"Surprisingly, not too sure, but the answer is leaning towards no." Kobra Kid spoke up, quickly glancing over at Fun Ghoul and Party Poison. They were both locked in a deep conversation filled with whispering, clearly both on edge as their eyes darted around the room, narrowed only slightly. Kobra sighed, returning his masked gaze back to Irving. "Picked straight off of the desert. Not this desert, another one." Kobra said, remembering that this planet was basically desert from what the Doctor told them. "I honestly don't know what's happening between us and him." Kobra added truthfully, glancing towards the Doctor.

"That's what he does," Brax shrugged, glancing over at the curly haired man, "but he has good intentions, probably, unless you did something to piss him off. But, if you didn't, I suppose that this is his way of trying to be friends. The man's always been a bit odd." Always. There were multiple reasons why, but none of which Irving would've ever disclosed.

"He came crashing in when we were just on Route Guano ghosting some white suits so I don't know if we did anything to piss him off then." Kobra Kid said, putting a hand on his hip and looking over at the Doctor. "Maybe the introductions was a little off but really we just got done with some BLI so what could he really expect?" Kobra said this in a way that couldn't be fully described in words but if you heard him you got it. I guess it's his tone of voice. Not too sure. "Pretty odd indeed."

"Growing up with him was a pain," Brax informed, a bit loudly as the other Time Lord came over, blinking slowly at the exclamation, and as Brax nudged him as they came to stand side by side, "how are you?" "Fine," The Doctor said shortly, glancing up at him and then over at the Killjoys. He was ready to go. Clara was ready too, or he thought she was. Maybe he just wanted her to be. "Miss me?" Brax teased. "Not often," The Doctor said with a roll of his eyes, "come on, let's go." He began walking, not turning as Brax clucked his tongue and rolled his eyes, calling: "Is that any way to treat your big brother?" The Doctor ignored him.

Party Poison and Fun Ghoul threw each other strange glances, almost not wanting to follow the Doctor. Kobra Kid and Jet Star felt the same way, almost, almost unwilling to follow the old man. It was like something was holding them back, that just made then stand there only slightly awkwardly, staring after the old man with uncomfortable expressions as they tried to figure out what to do. This wasn't the Zones. They couldnt just go anywhere they pleased, because they didn't know jack-s//t about this place. Even if they were stuck somewhere in the very unrecognizable outskirts of a Zone, they always knew where they were. Not here. Obviously.
"We should probably go..." Poison whispered to the other Zonerunners, Kobra making a hissing noise as they all followed behind, albeit almost reluctantly.
"Are we headed back home?" Jet said, using the term "home" loosely. He meant the Zones, but they could stay anywhere for even a night and call it home. Home was used to widely and used for a variety of reasons it almost started to lose its meaning in trade for another one. Hell, home was almost used as a slang word.

"Yeah," The Doctor said, pulling out his phone once again to notify the shuttle driver that they were heading back. He pushed the down button on the elevator, stepping in as it opened, Clara behind him. Now, The Doctor might not've been able to tell that the Killjoys were uncomfortable, but Clara could. She wasn't sure what to say, cause she knew that they were going to be jumpy no matter what. The air in the elevator was tense as they descended, and she tried not to grit her teeth as they stopped at the bottom floor, the doors opened, and The Doctor walked out.

The Fabulous Killjoys all carefully followed the Doctor, Fun Ghoul's off-colour Frankenstein mask back on his face as he skidded right next to Party Poison, finding comfort in his taller friend. Only slightly. No, Poison cleared him easily by a couple inches. Even though it seemed small, in real life you could see that it seemed like Ghoul was two feet tall compared to Poison. Let alone Jet Star or Kobra Kid. All of these random thoughts ran through Ghoul's mind, and Ghoul just shook his head and chocked it up to nervousness. Instead he focused on what was ahead, which was indeed home. He wondered how the rest of the team were doing, and that was when he suddenly got a very bad feeling in his gut. One that made him freeze momentarily, earning him a strange glance from Poison, and one that made his eyes widen significantly.
"Uh oh..." Ghoul whispered, trying to rid himself of the strange feeling but was unable to. He knew that gut feelings were mostly correct, but as he tried to make sure it wasn't correct he couldn't shake off a part of his mind who just was kind of freaking out over this, wondering if they were all captured and being held for death inside of Battery City or some similar fate.

