Intro You were walking through the city of New York. The mundanes were asleep, so now all the Downworlders were coming out. Pretty soon, the fighting broke out. New York is split in two now. Warlocks and Vampires claimed one side, and the Werewolves and Faeries on the other. The Institute was split in half. There were some glares thrown about, but in a sense there was still a sense of unity within the Institute. Your best friend was on the opposite side of you, so you were upset most of the time, but you didn't let it show. You would go to Idris, but they were split, too. In fact, the whole Shadow World was split in two. Someone needed to stop this, or the whole world would eventually erupt into flames or something disastrous like that. You made a resolution to yourself that you would end the Shadow War. Even if it killed you.Background The Shadow World was once peaceful, and everything was in order. That was until the Werewolves and Vampires started fighting each other over petty things, and then the Warlocks and Faeries teamed up with each side. Things escalated and the fighting turned out into an all-out war. The Shadowhunters, being the protectors of the mundane, tried to stop the war before it started, but eventually the Shadowhunter population split into two. Half went with the Werewolves and the Faeries, and half went with the Warlocks and the Vampires. They try not to fight around mundane, but the mundanes are noticing that something is up.History The Shadow World is made up of Demons, Faeries, Shadowhunters, Vampires, Warlocks, and Werewolves. Of course Mundanes are in there somewhere, but they don’t know about the Shadow World, unless they have the Sight, which is a rare occurance. The Shadowhunters keep the balance between all the species, including themselves. There was a time where Demons ran wild and terrorized the Mundanes around 1000 AD. The Shadowhunters rose up with the help of an angel, Raziel, & the first Shadowhunter, Jonathan Shadowhunter. The Shadowhunters fought off the Demons and later, in 1872, made treaties with all the Downworlders. Those treaties are called the Accords. Every Downworlder, including the Shadowhunters, have to abide by them.Rules 1. No being rude. Be respectful. Isn't that easy enough? 2. No spotlighting or godmodding. 3. No Mary Sues or Gary Sues. 4. Your character can't be pink or have wings. We are realistic here. 5. Be active. Don't join and run, and come on here a reasonable amount. If you are absent for a long period, you will be deleted. 6. Tell us if you are going to leave. If you go on a vacation without telling us and you never come on, you will be deleted. 7. Don't be inappropriate. We worked very hard on this and don't want it to be deleted. 8. Follow the forum rules and ghost rules. 9. Be literate. No one liners, please. We want at least 2 or 3 lines. 10. You can have more than one character. Just try to keep the species and genders relatively even.

