Did you have a good time with your family? yeah! it was a little strange because I barely know these people (my dad’s cousins, who live near my college) but they’re really nice! they had mostly ham and shrimp, which I’m not a fan of, but we also had penne, macaroni, baguette, olives, sweet potato (plus brown sugar), and Easter chocolates, and I had hot chocolate and then in addition to some Easter candy they gave me the remaining half of the baguette, a bag of olives, peanut cookies, and mini cupcakes (they also offered hot chocolate mix and shredded Parmesan but I don’t really have a use for those in the dorm)

Please stop listing food. I haven't eaten Lunch.
I'll take the stuff they offered and that you didn't take.
I think we just had macaroni.

I love how you have references in your siggy that no one will probably get. Just like I have in my status often times.

origin of “a very small horse:” the teacher (for some reason, there was probably context but I don’t remember it) specifically said there were no horses in Fahrenheit 451, so in my presentation I included a very small clip art silhouette of a horse, which you’d only notice if you were actively looking for it

when it’s 1:30 A.M. and you want to say something philosophical but every phrasing you can formulate sounds like an innuendo

My. XD I wish I could think of that sort of reference when making a presentation.

I made it tradition to include very small horses in all presentations following (except in my ap sem final presentation I instead put the word "horse" a few shades off from the background on one of the slides)

Heh, I wonder if there have ever been any students in my college who've included references in there work but I've just never noticed.

oh no poor horse!
I will never recover 😩 that’s only the second time I’ve seen him outside of astronomy stuff (and technically I handled it better this time because I didn’t run away)

I had fun with Dissolve layers (and Noise but I didn’t try anything new with Noise)

I've never heard of a dissolve layer. What's that?
|
|
|
Post by tiger beetle on Apr 7, 2018 13:24:18 GMT -5
(in a minute I’ll add some examples) Dissolve is a setting for layer (blend?) to change how the opacity works you’ve probably heard of Multiply? Overlay, Color/Linear Dodge/Burn? I know you don’t do much digital art but those get referenced a lot so if I color a layer set to Normal to be solid black, and drop it to 50% opacity, then it’ll just add darkness to whatever’s below it but instead of “fading,” Dissolve makes the opacity basically a percentage of pixels, so a solid black layer at 50% opacity set to Dissolve would have 50% black pixels and 50% empty pixels, resulting in an image that has 50/50 whatever it originally was and black the story of this image is that I wanted something with bright colors so that I could test out various effects on it, and I was watching a Youtube video where the people were talking about Phineas and Ferb, so Phineas shooting magic out of his hand was the first thing I could think of anyway regular image 50% Normal black layer 50% Dissolve black layer

Oh! Okay thanks!
I don't do digital very often, but I like making my own banners, so any tips are very helpful! <3