"What now?" The Doctor sighed over his shoulder, as Clara skipped ahead to walk next to him, throwing an arm around him, much to his displeasure. He had sort of noticed that the four were being twitchy, but he was trying to brush it off. If the one time he decided to be nice he was going to get assaulted or something by these guys... He pushed open the door back out to the road that led through a passageway under the building. The shuttle wasn't there yet, and he moved out of the way of the door, moving Clara with him. He glanced at the four, and then asked after a moment, "Are you all good?"

Fun Ghoul shivered as he felt chills roll down his spine, and he quickly shook his head and pulled his mask up to show that he was smiling. "No no, it's fine. Just got the chills, that's all." He knew his tone sounded fake, he knew that his lie was incredibly see through. But he tried. He wasn't that great of a liar in the first place anyway. He stumbled back and then jumped forwards as he bumped into Party Poison with a yelp, clearly on edge about everyjing. His gut didn't lie. That's why he was so damn worried.

"'Kay then," The Doctor said, scanning them over before looking to the mouth of the tunnel. There was definitely something wrong. Did they think that he was planning on trying something? Humph. Surely they were smart enough to realize that if he was trying to murder them, whatever, he would've done it by now. No one here was going to hurt them. He was the freaking president, for Christ's sake. If anyone did hurt them, he could have them thrown in jail for the rest of their lives. He was very grateful as the car pulled in, due to all of this, and he jumped in shotgun as soon as possible.

"Is everything alright?" Party Poison whispered to Fun Ghoul as they got into the shuttle, sitting farther to the back as the other filed in after them, sitting near the two the catch the gossip. Ghoul just dismissed Poison with a wave and a smile, muttering something about being hungry or whatever. But he knew it would be useless to lie to these people for they knew Ghoul as well as he did. But Ghoul just wished to get back on the Zones soon, for whatever lay there in wait for a discovery, surely was not good at all.

It didn't take them too long to get back to the TARDIS. The Doctor tipped the cabbie and led the way inside to the blue box, unlocking it and stepping inside. It hummed. Jack was sitting on the stairs, typing on his phone, but looking up and smiling as they came inside. Courtney was nowhere to be seen, but Ashildr was partially visible in one of the leather chairs on the top tier of the console room. "Hey, you get everything done?" Jack asked genially. The Doctor nodded, "Yep. How was the TARDIS?" "As usual," Jack replied, standing up and setting the book on the steps as he jogged down them.

Fun Ghoul made a beeline for the nearest sofa, plopping down in it and making sure he was comfy, only to be displaced as Party Poison threw himself down on the couch right next to Ghoul with a laugh from the redhead and a playful groan and an eyeroll from Ghoul as he made himself comfy again to the best of his ability. Jet Star and Kobra Kid wandered off to God knows where, but the two could hear some of their laughter and speech from wherever they had gone off too, meaning they weren't too far. "We going home?" Poison said, his head nudging onto Ghoul's rather comfortable shoulder.

"Yeah, if you want," The Doctor said, flipping off the break as Jack made his way to his usual spot at the console. He waggled hs eyebrows teasingly at the Captain, who stuck his tongue out in return. The Doctor was always in his best mood when leaving Gallifrey, mainly because he hated it there more than anywhere in the entire, entire universe.

A small comical 'yay!' could be heard from one of the halls, and it was clear that either Jet Star or Kobra Kid were listening in. Didn't surprise Fun Ghoul, really. "Well, yeah, I do want to make sure everything's okay." That was very true. He had tried to ignore this bad feeling, but it still prevailed. That meant either he had a weird-feeling sick stomach or that something bad had happened to the gang down in the Zones.

"Alright, then I guess we're going back to yours," The Doctor replied, tugging another lever down, and sending the ship rocking once again as Jack pressed buttons and kept it stable on the other side of the console. It didn't take long, as usual, and wasn't as bumpy as the first ride. Soon, the whole ship jolted like it always did when they landed, and the whirring stopped, finally stilling as the lights dimmed a little bit. "We're here.

