Dawnclan and Blazeclan have lived apart since their founders, a pair of siblings, Dawn and Blaze, decided to go their separate ways. The mountain valley they live in is always full of life and surprise around every corner, especially with two tentative rivals living so close to one another.
Dawnclan, in particular, is in for a few nasty surprises if a certain tom has his way...
Territory Overview ;;
[ Moon Rise Mountain ] To the north of both clan territories is the looming ridges of Moon Rise Mountain. The rocky terrain is sharp and normally deemed unsafe for daily clan life. Cats only wander up here to reach the Lunar Cave and sometimes to seek out prey during harsh leaf-bares. The mountain is full of predators, including large birds of prey and mountain lions.
[ Starry Falls ] At the base of the mountain, it's many streams flow into a large waterfall which flows into a pool - that ends up breaking into two different streams that carry on down the mountain(Salmon Stream and Running Stream). This is Starry Falls, a visually beautiful place and a very spiritual one for the clans. Behind the falls is the entrance to the Lunar Cave - where both clans speak with Starclan. While the medicine cat or leader goes to share-tongues with their ancestors, warriors and apprentices will wait beside the pool.
[ Lunar Cave ] Behind the Starry Falls, is the entrance to the cave. The tunnel is damp and dark, so only your whiskers and paws can guide you deeper. After a few fox-lengths, the tunnel finally begins to widen and light begins to slowly pour in. The tunnel opens subtly into a wide cavern with milky white crystals lining the walls that seem to glow softly in the moonlight that shines in from a hole in the ceiling. Bathed in silvery light and surrounded by crystals, the two clans receive dreams from their ancestors.
[ The In-between ] At the foot of the mountain, surrounded to the east by the Salmon Stream and to the west by the Running Stream, is the In-Between. This patch of unclaimed land is where the clans have gatherings every full-moon. The leaders sit on a large boulder closer to the mountain while their clans spread out in the clearing below them.
[ Salmon Stream ] The reasoning behind this name is pretty self-explanatory. Salmon are very easily during the colder months, normally taken down by a pair of fishing cats. This stream is in Blazeclan territory and is rather wide. The current is fast moving, not amazing for fishing but it is possible to catch fish here none the less. Also stands as the border for Blazeclan territory. Blazeclan cats swim across the stream every full-moon to reach the In-Between.
[ Running Stream ] The smaller of the two streams that surround the In-Between and run into Shadow Lake. This is the border for Dawnclan territory and a highly contentious area between the felines. This stream is much more slow moving, perfect for fishing, which makes it highly desirable to the Blazeclan cats who are predominantly on a fish diet. Dawnclan, however, uses the stream to swim and relax in, since the water isn't too deep in most areas. Rarely do they use it to fish, as forest prey appeals to them much more. A fallen tree is used as a bridge every full-moon if the water is too deep, or the cats simply run across in the drier months.
[ Two-leg Place ] South of the clan territories and Shadow Lake, is the Two-leg Place. It's not a very large town, mostly a camping/destination place that's only really busy during green-leaf. This doesn't mean there are no kittypets, dogs, or wandering two-legs to be wary of from time to time. Herbs can be found here year-round in gardens but it's risky and usually clan cats avoid the area.
[ Shadow Lake ] The large lake in the center of the area. Herbs grow along the banks, ducks and swans can be found at certain times a year, the odd two-leg in strange floating contraptions... The lake is a strange place - not owned by either clan. Drowning is a very real possibility, especially in Dawnclan where their shore is mostly cliffs. In Blazeclan the lake is a nice place to fish and cool off.

Oaks, maples, ash, birch, and sycamore trees can be found scattered all around, surrounded by dense undergrowth that can be difficult to navigate. A small pool of water rests right outside a small ravine, which the clan uses to shelter their camp, to provide fresh water.