Need To Know
Downworlders:
Demons- Malevolent, inter-dimensional beings that travel between worlds, destroying everything in their path. They return to their home dimension, the Void, when they die. They come in a large variety of species and forms, their numbers said to be infinite. Demons take different forms, though whether it is their true form is a mystery. Demons are easily recognizable, unless they are shapeshifters. Demons almost always take on monstrous appearances on Earth, and they can also usually be discerned by the uncanny, nauseating feeling that bellows around them like a dark aura. In addition to their general hideousness, demons often carry with them a debilitating scent of death that can be very strong. Demons' bodies are kept fresh by ichor. Their ichor, infused with demon energies, is black, with a slight green tint, and viscous, as opposed to the golden blood of angels, and is thinner than human blood but totally opaque. While ichor is not generally dangerous, it is somewhat toxic, and some are acidic and can burn what it touches. While the usual range of protective Marks protect from this, many demons are still poisonous, wherein the healing rune iratze is ineffective. When demons die, this energy is separated from its physical body and will return to its home dimension; others, particularly "Greater Demons", are shattered into pieces and scattered in between worlds, taking them centuries to reform. Their disappearance vary with the type of demon. Most common demons cannot speak human languages. A large number of types are, however, able to parrot human speech that they have heard. This is often a sign that a demon has been summoned rather than coming to Earth on its own. There are a number of demon languages that the Nephilim and warlocks have identified and learned, including Chthonic, Purgatic, Gehennic and Tartarian. The most immediate weakness of demons is their vulnerability to angelic power and heavenly fire. However, like the Downworlders they brought into being, they cannot easily, or permanently, be harmed by normal earthly weapons, so most Shadowhunter weapons are Marked to strengthen them against demons. Seraph blades are the main weapon used against them, and they are unable to stand the direct form of sunlight.
Faeries- Also known as Fey or Fair Folk. They are the least understood of all species, besides angels, and they are believed to be demon-angel hybrids, but they have human souls. The Fair Folk are known for their unearthly beauty and fair skin, appearing in various pastel hues of blues, greens, and violets, even pearl, to name a few. Faeries commonly incorporate flora and multiple forms of vegetation as part of their ensemble. Many faeries are extremely attractive with delicate and regal faces and exquisitely colored features, such as their eyes, with colors "as clear as glass". They have two courts: Seelie and Unseelie. The Seelie Court has a Seelie Queen, while the Unseelie Court has an Unseelie King. The gentry subdivision faeries are the knights, kings and queens, and court members; they are close to the monarchs and considered a part of the central Court society. They mostly resemble human beings, with the pointed ears and an occasional other odd quality. The common folk are the other kinds of faeries such as nixies, pixies or piskies, brownies, selkies, satyrs, mermaids, kelpies, hobgoblins, and boggarts; they generally look less like humans. They are committed to honor and etiquette, but play on words often. They are cunning, have a cruel sense of humor, and they are unable to lie(unless they are half-fey; they can easily lie), but they love to manipulate each other and other species. They posses swiftness and gracefulness, like werewolves, and some Fey have wings. Not only do they have the Seelie and Unseelie Courts, they have the Wild Hunt, who is neutral between the Courts. The Wild Hunt wonder around and can fly on their steeds, and they are often heard by their horn and be seen as shooting stars.
