridge-Tunnel-This bridge-tunnel connects Shoremere Town and Highshore City to the mainland. The tunnel portions are made of strong plexiglass to allow those passing through to watch Pokemon underwater. •The Great Swamp-The Great Swamp is home to many ghost type Pokemon. •Fayhollow Forest-This lush forest is home to many different types of plant life as well as grass and bug type Pokemon. •Delmarva Island-This island sits very close to sea level and has vast marshland and woodland in addition to the white sandy beaches. Delmarva Island is most famous for being the only place in the Kenwei region that the regional variants of Ponyta and Rapidash can be found.
