for me, i have one episode i really don’t like from my top show.
wander over yonder: the hole… lotta nuthin’ - people often point to this specific episode when they want to show character torment ‘done right’, but it’s called torment for a reason. the entire episode is based around putting wander through the worst situations possible while he’s stuck keeping a black hole plugged. you can tell it’s gonna get worse when lord hater shows up, and it does. i hate when people try and justify this is wander receiving ‘karma’ for all the times he’s annoyed lord hater, but hater crosses the line real quick. the ending is funny enough, with lord hater accidentally taking wander’s place, but it doesn’t justify that fact that 9 minutes of a 11 minute episode was fully focused on torturing him for no reason.

Any of the Todd-centric episodes in Beavis and Butthead. Can't stand that jerk, he's the only guy in the crapshoot world of the show that never gets any comeuppance, and he's as big a jerk as the rest of the characters.
"Above and Below" in Attack on Titan. Gabi getting slugged was awesome, but the asinine reasoning with Artur not giving a crap about his daughter's death made me so furious that I dropped the show.
"July 15th (Thursday), Part 4" of JoJo part 4, "Funeral Rites" of Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans, and "Jupiter Jazz (Part 1)" of Cowboy Bebop. When visiting parents, sometimes my dad would get bored with what was on TV and hand the remote to me. During three different trips, I put one of those shows on because they I was binging it for the time and those respective episodes just happened to be the latest ones for where I was at, or were right after the episodes I picked. THIS WAS A MISTAKE. A MASSIVE MISTAKE. To save a quick search, all of these episodes are "your parents walk into the room at the wrong time" episodes. After Jupiter Jazz, I stopped watching anime at my parents' house.

Star Trek Voyager. Retrospect. Just. Just awful and completely unnecessary. For as progressive as Star Trek can be this one was so, so poorly handled and unnecessary and frankly pretty disgusting. TW It's a very heavy handed analogy for sexual assault involving one of the characters, but the crew spends half the episode gaslighting her about her memories of the event since there was "no proof" and the end of the episode her assaulter kills himself and we are supposed to feel pity for him or something because she ruined his reputation since it was ambiguous whether it happened? Absolutely revolting. I hate it.

Bojack Horseman is an all-time fave show, but the episodes that strongly push a political agenda grate on me a lot. I don't really think they do a good job of making their statements and they just come off as unsubtly spoonfeeding you the creator's ideology as well as straw-manning people who disagree with their stances.
Also in Love Death + Robots I really don't like Beyond the Aquila Rift, but that one's a lot more subjective. The pacing was off considering how rapid the final reveal was, and also while the show has a lot of not-really-necessary r-rated content that one was the worst offender imo. It's conceptually cool tho, I think my main point of annoyance with it is that I think it could have been way better than it was lol

Does every episode from season five of she-ra count
Visually, it was the coolest season, but the writing was a trainwreck. Too much narrative backtracking, flushed previous character development, and the ending was way too rushed. That’s just off the top of my head.

Gravity Falls- Roadside Attraction Stranger Things- The Lost Sister (I really wanted to like this episode, but it just came out of left field and at such a bad time in the season. Could've worked if it was at a different point in S2.) The Umbrella Academy- The Day That Wasn't (The only saving grace this episode has is Five and The Handler. Otherwise it's just boring, which is not what you want in a show marketed for it's "strangeness") The Walking Dead- Dead Weight

if you’re alright with answering, may i ask what show it is from? and what made you dislike it so much? oh I thought everyone knew about it. it’s from ATLA and it’s basically 23 minutes of people bickering at each other. it’s kind of infamous in the fandom

Didn’t have cable growing up. lol

The Owl House - Once Upon A Swap, mostly just because it doesn't progress anything and the body swap magic was a bit confusing. I flipping love this show though, and even though it was my least favorite, I still enjoyed it. Amphbia - I can't think of any atm, (someone please watch this show though it's incredible) ATLA - The Great Divide, still a nice episode but more boring than any other

Already been mentioned twice but MAN was The Great Divide boring, I love ATLA but that episode was not it. Honestly I didn't like Nightmares and Daydreams either but the side plot saved it. Also most of LoK book 2.

twigfrost Have you finished Amphibia yet? The Olms are indeed important characters. I do agree though, the arguing is really annoying. xD
