In which arc have you enjoyed ThunderClan the most? (not counting DOTC because ThunderClan as a group didn't even exist for most of the arc)
I love POT ThunderClan the most. The whole clan felt interconnected, I knew every character and whoever else in the clan they were related to, and I thought even the background characters were great here. I can't really explain it, but ThunderClan just feels so cozy in POT.
Of course, you don't have to focus on just the characters or positive things. For example, if you're having a lot of fun reading about ThunderClan's strife in TBC, then by all means feel free to pick TBC~

I agree about The Power of Three, it seemed like the majority of cats had a personality at that time, the Omen of the Stars too. It was great seeing actual character interactions, it feels like we haven't seen that in awhile, besides plot relevant characters, like Toadkit trolling Jayfeather added nothing to the plot, but it was so enjoyable to read.

Probably The New Prophecy or Power of Three. The New Prophecy kind of has the appeal that you mentioned for Power of Three, which is why I'm ranking them with each other. Also, The New Prophecy kind of feels like it's where they really start giving more flavor to even the minor characters, like Mousefur or Shrewpaw (for as long as he was alive, anyway) or Sorreltail. Like, contrast TPB Mousefur to basically every other depiction of her. She kind of feels like "okay, what if Frostfur wasn't a queen". A bit of a hardass with the "going behind Bluestar's back" thing but otherwise just kind of a "generic tough female warrior". TNP is where she kind of gets developed more as a "takes no bullshit", sort of cranky or at least easily annoyed, "I'm usually the person in the room who knows best" type, even before she hits the elder's den. And a lot of characters get that. The first series had some decently developed side characters, but they were usually ones directly tied to Fireheart, Bluestar, or Tigerstar, like Longtail, Whitestorm, Cinderpelt, etc. The Thunderclan TNP cast is where they seem to really start to grow all together, and I knew how each cat was connected.
Fast forward to Broken Code. I don't remember HALF of these dorks, much less who they're related to or what their connections to others are. Even the characters that get some legit spotlight, like Spotfur? Hell, I didn't remember that her parents were Lionblaze and Cinderheart until somebody else said it in a thread from earlier today. It's gotten too messy.

The first arc. I liked Bluestar's stern Clan, devoted to the warrior code, quietly efficient and very loyal to their leader, and always united in tough times.

First arc characterized ThunderClan well imo. They weren't goody-two-shoes-Clan that need to fix any and every problem in the series, but rather a struggling group of wild cats pulling through trying times

Power of Three. I liked reading all the character interactions and getting to know that subtle differences between them was really fun.

The New Prophecy. A lot of my old favorites were still alive, it was Firestar's fist full arc leading, and I liked seeing how ThunderClan dealt with the journey and settling in.

The first one. They seem more alive at that point.

Maybe an unpopular opinion, but I'm liking them a lot in TBC. In practically every other arc, ThunderClan is the noble Clan who can't do anything wrong. And if they do, it had good intentions. Not in TBC though. When Ashfur takes the helm, he runs the Clan like a tyrant and I've seen some people point out that it's a bit similar to a fascist state (Ashfur's dictator-like reign, he changes the code as he sees fit, exiles and/or attacks anyone who disagrees, and even tries to kill others, among other things), though whether you believe that is up to interpretation I suppose. In short though, it was a pretty terrible place for everyone there.
The battle in Veil of Shadows for example, ThunderClan (along with WindClan and RiverClan, but still) were the bad guys. They were the aggressors following the imposter to drive out ShadowClan, ShadowClan was only defending themselves as well as being the only Clan to outright oppose the imposter. I think it's a nice change of pace to see ShadowClan, generally the "evil" Clan, be the good guys, while ThunderClan, generally the "good" Clan, be the bad guys. After that, all the other Clans are mostly well off, but ThunderClan's the one having massive internal strife, having members outright leave the Clan and question their place there as well as massive trust issues with everyone. Again, it's really just nice to see ThunderClan being the ones to have shit hit the fan for once, and I'm all for it.

I especially adored ThunderClan during TPB (first arc) but also really liked them in TNP (second arc). They just seemed to have more personality as a whole Clan and more interesting struggles to get through united rather than it being constantly focused on individual characters all the time like it became later on in most other arcs. Also, they weren't always getting accused of wanting to be all up in the other Clan's business like it happened in PoT, OotS and AVoS. I get that they were only trying to help but it does come off as annoying sometimes. I also agree with Hollyfall, about ThunderClan finally being the ones to become sort of villainous for once in TBC instead of it being ShadowClan again like they were during TPB (Brokenstar and Tigerstar I), PoT (Sol) and AVoS (Darktail).

I loved TNP ThunderClan, but mostly out of nostalgia.
TPB ThunderClan is a close second.

TPB. I liked when TC was small and we got to know the characters more personally.
Now we have to many but too little time to know them.
DoTC comes in second place for me.

The Power of Three is my favorite arc because it felt like the characters actually had character to them. They had personalities and cute interactions that made ThunderClan feel alive. I knew how the characters felt about each other and their friendships actually felt meaningful. It felt more like a big family to me. Omen of the Stars kinda continued that but the seeds were definitely planted in Power of Three since they are so closely intertwined. The Prophecies Begin has a similar vibe but it felt like something stricter, united out of duty instead of a tightknit community. I am definitely biased since I haven't read any of the more recent books but from what I can tell, its more plot driven than character driven and very few characters actually feel alive.

It seems that in TPB and POT they felt the most united.
