Very annoyed that I can't just casually enjoy something. I have the time to juggle 6+ jobs/hobbies/activities, but unfortunately I always neglect some things I really want to spend time on because my brain has room for 2, maybe 3, obsessions at at time. If I can't obsessively do something, then my brain doesn't want anything to do with it lol
Currently these obsessions are my summer job, the LSAT, and Saturday Night Live. But I'm very frustrated that my reading has fallen by the wayside

I’ve accidentally outed myself a few times now because somebody said they had a hyperfixation. I’ll get excited and start over sharing about mine only to find out they’re not that intense about it and then I’m like “oh. I think maybe we’re not talking about the same thing actually” and feel really awkward. I’m beginning to think that neurotypicals have started misusing that word the same way they misuse OCD. Anyone else find this annoying? i see this a lot and its very annoying / disheartening. your situation especially is pretty rough: thinking someone is also autistic/has adhd and only finding out that no, they arent, and you just accidentally outed yourself. that couldve been a worse situation depending on who you were talking to :( it sucks a lot when marginalized groups make terms and labels for themselves only for others outside of those groups to misuse them and even steal/reinvent what that word means: they think its cool but dont actually care about the seriousness of those terms/labels or the marginalized group they took the word from. it also waters down the seriousness of some terms, especially medical terms |

Hello!
I'm Wingnettle and my main passion are animals. I study animals, deaw animals, pet animals, study veterinary, collect animal remains, go animal-watching, photograph animals... and much more. Of course, I have animals. (3 pets, for now.)
I was diagnosed with borderline personality disorder, generalized anxiety and depression. It's a really hard daily fight for me, and sometimes the roleplaying community doesn't help at all (sorry to say that, but don't worry. I'm not referring to this forum in particular). I also have a non-classified eating disorder, which makes all of this definitely harder. Wow.
There are some things that give me comfort and distract myself in difficult periods, such as videogames and old tv series (spongebob is a must).
It would be soo good to meet new people and make some friends here! Don't fear to message me! I'm very gentle and don't bite, I swear <3

It’s been changed to Dragon Age: The Veilguard. They want to emphasize the protagonists rather than the big bad. Fandom opinion seems split on the new title. I think it’s an improvement over Dreadwolf, but the article is bothering me. Dragon Age: Veilguard rolls off the tongue easier. Why they changed it so late in development I have no idea.

I understand everyone has their own tastes but to me it no longer feels like a dark fantasy game and they've made it look so goofy and completely off-tone when the stakes have never been higher. If you have the youtube dislikes addon it's got a ratio (as of now) of 35k likes to 195k dislikes.
It looks like a mobile game. I feel like we waited 10 years to get spat on. 💀

Alright, I can admit being wrong. I still think the chunky artstyle is ugly as sin and the way they like... idk, my friend put it best when he said it looks like they borderlands-ified the character intros is just weird. but I have to say, just from the opening it seems like they didn't lose the plot like I was afraid of happening, and the combat looks smooth. Their mouth movements when talking on the other hand... not smooth. Freakishly uncanny even.

Hmm. Well, Game trailers rarely match the appearance of the actual gameplay. If it's any consolation, it probably won't look like the trailer. I guess we'll see soon enough. I would be thrilled if the game looks anything like it does in the trailer, so I guess we'll have to agree to disagree there ¯\_ (ツ)_/¯ edit: somehow I missed the gameplay reveal, whoops |

Well, there are a few things I'm not a fan of -- you're right about the faces looking weirdly smooth, I don't like that they reduced the party to two companions instead of three, and I'm not thrilled about the combat style and UI -- but that's what the modding community is for lol. And all the info we've been getting is more than enough to make up for any small complaints I have. I love the new companions - one of them has a baby griffon! The character creator in particular sounds very promising. Healing magic is back! Also very excited to see Rivain, Minrathous, and Arlathan! And best of all, no microtransactions or online play. That's just what I can remember off the top of my head. Lots of good things coming our way, can't wait <3

As long as the writing is actually good, I think I'll deal because *most* of DA's strength is the storytelling. Because I remembered DA2 and i dont think it could be much worse than that. DA2 was so boring to "play" I couldnt make myself finish the same exact rooms that many times with nothing to do. But watching someone else play it for the story was fun.
