It has occurred to me that this thread has been around for a little over a year now, and a lot can change in a year, so perhaps I ought to reintroduce myself to any newcomers who may stumble upon this humble chatroom.

So hello, I'm Tealraven! You can call me Teal or Raven. I have Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and I'm usually so good at masking it irl that I appear neurotypical to most people. My special interests are history in general but especially Colonial America/American Revolution/early US government, my OCs, and Dragon Age, and I'm currently hyperfixating on The Owl House. Feel free to talk to me about these things if we have common interests! c:

My favourite Elder Scrolls game is probably Skyrim since that was my first one and what introduced me into the series! I do like Morrowind and Oblivion to some aspects as well. I played Online for a bit but it was never really my thing. I have played the heck out of Skyrim though! Definitely one of my favorite games.

As for history, lately my current fixation is Europe during the Early Middle Ages, the Norman Conquests, and the Viking Expansion as well as the Viking expeditions across Europe and their travels west to North America. Especially how the Vikings made pretty large impact in countries like Iceland or Russia. Or how they managed to reach North America about 500 years before Columbus. For example, did you know that Dublin actually started out as a Viking trade hub to help establish their foothold in Ireland? Over time the local Norse became more Gaelicised and indoctrinated into Gaelic culture. Or that when the Vikings were launching their raids on England actually interacted with the local English (back then called the Anglo-Saxons), the two cultures actually majorly understood the other and didn't typically require translators due to Old Norse and Old English stemming from a much older language used by the earlier Germanic peoples.

Very nice thread. I was diagnosed with Asperger Syndrome as a child (I guess now level one Autism). I've been obsessed with Warriors since I was six, and for the past few years I've been working on my own alternate universe, which has been a ton of worldbuilding but almost zero actual writing, unsurprisingly. I'm in university to be a veterinarian. I like to collect things, such as Nintendo Power magazines and other books. I also really like Pokémon and geography.

Reading dictionaries front to back for fun as a child and seeing which ones did or didn't have the same words wasn't neurotypical behavior, was it?

It is not. But I also read the dictionary as a child.

Hello hello so uhh not diagnosed (yet..? idk lol) but my therapist is pretty sure I have ADHD, though it's very funky to diagnose considering a lot of the symptoms overlap with those of c-PTSD (which I am diagnosed with)

Why is it every time I play fallout 4 I start a new character help me.

sometimes i go through phases where i just pick a random topic that interests me and then decide to learn all about it and teach myself as much as i can. i just wanna soak it all up like a sponge. i think i'm currently hyperfixating on economics, of all things???? idk man. but everyone talks about it all the time and it's confusing so i want to understand it better.

also been reading a lot of history books lately (finally going through all the ones I bought but didn't read) and that's fun.

this is me every time i reopen skyrim or fallout tbh. i can't explain it