AsAs soon as the ship stopped Fun Ghoul bolted upright, ignoring a small yelp from Party Poison as the raven haired rebel ran as fast as his shorter legs could take him to the front door, his toughened hand grasping the handle in a vice grip as he used the other to pull his bandana over his mouth. "Can I go?" Ghoul said, briefly glancing upwards at the sound of footsteps to see Jet Star and Kobra Kid running out of a random hallway and onto the catwalk above. Poison shot him a confused glance before following Ghoul to the door.

"Yeah, go ahead," The Doctor said with a shrug, exchanging a glance, complete with a furrowed brow and a perturbed frown across the console at Jack. Clara had stood up too, as had Ashildr, and Courtney had appeared from one of the hallways. They all smelled the anxiety coming off of Ghoul, but none of them knew what it was from. None of them ventured a guess out loud. None of them really wanted to.

Fun Ghoul, taking in a deep breath, pulled open the front door and raced outside, only to stop as he saw none of the lights on in the Diner. That was strange, and the bad feeling in his stomach increased a little bit but he chocked it up to them going somewhere. No need to worry... right?
Ghoul shook his head as he heard the other Killjoys following behind him, clearly also on edge as they knew that when Ghoul was nervous, it was never good. Ghoul whispered something about being alright as they all entered the Diner, the little bell on the door jingling as their footsteps echoed in the empty Diner. The bad feeling was almost sickening in here, as the eerie silence only broken by the noises made by the Fabulous Killjoys was definitely nerve wracking.
Suddenly, something shined in Kobra Kid's eye, and Kobra split off from the group to follow it, only to end up at the counter he was sat on just a couple hours ago. There was writing written in a shiny stuff, and as the words formed in his mind as he read it a loud gasp escaped his mouth.
Ghoul bolted over to his friend's side, almost knocking into him as he shouted "What?" desperately, his eyes almost eating up the words. Until they formed something that he didn't want to see.
Grace is missing. Went out to find her. We'll hopefully be back soon. ♡ -SP
Ghoul hated being right.

The Doctor's crew lingered outside the diner, whispering as the Killjoys gathered around the edge of the counter, guessing as to what they were looking at. Finally, Clara shouldered her way inside, staying by the door as she asked, "What's wrong?" She didn't see any bodies, or blood, and that was alway a good sign. At least no one had been hurt here, but what were they all looking at? She was too short to be able to see over their shoulders, and she didn't want to walk over there anyways. These guys, though nice, were volatile. Everyone was these days. She didn't want to piss them off.

Kobra Kid stepped backwards as Party Poison shouldered his way in, quickly reading through the text. He then slammed his fist against the counter with a scream of "DAMMIT!!" Which did startle Fun Ghoul and Kobra a little bit. Poison was breathing hard and very angry as he reread the words just to make sure he wasn't kidding himself, and sure enough he wasn't. Even though it had only been a couple hours, the BLI had fast reflexes and quick thinking on their side and could easily reach out and snatch things left unguarded.
"They have Grace." Poison growled, staring at Clara with a death glare and an equal sneer. Kobra had started to shake again, much more violently, Jet Star running over to him and wrapping Kobra up in a hug to try and calm him down. It was clear Kobra was starting to freak out, just by his expression of pure fear and shock and the way he seemed to melt back in Jet's calming touch with tears edging on his eyes you could tell that he was almost going to panic.

"I'm sorry," Clara said, meeting his glare with an equal one, jaw set firmly. She felt someone behind her, and a quick glance down to her shoulder revealed The Doctor's spidery hand resting there, knuckles white as if he needed to grip tight to steady her. She didn't need steadied, thank you very much, but if these four were going to blame this on them... And then The Doctor said, voicing her thoughts, "Well, if you think that that's our fault than that's a load of bull." Damnit, Doctor. Why couldn't he ever keep his thoughts to himself?

