I think an apprentice might do him some good though
I'm also like half-debating wanting some sort of valiant, dramatic death for him and honestly it'd be really depressing if he had a mate/kits when/if that happens

ooh that sounds so fun teal! the red rock is utah is gorgeous ^.^ yes that still sounds great! it sounds like jacarandabloom and lemonpaw find the skin in the nest, maybe call the rest of the cats in alarm, only to find it's limp and not moving, and the boa (the one that attacked white and butterfly) comes back and is like 'who's in my nest??'
