hey friends, sorry i haven't been super active the last couple of days. i'll put my explanation in a spoiler for [ tw ] mentions of d*ath. i still have flicker and fin's starter up, and i'll work on some more for the other four here in a bit.
my grandmother passed away on wednesday, and this morning was her funeral. it's been a rough past few weeks, as my other grandmother passed the week before thanksgiving, so i've kind of been hopping on and off instead of really hanging out online. hopefully the rest oof this year goes a little better and i can be more active ^^'

ooo, performances? what kind? i’m in a musical revue! which is just a mash up of a bunch of different musical theater songs - concert style. our revue is villain themed, which is pretty fun! i’m in a couple songs as ensemble, then i get to sing Dentist from Little Shop of Horror, and I’m one of the Heathers for Candy Store from, well, Heathers lol |

assuming you’re indoors and onstage, if the house is dark, the stage lights are so bright you won’t be able to see the audience beyond the first few rows, so you can just imagine they aren’t even there. and if the house is lit and you can see the audience, focus on the wall behind them instead of looking directly at all the faces! if someone messes up, remember that the audience doesn’t know the script! if you can cover it well they won’t notice a thing. pretend you’re at a rehearsal and just enjoy yourself <3
ofc, if you’ve performed before, im sure you know all this already cx but i hope it helps the nervousness!

it was a great opening night! got lots of compliments on my Dentist 😌😌 and the venue is kinda special, it's not in a typical proscenium stage setting. it's in this gutted out movie theater with tables set up, and then some of us perform onstage with the band, and some of us perform on this long center table that has people sitting at it (other actors and patrons) and it's basically two tall platforms put together lol for Dentist im on the stage and then the table, and for candy store im on the floor and on the table so it's a lot of audience interaction. Definitely the first type of setting i've performed in, but i love messing with audience members lol - in one of the songs i took someones (empty) can and traded it with my prop mug before running back to retrieve it slay tbh  |

hope you feel better soon raven! i get migraines too so i know that's a rough one. if you have the energy, try putting your feet in a tub of hot water and putting an icepack on the back of your neck! my dad's girlfriend told me that trick one time.
