((How does that even work?! I mean, I understand if you've got it written down, but otherwise that doesn't make sense. I could always write Spanish really well, but not speak it. Let alone understand it.
Ok, good!))
Ash hadn't exactly found her first class yet. She had been wandering the halls for quite a while now and knew that pretty soon, she either needed to find her class, or accept that she was going to be late on the first day. Sure, she could've asked someone for directions, but she was simply too stubborn to admit defeat. As it turned out, that stubbornness was now basically screwing her over.

Sorry I poofed! And yeah, I just wanted to explain Jac's character a little bit)
Jacqueline Afton - who more often went by Jac, or even Afton, thank you very much - was rushing to class herself. She wasn't lost, no - Jac had gone to Clearwater her entire high school career, and now she was a junior. No, she'd simply miscalculated how long it was going to take her to be ready for the day. Jac, a career popular, was known to care about her appearance an awful lot. Not in some lofty, air-headed way but rather in a prideful way. Jac was known to be bit of a nerd in personality, something no one would expect from a Clearwater popular. She didn't look like Summer or Eva or any of the other pops - she was happy to wear her hair up and have a makeup-free day mostly every day and get away with clothes that were preppy but overshadowed by the other girls' styles. No, Jac had risen to the top spot - or, well, the best spot she could be in due to Summer being the Queen - by knowing where and how to make friends in the right spot. Ambitious and determined, she rooted herself right in with the Queen and King, everybody's favorites Summer and Cal, and then permanently rooted herself into the popular clique. And she wasn't going anywhere. Luckily for Jac, her first period was gym which meant a study hall on this particular day. As long as she got there before the end of class bell rang, she'd be fine. So this was why she was walking at a casual speed, not frantically rushing to a class.

"Hmm, I know a few things about politics," Lani said, and it was true. She wasn't particularly knowledgeable, but she kept up with the news and had her own things to say about it. There was a reason she was in the class, and that reason was that she was very opinionated and wanted a class where she could put that to use. She knew she would probably have to talk quite a bit, but it was another thing she was trying to do. Obviously, from the way she wasn't able to look at Cal, she wasn't exactly doing well. But she had managed to make a friend in Jake, so that was something. She usually wasn't able to make friends so quickly. It was nice that she had someone to hang out with, especially when Cal was over or when she didn't want to deal with Summer. {Hello! I just looked back (did you call me Amber on accident?) and I am currently procrastinating on my Biology and History homework hahaha....}

((I need to get more in touch with my characters again before I do anything super advanced. As it is, I'm having some trouble. Dx)) "So how long have you been going to school here? Do you like it? Do you have a lot of friends? Why haven't I seen you around before?" Drake asked, his mouth moving a million miles a minute as he asked question after question. He was curious. He liked to know these things about people. {Wow I did not see this} "I've always gone to this school," Melanie answered patiently, used to rapid-fire questions. Her sister used to do it as a child, so she had learned to comprehend most of them. "It's an okay school, but the teachers are good. I don't have many friends, but I have a few. I assume we haven't met before because we've always been in different classes. I think it may also be because I don't like being noticed."

((Sorry for the poofing. I will be poofy all night. I had a rough morning, so my boyfriend is taking me out to dinner and stuff to make it better.))
Although it was Ash's first day, she could tell that the other girl walking down the hall had to be popular. There was just something in the way she walked. That was perfect seeing as how Ash felt most comfortable around the popular type. This was someone she could approach and ask for help. "Umm, excuse me." Ash called as she started towards the other girl. She was trying to keep the nervousness out of her voice, which was just plain silly. She shouldn't be nervous. She was Ash! Ash wasn't a nervous person. "Uh, could you help me find my first class?" She asked, no longer showing her nerves in her voice. "It's, uh, Biology."
Drake frowned at the last part. "You don't like to be noticed? Well that just plain silly. You're great! You're nice and polite and pretty. You should be making sure that everyone notices you." He gave his opinion with a final nod of his head as if agreeing with his own words. Of course, Drake thought that everyone was wonderfully nice and polite and beautiful. Even if he didn't, he would tell people, anyway. It made them happy. He liked making people happy.

{Aw, well, that sounds nice at least. I hope you have fun with him}
Melanie shook her head. She supposed she was pretty in an conventional way, and her make up helped a lot despite the dark colors, but she didn't want to be noticed. She wouldn't be accepted in that way, and if there was anything she wanted, it was to be accepted over adored. "No, I'm fine as I am. It doesn't matter. I'm happy as is, and that should be enough, right?"