Shadowhunters- Also known as Nephilim, are a secretive race of beings who are humans born with angelic blood. They are the appointed warriors on Earth of the Angel Raziel. They are appointed specifically to control and preside over the Shadow World, as well as over the demons and Downworlders who inhabit it. Their mandate is to keep the peace in the Shadow World and keep it hidden from the mundane world while protecting the inhabitants of both worlds. Despite their ancestry, Shadowhunters are mortal and therefore vulnerable to old age and death; however, their angelic blood endows them with special abilities that allow them to achieve feats beyond humanly possible through the application of angelic runes. The Nephilim follow a strict set of rules set out in Codex and the Covenant. The Clave is the general organization of all Nephilim, headed by the Council, the governing body of the Clave, the Consul being the highest appointed official. The Clave keeps and interprets the Law, and decides on important matters that affect the Nephilim. Members of the Clave all have rights to contribute to any Clave issue under discussion. When Shadowhunters reach adulthood at the age of eighteen, they must decide whether to declare their allegiance to the Clave and become full Clave members, or to leave their life behind for some reason. Members of the Clave are then divided into smaller groups in different countries and cities of the world: Enclaves in most of the world, and Conclaves in the Americas and Australia. Institutes serve as their seats of power, and every active Shadowhunter answer to them. While these regional groups coordinate their own local decision making and organizational structures as they see fit, the Clave may still interfere in some cases. The motto of the Covenant, and therefore, the Shadowhunter population, is “Sed lex dura lex. The Law is hard, but it is the Law.” The Nephilim do not conform to any mundane religion as they have allied themselves with every mundane belief system. Most Shadowhunters spend their younger years as warriors. An exception would be when Shadowhunters join one of their two monastic orders: the Silent Brothers and the Iron Sisters. Shadowhunters may be trained at a very young age, by their parents or other mentors and guardians. Some Shadowhunters may train at an academy in Idris, or at Institutes in other parts of the world. Shadowhunters were given runes by the Angel Raziel, all contained in the Book of the Covenant and copied into the Gray Book. These runes, or Marks, are applied on the Shadowhunters' skin and gives different effects and abilities. Parabatai is the term for two Shadowhunters who fight alongside each other. These Shadowhunters are partners and are particularly close to each other. Shadowhunters have the option to choose their parabatai before they turn 18, after which the option will the longer be available to them; in fact, having parabatais is quite uncommon among the Nephilim. The runes drawn by one's parabatai are stronger than those used by another. Also, there are some runes that can only be used by parabatai for it draws on the parabatai's double strength. It is forbidden for two parabatai to fall in love with each other. If this happens, they will be separated. Most Shadowhunters don't have a parabatai, so they are not very common. In a Shadowhunters life, they can only have one parabatai, even if their partner dies. The Nephilim's motto is "Facilis descensus Averno," or "Descensus Averno facilis est," which means "The descent into hell is easy" in Latin