Party Poison shook his head and stared at the Doctor with grit teeth. "When did I ever say it was your fault?" Poison's voice was dark and deeper than normal. "We could have been chasing some Dracs on Zone 2 and this still could've happened." Poison spat out, his knuckles whiter than the Drac's uniforms as he held his hands in tight fists. "F//k..." Poison said, breaking one of the fists and grabbing the gun that the Doctor had given him, pointing it out of a broken window and pulling the trigger. He didn't even bother to look down the sights. A loud bang echoed through the Diner as the smashing of glass was heard as well, and finally a smile broke the angry surface of his face. "Perfect." He said.

Party Poison just rolled his eyes and hissed under his breath, looking towards the other Killjoys. "You guys coming?" He asked, cocking his eyebrow at them. Kobra Kid froze up, swearing his heart stopped as Jet Star nodded. He knew where they were going, and that was Hell on Earth. Battery City. There was no way Grace and the others were anywhere else. But Kobra knew he had to go. His kung-fu skills and quick reflexes always come in handy, even if he didn't have the sharpshootering ability that his older brother posessed. And that if they died there, which was a very, very real possibility, he wouldn't have to be alone with no closure or anything of the like. If this was suicide, they all might as well do it together.
Fun Ghoul was thinking the same as he stood next to Poison, taking his friend's hand into his own as he gave a tight squeeze, staring out the window at the old Trans-Am. "We're going." Ghoul said, looking up at Poison. Poison nodded, giving one last glance at the other rebels before shouldering past the Doctor, not caring is he was rough as he made it out of the door and towards the car, the other Killjoys following. They all got into the car, Poison jammed the keys into the ignition and the car roared to life.
"Um, before we go, uh, I just want to let you know from the bottom of my heart that I love you all so much, and whe- if we die here that uh, I'll try my best to find you in the afterlife." That surprised the rest of the Killjoys as those words exited Poison's mouth, Poison staring at his feet as he said those words. He knew that this was probably, most likely even suicide. But oh well. It wasn't like they weren't going to die anyway.
Poison shifted the car into gear and they sped off into the sunset towards Hell, or shall I say Battery City, grim thoughts on all of their minds and they knew they might not make it out alive.

"You're such an asshole!" Clara informed as they entered the TARDIS, Ashildr last, shutting the door. Of course, The Doctor didn't reply. He just headed out to the console, a scowl on his face and his shoulders hunched, making him look even older. She felt bad yelling at him, but oh, he deserved it. He wasn't a child. She wasn't going to let him off. But, The Doctor didn't understand why she was yelling. "I'm trying to keep you four safe!" he finally barked, fists clenching and unclenching on the console, "if we go with them, we're all going to die!" "They're going to die!" Clara informed through her teeth, "come on, we can't just leave them and that girl!" She looked to the others in the TARDIS: Jack, Courtney, Ashildr. Jack looked away, Courtney shrugged, biting at her lip, and Ashildr simply met her gaze. "We should go," Ashildr said after a moment, "if not to fight at least to... collect them, when it's over. They're good kids." And they were kids, god. She looked younger than them, but they were children to her. What, twenty something years old? They were so young, but she agreed with The Doctor. They had to protect their own. The Doctor frowned. He didn't like any of it, but after a moment he sighed and said, "Fine, we'll go, but we get there when we get there." By now, most everyone knew that the TARDIS essentially controlled where they went. So, he threw the lever, Jack coming to stand next to him, and they flew off into the forget, heading for Battery City.

