I honestly don't. I agree with what others have said, I wouldn't mind if the main timeline ended and they continued writing arcs from DOTC onward - there was a lot of time between the end of DOTC and the beginning of TPB - and yes, we have novellas and SEs that take place between, but they can definitely come up with a lot of content in that timeframe. I think The Broken Code is actually a really good arc, and so is the first half of A Vision of Shadows. So I have hope for this series yet. It's definitely had its weaker moments, but ultimately I think it's pretty good. Also, quite frankly, I'm just not ready to let go of this series yet. It's been a big part of my life and it means a lot to me. The broken code is a pretty decent arc if it was a standalone series in a different genre ,and the themes undoubtedly attract new readers , but I’m sure I’m not only Avid long-time reader that feels alienated and frustrated with the quality of the storylines/plots/inconsistency and the overwhelming amount of background characters that never get to see the light of day , and wish the Editor/wiriters team would find a balance between trying to appeal to new readers , and keeping the long-time reader who respectively are responsible for the series becoming what it is today to begin with , satisfied and appeased as well . While I’d like for the Series to continue, and “fingers cross” have them create an arc that I find as memorable as the first 3 arcs , and DoTCs , part of me wishes they’d just find a way to wrap it up with some conclusion that’s meaningful, and leaves the characters and the readers on a complacent note , Rather then have them continue to besmirch all my Childhood memories with This Series , and repeatedly rubbing the characters into the dirt , while also raising undeserving characters onto a pedestal “cough Tigerheart cough “ . I’m my personal opinion each consecutive arc has progressively lost its identity as ‘Warrior cats’ and is slowly becoming one of the more outlandishly outrageous anime series that struggles with world consistency .

For me I would like the series to keep on going. I stopped reading after DoTC and was kind of hoping the newest series would bring me back but after hearing how horrible things are I decided to skip out.

Yes. I personally think it should have ended a few arcs ago. OOTS was not the greatest piece of literature, but the ending did feel like a nice bookend to it all. The Last Hope definitely felt like the close of the series to me, what with Firestar's death and Tigerstar's post-mortem comeback he'd been planning beyond the grave for almost three arcs. BrS and AVoS felt so disconnected from the rest of the series because of that. Characters and settings were familiar, but the plots didn't have the same feeling of continuity as previous arcs. (DOTC was in theory interesting, but I think I preferred having the clans' origins shrouded in mystery and legend.)
Moreover, I think the Erin team has started exhausting their original ideas. The writing feels less like an author invested in fleshing out their story and more of a "write for the cash" gig. The same drama gets recycled, characters feel less individual, established lore is ignored, and they let attachment to fan/author favorites get in the way of a better story. The recent books have neat ideas that are executed poorly. The fandom enjoys the expanded imagination sparked amongst itself by such mediocre application and forgets the actual canon implementation. In other words: the writing was never a literary masterpiece, but its quality has noticeably dipped over the past five years, and the fandom doesn't care as long as they keep getting daydream fodder.

I feel like it should end, do I want it to though? Not really. Warriors had been a very constant thing in my life and no matter how badly written some of the books may be I do enjoy the new books to the extent that I just like the warriors universe. Nevertheless I 100% do think the warriors series has come past it's prime for a while now. I want it to go on for selfish reasons more than anything but to be honest if we're not going to get any more main series books, meaningful novella's, super editions, and graphic novels would do fine as long as their done well (seemingly a bit of a challange for the hunters as of recent).

Yes. It is way past time for the arcs to end. I wouldn't mind more novellas and the like, but I think the main story should stop.

Everybody is entitled to their own opinion, but I am also a long-term reader (I've been reading since 2008), and while I do see that the quality has declined, I am still very satisfied with the series. I agree, it has its flaws. The sheer number of unknown background characters is definitely frustrating, and there are definitely some inconsistencies, but the inconsistencies can at least in part be attributed to the fact that there are multiple different authors. Ultimately I do think the series is still well written and I personally would like to see it go on longer. I feel like those that find the series to be bad now can stop reading, and just not count anything past what they like as canon, and allow the rest of us who do enjoy it to continue enjoying it without criticism. Like I said, everybody is entitled to their opinion, but if you really don't like it, it's not like you have to read it anymore.

