Portia: So hey, how do you like this party, girl?
Nerissa: The party is a very hoppin’ one / but I enjoy the hottie right there more.
Portia (turning around and seeing Bassanio): If you, Nerissa, do not snatch him up / then I will strike and that boi will be mine.
Nerissa: (exasperated) If you want him, good Portia, he is yours.
Portia: Oh, what a joyous day this has become!
Nerissa: (Looks into camera like she’s on the office)


Portia walks over to Bassanio


Bassanio: Fair lady, when you walkéd over here / a thousand birds within my heart took wing.
Portia: You, soldier of my heart, if you would please / then would you care to share a dance with me?
Bassanio: And you my heart with one look stole away / if I can dance with you, I gladly will.


Bassanio grabs Portia’s hand and escorts her to the dance floor


Bassanio: So come you often here to dance and things?
Portia: Oh, yes, Bassanio, I come to wait / to dance with one who is as fine as you.
Bassanio: *Blushes* You make me blush, fine woman, with your grace / my ego you encourage, and my love.


Shylock approaches and sees a rich hottie in Bassanio’s arms


Shylock: Yo, *beep*, how is it hanging with you, yo?
Bassanio: Well, thank you, Shylock, but I must admit / I’m straight--
(Antonio cries in the distance)
Bassanio: --or, at least, taken at the mo.
Shylock: Okay, that’s fine, I did not speak to you / but rather that sweet honey in your arms.
Portia: Oh, Shylock, you...are very kind to me.
Shylock: You know me, yo, now how about we go / and get you out of his arms, into mine.
Portia: Or how about we do not do that, ’kay?
Shylock *tears in his eyes*: Well, okay, then, I see. All right, goodbye.


Bassanio: He’s very strange, that Shylock, don’t you think?
Portia: Oh, don’t be rude! I’m sure he’s very...kind...
Bassanio: I’m sorry, babe, I just could not control / my jealousy that he appeared to think / that your attractiveness exceeded mine.
Portia: Excuse me!?--
Bassanio *regretful*: --Sorry! That was just a joke!
Nerissa: OH, HOW CAN I COMPARE THEE TO THE SUN / DON’T WORRY, YOU ARE HOTTER THAN IT BABE
Portia: Aww, Thanks Nerissa! You are the best friend!
Nerissa speech: How torturous this party is to me; / my heart beats ever outward on my sleeve / and now my chest is empty of that heart. / The sun with Portia rises in the east / and sets now that she’s fall’n in love with him. / My passion never stirréd in my heart / until her features delicate I saw. / My love is blind, and this love blinds me more / than nighttime as her brilliant light dims. To her Bassanio is all she needs / she still knows not how great my love for her. / The beautiful mahog’ny of her hair / the sapphire light that dances in her eyes / the glasses that she wears so charmingly.
Nerissa: So...you and that Bassan’yo hit it off?
Portia: I think we are a match in heaven made!
Nerissa: I can’t believe you found your true love here!
Portia: But I’m afraid he’s taken currently.
Nerissa: Well, that’s a bitter twist, now, isn’t it.


Portia: If only that Bassanio loved me…
Shylock: (aside) If he won’t love her, now’s my only chance! / (to Portia) Hey babe, what happened? Did that other man / betray you and abandon you to dance?
Portia: Oh, Shylock, you are back. Don’t be a creep.
Shylock: A creep? Come on, now, I am not a creep.
Portia: I do not wish to dance with you tonight.
Shylock: Tonight? But will you come back here again?
Portia: Or any other night, so go away.
Shylock: But I have money, babe, I’m loaded, see? (points at glasses)
Portia: Well, it is true that I like being rich / but that’s the thing, I am already rich.
Shylock: But so am I, you see, if you and I / would put our wealth together, that would be--
Portia: I’m rich enough; I do not need your help.
Shylock: But everyone could use a little cash!
Bassanio (walking up): Are you that guy who showed up earlier / and tried to take my honey from my arms?
Shylock: I thought you said you had another babe.
Bassanio: An error on my part to tell you that.
Shylock: Bassanio, you cannot have two babes.
Bassanio: Well, Shylock, you are married, are you not?
Portia: How quickly my great dance has turned so bad!
Bassanio: I must go share this news with my...old friend.


(Bassanio is talking to a picture of Antonio) (pauses between lines as if Antonio is responding)
Bassanio: Antonio, I met a woman here.
Bassanio: Why, yes, she is the true light of my life.
Bassanio: I’m sorry, Tony. She is my true love.
Bassanio: A problem? Well...I guess she thinks I’m rich.
Bassanio: In Venice? Really? That is quite close by!
Bassanio: For money? Thank you, Tony, you’re the best!


Nerissa: Is Shylock fin’lly gone, out of our hair?
Portia: I think so, but he never really leaves.
Nerissa: And then the one you liked--Bassanio?
Portia: He had to make a run to see a friend.
Nerissa: So what is this hot dancing soldier like?
Portia: He’s rich and very handsome, that’s for sure. / He also seems so faithful; I just know / he will be back and ready to be wed. / I only hope my ailing father sees / Bassanio is truly meant for me.
Nerissa: I’m sure your father knows what’s best, of course. / He’ll recognize your love for him is true.
Portia: And then perhaps my wedding with my man / will lift his thoughts and make him well again!


Shylock: Bassanio’s a friend of Tony, then? / That man has brought me so much suffering! / He said he’d be in Venice, did he not? / I’ll have to go get ready for him, then… / If he wants money, guess his only choice / will be to come to me and face his fate! / Now if he looks to Venice for his bank / he’ll die and have Bassanio to thank.

Nature: Modest (honestly Timid is recommended but my thought process was "well base 65 isn't outspeeding anything ANYWAY" but then I remembered too late that everything in Alola is slow sooo)
Ability: Ice Body because I don't want to win by luck
(mine has the EVs spread somehow between HP, Special Attack, and Speed…I think he might have max Speed EVs but I'm not sure)
