Overhearing the commotion nearby, Hedgefur chuckled as he sat with his tail tucked over his paws in the middle of the clearing. It was nice to see and hear liveliness whenever possible. It brought an abundance of joy and spread so much positivity. His ear twitched as he glanced around, enjoying a slight breeze in the meantime.

Frostripes shrugged his shoulders then looks back at Hedgefur. "Thank you." He said feeling a little embarrassed. However, as long as Fawnkit was happy, he didn't care to much.

Hedgefur’s tail swished as he crouched down at his spot. “Oh, don’t worry about me. I’ve just got nothing better to right now as you can tell.” He meowed, hoping he didn’t make the cat feel bad.

Foxpaw watched his mentor play with the kit. His ear flicking out, he didn't care much tomorrow he would do his assessment so it was fine. He layer outside the apprentice den licking at his fur. He wished he could have stayed longer with Flower, the she cat had made him the happiest hes been in a while. A small smile formed on his face at the thought of getting to talk to her when he was a warrior.

Doekit who could hear the conversation shook her head at Hedgefur. Their mother didn't just abandon them. She had been sick and died. She didn't say anything though because she couldn't let Fawnkit know she had found her body. Fawnkit shrugged. "I've been told were almost apprentices. And they made a nest for us in the Medicine Cat den." She spun around and sat down. "I don't think Flora did anything wrong. I think she was sick." |

Hedgefur nodded curiously. “Alright. I won’t pry as I can understand the details may be sensitive.” He wrapped his tail around his paws. “Apprentices eh? That’s definitely exciting to think about and look forward to I’m sure. At least that’s something positive.” He meowed with a smile.

accompanied by: N/A (No one specific) Fernpaw watched Hedgefur, Froststripes, and Fawnkit from the entrance of the apprentices den. She sat a taillength away from Foxpaw. Her tail flicked with amusement at the kit's enthusiasm. She wondered if everyone was once like that, as the moment she was made an apprentice, her mentor ran her in circles doing this and that. Her green eyes betrayed the sorrow she felt as she remembered that she was without him now. Hickoryflame had joined StarClan not long ago and with the commotion, she was without a proper mentor. Leafshine would soon find herself in a starry field, nine cats stood in front of her in a half circle. Among them she would find Crowwatcher, Rivermist, Honeywaters,the rest were strangers. A pale grey tom moved forward, the stars in his fur were dim a sign he had been in starclan for many moons. "Welcome Leafshine," he spoke. "I'm Yarrowstar, I'll be helping run the ceremony. "I will." She felt rooted to the spot, awed at such an old StarClan cat giving her a life. He must have felt he should make sure the next leader leads his Clan well. I wonder if the founding leader, Whisperstar, will give me a life.She dipped her head and waited for the next cat to come in front of her.