Vampires- Also known as the Children of the Night, are a species of Downworlders. Along with werewolves, vampires are humans infected with a demon disease. However, unlike the former, vampires are considered "undead"; that is, their bodies are no longer alive in the sense that living humans' are. Their undeparted human souls reside within their own animated corpses, kept intact and animated by the demon disease and energy. Vampires generally tend to look pale, sallow, and thin, as though weakened by malnourishment or disease. Contrary to this semblance of death, their blood shimmers a bright red, brighter than the blood of humans; they even shed blood instead of tears when they cry. Being reanimated corpses, vampires do not have a heartbeat, nor do they need to breathe, although they are able to inhale oxygen in order to utilize their heightened sense of smell, to pass as human, or to blow on something. Their lack of breath makes them impervious to such things as asphyxiation, drowning, or gases. A vampire and a sire also have some sort of connection. Particularly, upon the death of one's sire, a vampire will experience a momentary jolt of pain, presumably feeling the same pain their sire felt at death. Additionally, the dirt of the grave in which a vampire was buried holds special properties for that vampire. He or she can tell, for instance, if that grave has been disturbed or is being trod upon or if dirt from that grave is removed from its site. Vampires also cannot be tracked by normal tracking magic, either demonic or Nephilimic; however, powerful vampires tend to travel with mundane subjugates who can be tracked. Like warlocks, vampires are immortal and sterile; though unable to bear children, they are able to continue their vampiric bloodline by turning humans into vampires. Like werewolves, they possess superhuman strength, grace, speed, and the unnaturally accelerated healing abilities inherent in most other Downworlders and are able to heal quickly from most mundane injuries. Their most prominent ability is their raw physical strength, which allows them to subdue any mundane prey with little effort. Allegedly, their abilities increase and grow stronger as they grow older. Power from a sire, the one who gave them the vampire blood that enabled them to turn, is also seemingly shared or transferred, to some extent, to those to they turn, mainly because this is how vampires pass their powers to each other—through blood. Their most mysterious power is the encanto, or "fascination", the power to mesmerize and essentially control their prey. Vampires can, with simple prolonged eye contact, convince mundanes and even Shadowhunters of almost anything, and can persuade them into almost any act. This is a skill that must be developed and practiced by vampires. Vampires are comfortable in darkness; their eyes adjust to seeing in darkness and seeing in light almost instantly, much faster than the eyes of humans. Vampires also have sharper hearing and eyesight than humans, and any fledgling who wore glasses in life will no longer need them as a vampire. Vampires can also shapeshift into bats, rats, and dust, maintaining their intelligence in either forms. Vampires are extremely vulnerable to fire, Holy water and blessed materials, sunlight/witchlight(unless a Daylighter), stakes, and silver.
Warlocks- Also known as Lilith's Children, are an immortal race of Downworlder offsprings of demons and mundanes. A universal trait among them are their warlock or demon marks, a part of their body that is strange or unique that identifies them as unearthly. These can be extra, inhuman body parts such as bat wings, goat feet, lizard tails, scaled hands, cat eyes, or differently-colored skin and hair. Additionally, warlocks are unable to have children. Warlock pregnancy always results in stillbirth as they are crossbreeds and are thus sterile. Along with faeries, warlocks are the only Downworlders who can cast magic because of their demon blood; unlike vampires and werewolves, who were merely infected by demonic diseases. Because of their willingness to use magic when asked by mortals, usually for a price, even Shadowhunters work with warlocks, as partners or as hired specialists, to allow the Nephilim to make use of some of the demonic magic that their own powers and nature exclude them from. The language they use to cast spells is called Chthonian. Few warlocks opt to marry, let alone adopt a child, though it happens. Warlocks are independent and mostly keep to themselves, hence they do not have an established community or organized society. However, most warlocks are usually acquainted with each other and at least have way of contacting one another. High Warlocks are also seemingly appointed in every major city or locality around the world; known High Warlocks include Magnus Bane, Malcolm Fade, Ragnor Fell, and Aldous Nix.
Werewolves- Also known as Lycanthropes and the Children of the Moon, are a species of Downworlders. Like vampires, werewolves are humans infected with a demonic disease, which gives them the ability to transform—or Change—into powerful wolves and gain their inhuman strength and enhanced capabilities. Lycanthropy transforms a human into a werewolf, a demihuman whose demonic infection causes them to transform into a large and dangerous wolf under the light of the full moon, though they can also Change at will. Werewolves in their lupine form are not merely wolves; they possess unnatural strength and speed comparable to that of demons, and their claws and canines are strong enough to be able to slash through a chain-link fence or bite through a padlock. While they still bear a little resemblance to their human selves while Turned, their eyes become that of a wolf's, and even their eye color changes to either blue or a bright color ranging from yellow to orange or gold. In addition to their supernatural strength, grace, and reflexes, werewolves have the same unnaturally accelerated healing abilities as most other Downworlders. They cannot regenerate a severed limb, but they can recover quickly from most mundane wounds. In human form, they look fairly normal, albeit a little ragged, as many of their kind do not care much about their appearances and do not bother to clean themselves up. Werewolves also retain their superhuman speed and strength while in human form. Werewolves are also mortal; they age and die normally like ordinary humans, though they do grow slightly faster. Werewolves are created by a bite, born from two werewolf parents, or can be Turned through a spell. The only ways to permanently wound or kill a werewolf are either with the angelic fire of a seraph blade or with pure silver. Werewolves, like vampires, must belong to a group; or, in their case, with a pack. The Praetor Lupus is in charge of ensuring that all new Downworlders find their place in their respective society, including finding packs for orphaned werewolves. Each pack is lead by an alpha wolf, and any werewolf that kills that leader will subsequently gain control of the pack.