("Collect them" I just got the chills oh)
It was a little bit later, the whole group tense as Party Poison's eyes flickered upward to see "DANGER: ENTERING ZONE TWO" printed on a sign up on a hill. He smiled, eyes flickering back downwards on the cracked asphalt of Route Guano. This would be difficult, so might as well get some backup along the way.
"Please tell me we're not doing this alone..." Kobra Kid said, his voice wavy as he stared out of the window. Poison chuckled darkly, shaking his head even thought his brother couldn't see it.
"No no." Poison said, already seeing a rebel setup off in the distance, and the looming towers of Battery City dotting the horizon. He theorized that along with Grace they had seized the opportunity to take some other rebelsas well, and even though he was ashamed to hope this he hoped he had taken one of the rebels that he was thinking of.
Soon enough they neared the rebel camp, and Poison went off of the beaten road and towards the camp, stopping right outside one of the few tents. Hopping out of it with Poison leading the way, they were almost immediately greeted with stifled sniffling and rustling as someone exited the tent. This man was someone the Killjoys didn't recognize. He was a good 5'6, which Ghoul was indeed happy about, with long black hair with bright pink tips hanging over his saddened brown eyes which did have red and very puffy rings like he had just been crying. He was wearing a long black shirt with a ripped black biker vest overtop, and long black skinny jeans with a shiny black belt. All topped off by black combat boots and an insanely yellow bandana.
"They took Card Trick." Most of the spoken things were through seemingly telepathy, as the Killjoys knew that they were just about to leave anyways.
"They took Grace." Poison said, staring at this man with determination in his hazel eyes. "You going?" He asked, cocking his eyebrow at the man.
"Yes, we were about to leave." The man said, and the rumbles of bikes could be heard a little bit away from there. "Dr. Benzedrine, by the way." Dr. Benzedrine said, giving a sad two finger salute as he pulled with bandana over his mouth. "We'll follow you. Good to have some backup." Benzedrine said, waving goodbye to them and disappearing behind a tent.
Poison nodded, the Killjoys getting back into the car and speeding towards Battery City. Only this time, they had three bikers on their tail. The YoungBloods.

The Doctor let them stay afloat in the vortex for the added time to grab weapons. Even if they were too late (which he could tell the mere idea of that was making Clara boil), there were still going to be Dracs and other nasties to take care of. So, Jack of course armed everyone, being the resident expert on all things that shot things. Even The Doctor took arms again, for the second time today, albeit a bit reluctantly. He didn't want to go and fight, but they were right. He couldn't control them. Once they had all made it back to the console room with their guns (even Courtney holding one), The Doctor and Jack began steering them towards the BLI's headquarters again. They were landing a couple blocks outside of it, to be safe. Well, not that you could be safe in one of those places. They were filled with informants to the BLI, and the BLI themselves, Dracs crawling everywhere...

Soon enough the rebels were entering the city limits of Battery City from the Zones, Kobra Kid keeping one eye on the YoungBloods to make sure they were still following, which they indeed where. Fun Ghoul and Jet Star kept their guns at the ready, their fingers prepared to frantically pull at the trigger whenever problems arose. Which they would very shortly. Party Poison just kept his eyes narrowed in on the road, sneering as they passed through the tunnel entrance to Battery City, Ghoul and Jet shooting at the guards through the open windows. Poison was pretty sure that the YoungBloods were as well, as different colours of blasts than the Killjoy's own lit up the darkened tunnel.
Soon they were in, the tunnel opening up to reveal a bright and happy city with the BLI happy face symbol peering at them from every corner. Kobra could see citizens pointing and staring at the beat up Trans-Am and the bikers, in utter awe that they were finally seeing the hardened criminals with fortunes for bounties having over their heads that lived in the unlivable and defied their saviours. But Poison didn't care about them, no, his eyes were focused on the main headquarters. He had a sinking feeling that the two Zonerunners lay in awful captivity there, and as Poison pressed the pedal to the metal his suspicion grew. He knew this was suicide.
But oh well. Might as well end it all together.

The Doctor landed. Glances were thrown around the TARDIS, every single person thin lipped and twitchy fingered as Clara spun around and headed for the door. The others followed, The Doctor last and with a heaving sigh. He didn't understand why they wanted to do this. They had only just met these guys, and there was a high likelihood that Clara or Courtney could die. He knew he would feel guilty. He knew that Jack and Ashildr would too. As they exited, they found themselves surrounded by the mindless sheep of this city, of course. It was a sad sight to see for anyone, but they couldn't help them right now, or maybe not ever. They had to get to those headquarters, the big gleaming building, and as The Doctor locked the TARDIS behind him he couldn't help but feel a certain tightness in his chest and they began to shove through the throng of gawking, babbling people. Was he scared? Hell yeah. The BLI was a scary, scary thing. They were piece by piece destroying the planet he loved. He hated them, and now they were walking right into their headquarters.