Like I said, everybody is entitled to their opinion, but if you really don't like it, it's not like you have to read it anymore. I still enjoy the series , and find satisfaction from reading them . But just because you’re enjoying a piece of media doesn’t mean you shouldn’t criticize it for its faults , cause constructive criticism is what leads to improvements , better writing and characterization , and more imaginative character driven plots , more consistency etc . Enjoyment doesn’t mean the consumer has to sit back in be perfectly complacent when a piece of media releases mediocre material , cause it’s that type on mentality that has allowed triple A Gaming studios to continuously release half-finished , broken , buggy unplayable messes on launch day , that the consumer pays $60+ for , has a horrific experience then posts a negative review , and other come at him the comments saying “ stop complaining , the Game will get fixed with updates , give it 6-12+ months . It’s like “ No , I already paid for the Game , and I expect it to be fully functional , and ready to play , or refund my money !”. I understand criticism a lot of people the wrong way , and some people feel like there getting attacked personally when someone talks down on something they like/enjoy . But telling people that they should just stop reading the series because there criticizing it is akin to going to your school principal, to bring to light that someone been bullying you , and expecting them to do something about , yet for she/he to respond “just ignore it “ . I guess if you don’t like seeing people criticizing the series , I could tell you just to ignore it , but that’s the kind of Mindset that kept Dovewing and Ivypool at eachother throats for almost an entire arc , and even afterwards there Relationship was rocky at best . If every person that ever criticized Warriors stop reading it , this series would of ended over a decade ago , since it wouldn’t be getting sales . We are all entitled to our opinions , and I know there are some people who are perfectly content with the direction of the series , and there’s are large of portion of people that wish the writers/editors did a much better job , I mean some on them have almost 20 years of experience under there belts with this project , so with all that practice , quality should be more refined , crisp and polished with age , but it hasn’t really , of course that’s merely my humble opinion .

I should clarify, because I don't think I really said what I meant to say correctly. I didn't mean we shouldn't criticize the series for its flaws. When I said "without criticism", I meant that people should be able to enjoy the series without being criticized for enjoying it - and I didn't mean that to imply that you were criticizing anybody for enjoying it, but that is a theme I've seen in the fandom. I apologize that I didn't say what I meant correctly. I also didn't mean that people who criticize the series should stop reading it. But I've seen a good deal of hate toward the series from people who continue to read it just so they can criticize every little thing, and I feel like if people really dislike it that much, why are they still spending their time reading it? I 100% agree that the quality could definitely be better than it is, but I don't think it's terrible either. Again, I apologize that what I intended to say came across poorly. I wasn't trying to attack you, or anybody, nor was I trying to start a fight.

I wasn't trying to attack you, or anybody, nor was I trying to start a fight. think there might of been some clarity issues on both of our parts . I have no intention of insulting anyone for enjoying the series , or spark an argument . It’s perfectly fine if people wish for the series to continue , I personally would rather it continue , because I have many fond memories surrounding the series , I have a couple signed warriors books from the PoT series , and even both of the Official 2008 warriors Day t-shirts that I’ve kept for years , and an almost complete warriors collection of First edition, first print Books (main series ,SE, guides) . so I still very much care for the series as a whole . Was more pointing out that the general consensus among the community of many different types of media is , if you criticize something , your just being needlessly contemptuous, or flaming in order to spark an argument or hurt someones feeling for enjoying said media , while those kinds of people do exist in all fandoms , there’s plenty of good-natured people that genuinely care/enjoy said media , and will feel free to express there criticisms in hopefully a more constructive manner , with the intention of giving the creators feedback in hopes that they listen and will take the criticisms to heart , and make positive changes to appeal there audience . So I apologize if it might have come off rude , or that I was penalizing anyone for wishing that the series continues, I’m a meticulous , overly analytical and a scrutinizing stickler of a person that’s rather difficult to please when it comes to literature, or any other type of media , and there’s certain things that will infuriate me , and burn a hole in my brain that most of the readers of this series would have absolutely no qualms with . While I’ll definitely frequently disagree with other peoples opinions , whether it be about characters/books , errors , ships , plots you name it etc , I’d never intentionally shred someone over there opinions , or attempt to start a fight , or hurt someone’s feelings .