Key Terms:
Accords- The Accords acts as amendments to the Covenant agreed to be taken as the law of the land by all of the Shadow World, a treaty that ordains how Shadowhunters and Downworlders interact with mundanes and one another, as well as each group's rights, responsibilities, and restrictions. With the Accords, groups of Downworlders also in peace with the Accords agree to the same oath to never reveal the truth of the Shadow World to mundanes. The Accords are revised and signed every fifteen years by representatives of these groups.
Covenant- The Covenant is the Law upheld by the Clave. It provides the rules of conduct for Shadowhunters and Downworlders. The Covenant protects the rights of Shadowhunters to enforce civilized relations among the Clave, Downworld, and the mundane world, and also protects the rights of Downworlders so that they may not be maltreated by Shadowhunters. It is also the Covenant that guarantees that the Shadow World remains shadowed from the mundane world. The Covenant also elaborates on the legal system of the Shadowhunters.
Downworlder- Supernatural beings and hybrid creatures who inhabit the Shadow World. Downworlder is the widely used term to refer to beings that are said to be part human and part demon, and are even said to be the demonic counterpart of Shadowhunters, who are part human and part angel. They include werewolves, vampires, warlocks and faeries. Although demonic in origin and nature, Downworlders possess human souls and are counted as members of the human race by the denizens of Heaven. Downworlders normally cannot bear runes. However, the Alliance rune created by Clary Fray can be applied on them, allowing them to share abilities with Shadowhunters.
Fledgling- Are humans in transition to Turning into vampires; they are considered not-yet or newly born.
Forsaken- Beings who were once mundanes who have gone insane upon receiving powerful runes they are unable to handle. They cannot be returned to humans and have no knowledge of their previous existence. They come in different forms.
Ifrits- Warlocks born without the ability of casting magic
Iron Sisters- The Sisters design and forge their weapons; they are the keepers of adamas, the holy metal given to them by Raziel. They reside in the Adamant Citadel.
Runes- Also known as Marks, are symbols that grant beings various supernatural abilities, with both angelic and demonic runes known to exist. For Shadowhunters, runes are a complex runic language given to them by the Angel Raziel, which grants them powers beyond those of mundanes. Runes are burned into Shadowhunters' skin using steles, and are their most common tool in their fight against demons.
Seraph Blades- Are the primary weapons of the Shadowhunters. They are made of adamas and crafted by the Iron Sisters. They call upon the power of angels' names to access the power of the blades. Before the blade can be used, a Shadowhunter must name it to invoke its power. Any angel's name, except for Raziel's, can be called upon. Within the Shadowhunter community, it is often believed that when a Shadowhunter names a seraph blade, the blade not only becomes engulfed by heavenly fire, but some of the named angel's spirit is infused into the blade as well.
Silent Brothers- The Brothers serve as the keepers of their lore and knowledge; they serve as their librarians, researchers, and occasional medics. They reside in the Silent City, also known as the City of Bones.
Silent Brothers- The Brothers serve as the keepers of their lore and knowledge; they serve as their librarians, researchers, and occasional medics. They reside in the Silent City, also known as the City of Bones.
Steles- Are the tools used by Shadowhunters to draw runes onto their skin, weapons, and other materials. They are made of adamas and crafted by the Iron Sisters.
Subjugate- Also known by the archaic term darklings, are humans who have consumed enough vampire blood to Turn and are considered half-turned. They are typically mundanes kept around by vampires to feed on when they're short on blood. These subjugates are loyal to the vampire they serve, drawn to them and hoping to become vampires themselves once they die.
Witchlight- A light, flat, smooth gray stone that emits light, giving off a pure white glow when held by Shadowhunters. All Shadowhunters carry witchlight stones to remind them that light can be found even among the darkest shadows, and also to supply them with actual light when they are literally among dark shadows.Members Flickeringshadow- Abigail Lightwood, Logan Lightwood, Ashton Herondale, Dylan Carstairs, Maximus Griffths, Nicole Gray, Katherine Whitedream, and Nicholas Keysilver Bαмвoo- Hydrangea ❧𝓖𝓸𝓵𝓭𝒆𝓷𝓝𝓾𝓰𝓰𝒆𝓽☙- Allina Fairchild, Nathan Fairchild, Mckenzie Fairchild, Michael Branwell, Austin Whitewillow, Noah Cross, Camille Gilbert, and Jessilyn Quinn Sweetclover1- Emory Penhallow Mossfire- Leila Goldhawk

