Pikesplash
seeker's point with Tallbird 𝚛𝚊𝚒𝚗𝚢
Others may have relaxed in the silence; however, Pikesplash knew Tallbird and she knew him. He knew his mate wouldn't be brash and approach the subject of kits with firm words. They were both aware how he felt about kits. Pikesplash never mentioned his fear out-loud, admitting it was something else entirely, but his cherished mate was smart as a whip. She knew.
He padded along the path, comforted as their fur brushed against each other. As comforting the gesture usually was... the subject at hand had the tom's stomach in knots.
"If anyone could handle two apprentices at once, it would be my mother," amusement lacing his meow. The thought of his mother herding around two young cats was entertaining, she'd love it, of course.
He drew to a stop and turned to face Tallbird. If they were truly going to have this conversation, he didn't want to have it with sidelong glances. "I know," he muttered, his voice suddenly soft. Kits were always a part of their long term plan. He let out a deep sigh, glancing away for a moment to gather the courage, before looking back to his mate. Pikesplash knew he needed to be truthful to her and himself.
"I want them, I really do," he admitted wistfully, the thought of a calico kit with green eyes like his warmed his heart. Pikesplash shifted on his paws, a fearful shadow shifting across his face, "But I don't want to lose you. I can't lose you," his green eyes pleading for her to understand. He didn't know what he would do without Tallbird. He didn't know Beartuft managed with the loss of his mate. Pikesplash would surely die without the calico by his side to love and grow old with.

Oh boy, Poppypounce fretted as she scrambled backwards, yet it happened she wasn't fast enough to move the safety from the path of the older warrior. Her amber eyes going wide as Shellheart sailed over the wall and with perfect aim, tumbling into her. In their peripheral vision, water droplets went flying everywhere.
A shriek instinctively escaped from her, as they collided together and fell to the ground. Poppypounce let out a wheezy breath. She may have ended up using Shellheart as a cushion. The impact still felt like it knocked the air out of her lungs. She coughed as she rolled off of the tom, practically star-fishing the ground, look who is the fish now, she thought with a pant.
In the distance, she could hear the shrieking and cawing of birds. Hopefully none of their clanmates were hunting in the area. The two of them probably just scared all of the birds along the coast.
"Yea no," Poppypounce huffed, titling her head to shoot him an unreadable look, probably because she felt like she couldn't breathe, that, or maybe it was shock, "You are insane. I thought cats were supposed to become more graceful when they got old." The calico molly took in another deep breath, and a startled laughter escaped from her at his question of concern. "Am I okay? Are you okay?" Reaching over to gently paw at him. They did in fact just fall off the wall. This was incredibly funny. "I landed on you, not the other way around. I'd probably dead if you landed on me," she reasoned with a smug smile and mischievous gaze. She'd already called him old, implying he was also heavy wasn't going to make a world of difference now.

Tallbird
seeker's point with Pikesplash (Blaze ♡)
It would be a moment later when Tallbird would finally register Pikesplash's halted steps, and nearly bumps into him as he faces her, but only results in her wet nose grazing against his. She backs up enough to properly look at him and sit back on her haunches, tail curling around her thin paws. His tone goes soft and for the first time she feels nerves starting to seep in, a type of anxiety that is rare for the molly to experience that even spikes when he looks away from her. Still, she stays characteristically calm and waits for Pikesplash's explanation.
She watches him, ever perceptive of all of his little isms. So, of course she notices his shifting, can see the fear plain on his face. It's hard for her to sit still, the need to comfort him growing more and more, but she wants to hear him out, wants to be present for him.
Then her heart nearly breaks with his next words and it shows. The calico doesn't stop herself as she swoops in, curling against her mate like she's trying to wrap her body around him. Tallbird licks over his chest, his muzzle, and then finally his cheek before she finally responds. "You're not going to lose me, Pikesplash, ever." Easier said than done, but she wanted to reassure him.
"Our situation is going to be different." Tallbird sounds so determined when she says it, like she knows it without a doubt. Her tail rubs up and down the tabby tom's spine, like she's trying to drown him in affection. "I'm scared too, but that shouldn't stop us from raising the family we've always wanted." She offers a comforting smile, maneuvering herself so she faces Pikesplash once again, tapping her nose against his. "Besides, you won't be able to get rid of me that easily. If I die then I'll refuse to go to Starclan without you, and I'll haunt you until we can move on together." A purr rises in her throat, her attempt at making light of the conversation.

A huff of laughter escaped from him at his mother's stern expression, that was ever so fading. She had the patience of a saint, dealing with him and Pikesplash's antics. Not that he and his brother were bad kits, they were just brothers; competitive, playful, and daring.
"You can always disown Pikesplash," Beartuft suggested with a mischievous grin and added with a gentle snicker, "Get some of that youthful beauty back." His whiskers twitched and let out a deep sigh, "He was always the problem child, you know", his green eyes gleaming, very well knowing the truth that the two were both equally the hassle like his mother was saying, "I was just there." Helping out, not that needed to be spoken out-loud.

Pikesplash was all about truth and honesty. This was one truth he wanted to flee from, take Tallbird and ran for the hills, never looking back. Yet that would be the cowardly way, and Tallbird deserved better.
It was easy to sink into the calico's molly embrace to find comfort. He closed his eyes as his mate's tongue rasp over his fur in a comforting manner. It worked. The tension slowly releasing from his shoulders; however, even though the physical evidence was gone. The fear still lingered. It was probably going to be something that would stay with Pikesplash. The thought of Tallbird dying.

"Finally," he mewed, "Some warm weather would be nice. Maybe some prey will finally show themselves."
He then briefly glanced towards the entrance of the camp, before he shook his pelt. His paws were itching to do something. His eyes looked to the sky, basking in the sunlight.
Maybe some hunting? He thought, his tail whisking around in thought. Or patrolling?
"Mind hunting with me?" He asked, his blue eyes shining with hope, "Or do you have some other business to attend to?"

Rustpaw
at the hut with Deerpaw (𝚛𝚊𝚒𝚗𝚢 )
He stared at Deerpaw as the tom spoke to him. He was understanding everything he was saying, but it made him even more nervous. He looked at the hut and at Deerpaw, Rustpaw shook himself, trying to rid himself of his fear.
"Okay.... I'll try." He mewed, trying to convinced himself that he can do it.
If I fall and break something, I blame you. He added silently. Rustpaw moved to the hut, scanning it for a good way to climb.