{It should be alright! I think we still have a few places open, and it is a bit like PLL except more spread out and everybody is involved in some way. I don't think there's anything in particular you need to know, unless you want to know who's already dating/going to be dating. Also, the primary mod won't be on much during school so I'll be standing in and possibly RPing her characters from time to time}

Demand he makes you a balloon animal And yeah, sorry Dawn (': just so you know, I have a wip for a character currently. She's not even written, but she's gonna be a popular.)
Cal would be a very popular occurrence at their dorm, with or without Lani. "Good, then we're going to have the best project," Cal said confidently. He would most definitely be pulling his own weight - in fact, he was silently hoping Lani could pull her own weight. After all, she hadn't even held a decent conversation with him and Summer didn't have the best view of the quiet girl. He looked away from her and began to scribble something on the corner of his notebook; it was hidden to Lani by his hand, but when he tore the corner off it was his number and he shoved it towards Lani. "Text, or call, whatever you do when you have a free day. We can work schedules out then."
When Jac was stopped she turned to the girl pleasantly. She heard the nervousness edge the girl's voice, but as it weaned out towards her last words, Jac decided to not be bothered by it. "Hi," Jac told the girl with a smile as she stopped her before carrying on. "And of course." Jac didn't mind helping the girl in the slightest; Jac prided herself on being one of the most down-to-earth populars. "Bio? It's in second hall. That's where most of the sciences are held," Jac motioned with her head down the main hallway they were in. "C'mon, I can take you there and explain the situation to your teacher so they don't freak out on your lateness." (THIS IS SO BAD)

{That actually sounds kind of cute, but not as cute as the cliche "goes to the fair and he gets you a teddy bear" trope}
Lani finally turned her head towards him, but only to take the paper and observe it for a moment. Then she opened her phone under her desk to quickly put it in her phone and send a quick test text so he had her number in return. Her lock screen was of her parents' dog and cat, sleeping side by side. It was a nice reminder for her. "There. I'm usually free unless there's an important thing going on, or I'm hanging out with Jake, so I don't really care when you call. I can usually answer texts pretty quickly no matter what's going on. Only time I won't answer a text is when I'm really busy, and that's not too often."

Tate Cass | eighteen | twelfth grade | straight | Swim
Tate Cass Standing at about 6'3" with a lean build and a scruffy look to his pointed face is Tate Cass (Most just call him Cass). Beginning with his face, anyone who walks by will most likely not approach him. He has a dark, brooding look due to his icy blue eyes that typically hold a glare or judging stare. His tousled jet black hair and chiseled beard radiate a handsome feel to his face, although he never seems to notice. His nose is small yet slightly points out from his angular chin and sharp jaw. As for his smile, not many people get the chance to witness this genuine ounce of happiness. His face is normally made into a concentrated frown or thoughtful display of curiosity, creating a small frown line down the center of his forehead smack dab in between his thick pair of brows. He has long black lashes over his cold gaze and a slim mouth usually caught into a smirk of some sort. Cass also wears a pair of clear framed glasses to sharpen his vision while studying or just to avoid wearing contacts. Moving down, he has a wide set of shoulders and semi-muscular arms. His pecs and stomach show how much a trip to the gym can really do a man some good, but he doesn’t feel comfortable showing anything off on purpose. Cass is a bit tough to figure out, considering he doesn't let very many people in. He'd rather answer deep or tough questions with a smart tone or sly remark to avoid much explanation. Despite his reaction to human relations, Cass is very book smart. While reading many books and poems, his knowledge spreads over almost every subject and riddle. Considering how intelligent he is, those who get to know him say he's a know-it-all and they are not wrong in the slightest bit. In fact, the only information he tends to know does not always include books. From a distance he tends to casually overhear (he's nosy, though he will never admit to it) people’s conversations and use what he knows about them to either use their weaknesses or tease them nonchalantly. Because he is not considered approachable, Cass tends to act oddly stuck-up in person to fit what everyone else thinks of him. He does not like joking around or being around immature people but will occasionally try stifling a laugh once he finds something extremely hilarious. While not having the slightest bit of awareness to how rude he may seem sometimes, this may cause him not to understand the one thing he doesn't know: dealing with his emotions. Cass never likes to see others cry and tries not to be the cause of one's tears. Although he is not good at it, he tries to be considerate of others' feelings if the situation is vulnerable and offers a shoulder to cry on. Could it be that he's just a big teddy bear under all that rough skin? According to Cass, nobody will probably ever know.
