He had received the bird pokemon from his older brother, and had instantly grew attached to the small bird, out of all his pokemon Skyphire was the one he had the strongest bond with. "That's a nice way of thinking of it," he said, with a small smile. "Right that would probably be a good thing to do." He looked away once more, trying to remember where it was, but the location eluded him. He felt his face burn a bit out of embarrassment. "So...I actually don't know where the pokemon center is..." He forgot things easily, and felt it was a miracle when he did remember something, let alone find his gym.

Jay thought it over before giving a nod. "We could try that," he agreed. He often did end up using his gym as a land mark to help him navigate throughout the town. He grabbed at Carwyn's wrist and began to drag the other man behind him as he headed in the direction of his gym.

Jay grinned at his question. "It's the best! You get to see so many different kinds of trainers, and test their skills! Granted I spend a lot of time waiting, with being the last gym they have to take on, but still, it is fun, especially when I get kids from Nike Town and I get to see just how far they came on their journey," he explained. In all fairness he never thought he would become a gym leader, but when the one before him stepped down, he jumped at the chance of getting to be the dragon gym leader. "What about you what is being a coordinator like?" He kept a hold of the other man's wrist, as he continued to drag him along to the gym.

"Didn't end on bad terms, was a mutual decision we broke up 7 years ago, I had just been starting out being a gym leader. And I was just really wanting to prove I could handle the job, that I kind of starting to neglect both my relationship with him, and with others. We just agreed we were in different places in life."

Jay followed him inside, handing over the four pokemon he had used for the battle. "Well good luck when you do try again," he said, giving a smile. "And if you have a bad experience again, you can let me know and I'll gladly punch them." He already was thinking of Carwyn as a friend, and he was willing use some of his energy to punch someone if they hurt him.