Hydrangea could feel her eye twitching and she had no idea why. Was it even twitching that she was feeling? Either way, it was uncontrollable, and did not feel like it was going to stop any time soon. Sighing, she continued to wash a Taki's Diner's counter with the dirty washcloth that no one wanted to change. It was placing more dirt than it was cleaning, but that dirt would just be left for another poor Downwolder to "clean". Sighing, she threw the cloth to the side and gazed out at the customers. She eyed their appearances, noting their comfortableness, their chemistry with their partner, and their confidence. There was no one you could really trust during this extremely divided time. Hydra met the stare of one of the multiple customers, planning on throwing a wink their way until she realized her eye was still twitching. Sighing, she began to massage her eye discreetly, glancing with the other eye at the order her co worker had slid to her.

Okay. I was just making sure I could rp anyone. xD Since, ya know, some people have preferences. xP ]
Every time I look at your profile picture, I think of Johnathan Bennett. xD ]
Nick ran his hand through his blonde hair as he hummed. He saw a diner, so he decided to go in and see what they had. He walked in and looked around, noticing how dirty the diner in. He scrunched his nose at all the scents bombarding his senses, and he shifted on his feet, contemplating if he wanted to stay here or not. He shrugged and walked over to a booth where he sat down, sinking down to where he was slouched and his knees were almost touching the top of the table. He flicked his hair out of his face as he looked at a menu that was at the table. He decided to get a root beer and a burger with a double serving of fries. He was starving, and he turned into a ravenous beast, so why not act like it sometimes? He placed the menu down and closed his eyes, leaning back. He decided to play around with the scents and identify what was here.

{Aha thanks for taking the initiative. Oh, Johnathan Bennett. Such a nice face c:}
Hydra skimmed the order. Double serving of fries? Must be a werewolf. She stirred the root beer requested with a straw and shifted the fries into one large container with the other hand. She grabbed an already prepared burger (unfortunate for whoever that was supposed to be's) and put all three parts onto a silver platter. Ah, the jokes she enjoyed playing. Hydra looked around the bar for available waiters, and found none. Grumbling to herself about the inconveniences of this stupid job, she strutted gracefully to hand the werewolf his order (inspect him, more accurately). She also wanted to see his reaction to the silver platter because who doesn't love a little entertainment? Hydra skimmed his appearance, noting his relaxed structure, and tall-looking appearance. He was handsome, she couldn't help admitting to herself.

{yes ah I grieved when he was eliminated in what was it, week 6? 5? I'm not entirely sure why you think of PJ haha I think of Summer of Moonlight Secrets. I doubt you've read it, I don't think it was very popular. Ok I'll talk to you then!}
Hydra sighed at his indifference to the platter. "Do you mind if I sit with you for a little? I'm so tired of this horrid job. I'd blend in very well I think." Without waiting for an answer, she slid herself into the booth seat in front of him, grabbing a french fry. Sure, faeries are meant to be delicate and polite and prim and perfect, but that's just it-meant to be. Plus, she walked all the way to him to give him those fries. Why not have one for herself? She gazed around the diner. There was a clear split. One side filled with warlocks and vampires and a few spare shadowhunters, while the other was compiled of all kinds of faeries, werewolves, and a single mundane out of the entire diner. Hydra wondered if the mundane had the Sight or had just managed to stumble in somehow. Sighing with boredom, she turned to face the werewolf and waited for him to say something.

I forget which dance I liked from Bennett on DWTS the most, but I was upset when he was eliminated. I think I think of PJ because he snuck into a Selkie hide-out and made their base erupt(it was in a volcano), and he killed all of the Selkies there. xD ]
Nick just stared at the Fae for a while before he carefully picked up his burger. "Sure, I don't mind at all. Make yourself comfortable." His voice was dripping with sarcasm since the Fae had already sat down and stolen one of his fries. He rolled his eyes and bit into his burger. It was an ok burger, but it was better than nothing. He waited until he had finished his bite before staring at the Fae. He asked,"So, I suppose I should ask your name, since we're allies in this whole bloody war." His wrist accidentally grazed the plate, and he hissed in pain, looking at how bad it had burned him. It wasn't that bad, and he was happy about it. He ate half of his burger before he put it down and started working on his fries. He took his gaze off the Fae and looked around the diner, noticing the mundane. He knew he had scented a mundane, and he had wondered why it was in here. He gazed at the warlocks and vampires at the other side of the diner before he focused on his plate again.
[ Wait. What time of day is it? If it's day time, then there shouldn't be any vamps out. xD ]

