my return to the wild. It has been a long time since I've role-played on these forums. I've moved onto more "adult" role-play sites that have more variety to them, as well as more activity (rip). I've garnered great RP partners on those forums, but there just aren't many people interested in Warriors there, lol. Recently, I've gotten that all-too-familiar itch to return to the world of Warriors and take up clan RPs. So, here I am, posting a 1x1 interest check with intentions of actually returning to it this time.
about me
I got my start role-playing on the WCRPF (the one where you had to wait for your post to be approved by the mods) and I have been a part of every iteration of the forums since. I've been RPing for over ten years now. I'm a huge reader and have recently been on the biggest reading kick I've had since around 2017. I currently have two long-standing RPs going on as well as a few new ones(on other forums), but I've remained friends with a good amount of my former partners. I'm currently in college and earning my degree in European history, which means I can be a bit busy.
I am completely open to hearing any suggestions you might have about plots. If you think I might be interested in one, just message me or post on this thread and we'll see if we can work something out. rules & expectations- I can type anywhere from a paragraph to a few pages per post, though I average at around 3-5 paragraphs. this is my average for human RPs, so I'm not quite sure what my style will be like returning to cats. I'm expecting it to be similar. I'd prefer my partner to be able to match me, and I them, in post length
- I prefer quality over quantity in posts - there will always be times where it's difficult to hammer out a long post without droning on and on about useless things. The sporadic few-liner is always acceptable
- I like posts with good detail, action, and dialogue
- I'm busy, so I can't respond every single day. To quote one of my long standing partners, I get posts up "usually a couple times a week. Sometimes you post daily but I feel like a couple/three times a week is the most accurate."

plots Two clans in the forest become allies and two cats, Cat A & Cat B, begin to meet each other. Upon meeting each other, they've realized they can take full advantage of the peace between their clans; by doing so, they offer to go on patrols that lead to secret meetings between the two and from there, a relationship sprouts. However, an apprentice/warrior grows suspicious of one of the cats, and decides to do some digging. Things can diverge from here: either one (or both) of the lovers kills the cat who's digging around, or the cat digging around reports the affair to both clan leaders. Either could work out very well, though the former would provide for darker themes.- Cat A is the medicine cat and being around kits and expecting queens all the time has taken its toll. As a medicine cat, she cannot have kits - it is forbidden. That doesn't mean that she doesn't want to have kits, though. She desperately wants to have a mate and family. She and Cat B, a tom from outside of the clan (could be a rogue or a cat from a different clan), will fall in love and she will have a litter of kits. Cat A tells her best friend, Cat C, about her pregnancy and her best friend takes her outside of the camp to help deliver the kits. The repercussions of this action are yet to be known, but the leader and the rest of the clan will surely have something to say as Cat A and Cat C bring the kits back to camp. Will she be punished for her pregnancy? Will the kits be punished? What will happen to her relationship with the tom? Only time can tell.
- Cat A is in an unhappy relationship with Cat B. Cat B is manipulative and controlling, and Cat A is building the courage to end the relationship. During a moonhigh solo patrol when Cat A finds a mysterious rogue, Cat C, on the territory, Cat A feels an instant connection with Cat C and promises to see Cat C the next night - which then turns into a series of nights. Cat B catches onto Cat A leaving camp nearly every moonhigh, so Cat B stalks Cat A to their gathering place and confronts the secret lovers.
Evil medicine cat AU where the medicine cat kills off anyone they consider a burden. They're smart enough to space out the deaths and only act when the time is convenient. Elders die of illnesses all the time and kits born in leaf-bare are always vulnerable from the cold and lack of food. The medicine den always has a good supply of lavender for dead bodies, so much that the medicine cat always has the soothing scent on their pelt. Of course, it's good for covering the scent of deathberries, too. Open-ended, details are up to us.

so i may or may not be considering a return to the forums as finals are winding down... and this has definitely caught my attention. especially the first plot. i am always down for a good forbidden romance and a perhaps a dash of murder lol. would you want to discuss some details? |

oooh that could be interesting. it could also be fun if the murder(s) gets revealed, so the clans alliance breaks down and a war breaks out between them ? if you wanted do a more over-arching/clan wide plot in the background. are you feeling more of like a “two psychopaths in love” vibe or more of a “two dumb kids in over their heads”? i think i prefer the second personally. |

𝑓𝑜𝑥 i have no clue yet! a small idea, but an idea nonetheless:
the cats are about the same age - maybe a few seasons apart, but still close enough to chat with each other at gatherings and the like. they ran in a few shared social circles at gatherings and always enjoyed talking. they're both fiercely loyal to their clans, though, so it never went beyond friendly chatter. maybe the alliance between the two clans is an alliance against a third clan, and so they start sharing patrols. that's how they could really start to get close. kind of like a TigerClan situation, but less evil

i like the Tigerclan-esque alliance idea a lot. that would definitely give more opportunity for interaction. do you want to flesh out a couple clans then? i'm down to throw together some geography, allegiances, etc. |

𝑓𝑜𝑥 sure! I think we should collab on the general area and then split up the clans. so, like, find an area we want the clans to be in (mountains, valleys, forests, etc.), then decide how many clans we want, and then split up who flushes out which clans.

sounds good ! what do you prefer as far as geography goes? i'm not too picky but i do like a more "traditional" territory is that makes sense. we could do like a mountain & a valley clan, a moor & a marsh clan, or a cliff/waterfall clan & a river/lowlands based clan? just some ideas of territories i feel like compliment each other but are still distinct. we could also toss a 3rd clan in there, a deciduous/coniferous forest would work as a third for a lot of those. or even a "farmland" sort of clan, like old barns/abandoned buildings, overgrown fields, etc.? |

𝑓𝑜𝑥 I like the idea of a cliff/waterfall clan & river/lowlands clan best. and yes, let's add one or two more clans to that. I think a forest clan would work well, specifically a coniferous forest. if we wanted to add a fourth, we could do a swamp/peat/marshland clan.

maybe the reason Gorge and Reed are allying against Bog is because Bog has just experienced a population boom (for one reason or another) and are looking to expand their territory?
also how do you want to split up creating the high allegiances (leader, deputy, med cat) and how many cats should there be per clan. I think 25-30 is a good amount

yeah 25ish sounds like a good size. i like the idea for Bog, we could say they took in a rogue group or something lately. do you want to just split high ranks half and half? like you do leader and I’ll do deputy for one and then swap.

which clan would you rather your character be from? I'm fine with either for mine, Gorge and Reed both sound like interesting clans.

oh that’s perfect then lol. xD i think it would depend on the rogue. I’d probably list them as warrior but I think I’ll give some warrior names and have some keep their rogue name. personally I was thinking Gorge? do you have any clan preference for your high ranks ? I’ll post some code for us when I’m back from work. |