{Let's just make it so the vampires are in a closed off area where no sunlight reaches them. Hm, 4 pm maybe? On a side note, hi winterfell! It's nice to meet you! Were you on the old forums?}
Hydra nods at him, finishing off the french fry and going for a second. "My name's Hydrangea, but most just call me Hydra. Hydrangea's such a complicated name, see. And your's?" She sighed, not waiting for a response. "You seriously couldn't have gotten a cup of ketchup? Everyone knows fries are so much better with ketchup." Hydra followed his gaze. "You know that mundane?" She doubted his answer, but decided it was best to make small talk considering she was technically eating his fries. Well, he was lucky she hadn't gone for that burger as well. It looked delicious, with the barbecue sauce sliding down it's sides. She chuckled to herself. Everyone thinks that faeries (and selkies) have the slightest of appetities, but in reality. She considered this thoughtfully. Maybe it was actually because she was a selkie. Eh, whatever, this was getting too deep of a thought process.

I'll put that on the Character Page. ] Nick looks at Hydra before looking at his fries that the fae was taking, and he narrowed his eyes slightly. He would move his plate, but it was silver, so he really couldn't. He said,"Nick. Name's Nick, and I know. I'm just too lazy. Ever seen a lazy werewolf?" He picked up his burger and started finishing it off while staring at the fae, slightly protective of the remainder of his fries. If she took another fry, he wouldn't hesitate to growl or bite. He looked at the mundane and shrugged. "Looks familiar. He lives round here, and he goes to the park often. I think he's also bullied, but who am I to know?" He had finished his burger, and now was working on the second portion of fries. "Do you know the mundane?"

Effy rewarded herself after a day of training by a meal at Taki's. She left the institute freshly showered, faintly smelling of vanilla body wash and her long dark hair still a little damp. Eventually, when she arrived at the diner she sensed a level of tension in a usually relaxed atmosphere. Immediately the brunette noticed the crowds were split in two groups, much like the rest of new York. Effy shot glares at the Wolves and Fae, she never trusted the latter anyway since they always spoke in riddles. She quickly ordered her coffee and pancakes and sat on the opposite side of the Diner.

"Lazy werewolves get killed, so no, I can't say I have," she says absent-mindedly, debating on whether or not to go for another french fry. She decided against it. "Bullied?" Hydra looks up, surprised. "By who? His classmates? Ah, mundanes, of course, always turning on their own kind." She furrowed her colorful eyebrows to inspect the mundane closer. "I still don't understand why he is here." Hydra gazed at the newcomer. Very pretty, she admitted to herself. "Who's that?" she asked thoughtfully, watching the new brunette situate herself into the diner. "She looks quite familiar, who ever it is she is exactly."

"We faeries do have a bad habit of mixing in with the other sort," she said thoughtfully, reaching for his soda, flipping around the straw, and taking a sip from it. Hydra usually had better manners, but she knew she was getting on his very last nerves. "No, I've definitely seen her somewhere else. Maybe from a dream? Actually," she looked at him, mildly surprised. "I once dreamt about you, werewolf. Perhaps you should go check out why random fae are dreaming of you." Quickly changing the subject, she continued to stare at the Shadowhunter. "Maybe we should go speak to her."

Nick shrugged. "I don't care, honestly. I don't really want to go over there, plus it seems she hates us. See, she's glaring at us. If you want to go over there and talk, you go for it, or you'll end up dragging me over there." He took his drink and sipped it. "Besides, you're asking to go to enemy territory, and I'm not going over there." He flipped the bangs out of his face and finished his fries. He slid his cup right in front of him, sliding his plate away with the cup, and played with the straw. He didn't look at the Shadowhunter, but instead, he looked at the mundane to see if he could remember where he knew the boy from.

"You think there's a way to stop all this fighting between the two sides?" she asked thoughtfully. "It makes life real difficult." Hydra snatched the straw from him, throwing it up in the air and letting it twirl. "Perhaps I should drag you over there. Maybe by talking to the shadowhunter we'll stop the violence. Like we'd be in the middle of like Spartan and Athenian warriors coming from opposite sides, about to collide, and we'd just be kneeling there with our shields. You know? That'd be cool."
